While I find Cheyenne, WY to be way overpriced for what you receive in hotel quality... which is strange for Wyoming. I could not recommend this hotel unless you are a tired traveler and all the others are sold out.
Positives: The hotel was very easy to find off the Interstate and parking lot was well marked.
Negatives: Not what you would expect when paying almost $92 after taxes.... interior of the hotel was aged and dull, the rooms had the aroma of a feed store.

I guess if you are just traveling though, it wouldn't be so bad, but we stayed two nights and were not happy with the quality of the stench in the air from smoke or the "free breakfast" items. The coffee was probably made fresh three or four days ago.
Positives: I won't be back again.
Negatives: The hotel was run down and loud. The train across the road woke me up several times a night.

Hotel next to exit ramp on Interstate and train track with a crossing. Therefore noise from trucks slowing to exit highway and train whistles at the crossing left me and my wife with a poor nights sleep.
Positives: The free breakfast was okay.
Negatives: Hotel next to exit ramp on Interstate and train track.

Not much more than basic shelter.
Positives: Provided shelter from the wind.
Negatives: Not conveniently located.

The first room we got, the bed was not made well and had hairs in it - cigarette burns in the spread of a non-smoking room. We complained and they changed us to a different room. Both rooms smelled - wasn't sure if it was a urine smell or a bad cleaning solution. The second bed was clean, but not well made, but the sheet was stained some. The lights would not work and it took us some time to figure out if the light bulb was out, but it wasn't plugged in. The tub was stained and the caulk looked dirty. We sprayed the room with an air freshener, but had to use it again the next morning.
Positives: They let us change rooms with no problem.
Negatives: Facilities in room run down, lights not plugged in, dirty bed, stained sheets & tub.

Good value, this hotel had both rooms but I had to call them to get a non-smoking room. Had continental breakfast which was nice. General appearance was good.
Positives: Continental breakfast.
Negatives: Smoking rooms.

It was very nice.
Positives: They told us the Continental Breakfast was from 7-9. When we had to leave at 6, it was ready!
Negatives: It's too close to the railroads--Train whistles woke me several times.

It was noisy and could stand a bit of updating. The heating unit in our room was to loud to leave on while trying to sleep and it was to cold not to have it on!
Positives: The staff were very friendly.
Negatives: Right between a highway and train tracks, very noisy.

Nice place to stay. Would have gotten higher review if mattress Pad wouldn't have been lumpy. Good breakfast.
Positives: Great receptionist at front desk, set the stage for a good stay. Good breakfast.
Negatives: No pool indoors and sheets were wrinkly and mattress pad lumpy.

Comfortable. Worked for what we were there for. Room would be small for a family.
Positives: Clean, friendly staff, good price, cont. Breakfast.
Negatives: Small rooms, one security door was not secure.

Room was very nice and large, liked having the desk to work at. My only complaint was a very strong deodorizer they used in the room (very perfume) had to light a candle to overcome.
Positives: Quality & price.
Negatives: The deodorizer they used in the room whew!

The La Quinta is a pleasant place to stay, right off of the Interstate in Cheyenne. There is easy access to historic Downtown Cheyenne, and it provides all of the basic amenities to a pleasant stay; the room was clean, the bathroom was clean, I had control of the heat in my room and the room itself was not "dated." all in all it was a very nice place to rest each evening.
Positives: It was a clean space to sleep with plenty of hot water.
Negatives: It did not have an indoor pool.

If you're looking for a place to rest your head and not much else you've found it here. Located close to the interstates is La Quinta hotel. It may not be very comfortable or luxurious but it is hard to beat it price and location. Clean, quiet rooms, that little coffee pot in your room, etc. You know, pretty much everything you need when you are road tired and need to crash. The beds and pillows have a lot to be desired so best to bring your own pillow (a travelers creedo).
Positives: It was inexpensive and clean.
Negatives: Uncomfortable bed and pillows, starchy towels.

The hotel is close to I 25 which is good and close to a very busy railroad line. We turned the AC on and it completely dround out the train noise. Natives are hospitable and friendly. They are the biggest asset of Cheyenne.
Positives: Friendly, helpful staff.
Negatives: No instructions on how to activate the shower. Had to call the front desk. The second person called new the answer.

Comfortable, convenient, a little worn.
Positives: They allowed dogs in the room.
Negatives: No nearby area to allow dogs to run.

This hotel in not up to normal La Quinta standards. Needs a major renovation but is too close to the multiple railway tracks that handle a train every five minutes. The trains try to limit the whistle blowing but the noise is still too much.
Positives: Not a good experience at all.
Negatives: Approx. 12 trains per hour passed within 500 feet of hotel.

This hotel feels more like a one-and-a-half star establishment. We were forced to stay in a smoking room which is very disappointing.
Positives: It was easy to find from I-80.
Negatives: Staff attempted to charge me for my stay upon departure.

Nice, moderate clean facility. Nice, moderate continental breakfast. Easy parking. Very convenient off the interstate.
Positives: It was very convenient. Nice staff. Good continental breakfast.
Negatives: It involved a trip to the front desk to resolve.

Pleasantly set back from the nearby road. La quintal has an attractive entrance which leads you directly to the main desk. The representative identified herself and provided complete information about room location and additional amenities.
Positives: Quick, courteous service, very clean rooms, quiet.
Negatives: Difficult to find driveway into hotel.

We were really pleased with this hotel. We stayed for three days and it was great. The room was nice and large with a desk which came in handy with having two young children with us. It was very clean and very accommodating to our needs.
Positives: It was close to the freeway, but away from the downtown noise.
Negatives: Did not have indoor pool.
