Not a 3 star hotel. Carpets were dirty! Walls were thin, and we were kept up by people talking in next door room.

This hotel looks very upscale from the lobby, however, the rooms are not. They do not appear to have been updated since the hotel was built, likely in the '80s. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We had a squealing coming from our bathroom walls about every 15 minutes. We asked the front desk to look into it. The sent up a maintenance person, but he did not fix the issue and they would not let us change rooms even though there were many others available. Maintenance was in you room for about a half hour between midnight and 12:30. The windows also did not seal out sound, so we woke to a diesel tour bus outside the lobby at 8am that lasted to 9. I would not return to this hotel and would advise everyone to stay away if you expect a decent nights rest.

Positives: The lobby is very nice.

Negatives: The rooms are outdated and run down. Parking is expensive.

My view was of a balcony facing a black wall with rust and beer bottles and the room had a horrible smell. The hallways were dark, the floors stained, holes in the doors, wallpaper ripped and rat traps under the armories. The lobby, fitness area and pool are three star but don't stay in the rooms!

Positives: Staff was pleasant and relocated us to 3 different rooms.

Negatives: The hotel rooms were poor quality.

Not recommended to most people.

Positives: The only attraction is the location.

Negatives: Poor room condition, broken coffee pot, old TV, clogged toilet, etc.

Stayed here during Easter and was not impressed. 1st we had some guys shouting and swearing all night which prevented us from sleeping, complained to security in the early morning hours and had to put up after that with noise and swearing of the shouters plus the security guys trying to get rid of them. Room was small, washroom was too small, no fan in the washroom, drainage problems in the tub.

Positives: Nice lobby.

Negatives: Room, noise, and staff.

Can I emphasize, OLD and tired. It's a hotel that needs a complete makeover. It was probably a nice hotel about 20 years ago but it's definitely passed it's prime. I would never stay there again. It was also very noisy as teenagers were talking through the hall, drunk and loud. We called the front desk and security even came by but by then our sleep was ruined. It was supposed to be a nice shopping weekend, but this hotel is not the place to stay. Not even for the price. You couldn't pay me enough to stay here again.

Positives: Convenient location to shopping. Drive to Walden Galleria is a few miles away.

Negatives: Old, dated hotel. Too noisy as many young adults staying there to party because it's inexpensive.

The Adams Mark was an upscale hotel 15 years ago. However, I don't think they have updated any part of the hotel in 15 years. I will not stay there again.

Positives: The location is great.

Negatives: The rooms were old with worn furniture and outdated bathroom facilities.

Great location - friendly staff.

Positives: Location was great and nice staff.

Negatives: We paid far more price for the room and there was construction going on everywhere.

I would not recommend this hotel. It's right on the highway and the noise level in the room was like nothing i had ever experienced. When we walked in the room, I was convinced that the window was open because it was so loud in the room. They should really invest in better windows if you're going to have a hotel on the highway. Also, the hallway carpets are full of stains.

Positives: Hotel staff was nice.

Negatives: Noise inside the room from the highway.

The hotel was very comfortable. Dated, but exceeded expectations. the room itself was a little run down. For example, the panel securing the carpet was peeling, exposing dust/dirt. However, the location was super convenient and the bed in particular was very comfortable. Parking is not included in the price which was a bummer.

Positives: Location

Negatives: Paid parking.

Overall this hotel will definitely be a repeat stay for my family.

Positives: Loved the professional set up of the business and dining area so well.

Negatives: There were areas in public places that had unfinished repairs.

Hotel was very comfortable and clean although it does need updating. If you are looking for something affordable and close to the HSBC arena this is definitely a good place to stay!

Positives: The beds were incredibly comfortable and teh staff was great!

Negatives: Decor needs updating.

Hotel is OK but needs upgrading of the facilities. The carpet, rooms (bathroom), saw many items that needed repair. Staff would avoid going the extra mile to help customers and even avoided cleaning up messes that were visible.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Hotel is not in good condition-repairs needed.

I was there for one night only to pick up my sister's family who were flying in on Saturday morning. I found the room, decor very good and the staff at the room very good.

Positives: Clean room, very professional staff.

Negatives: Bath room a bit small.

The only review I can give is that they must have a really good photographer do the pics for the website.

Positives: The swimming pool was nice.

Negatives: The hotel was dirty and you had to pay $10/day just to park there!

Everyone that worked at the hotel was amazingly nice. My only concerns were the lack of lighting in the hallway of my room, as well as the lack of cleanliness in the room. A wall in the room also had a hole in it.

Positives: The hotel staff was amazingly nice.

Negatives: The hotel room was not the cleanest and it had holes in the wall.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. Each time, they have tried to stick me in a room with two double beds when I have requested a king bed in advance. They charge $10 per day for their on-site parking lot, which is not mentioned at all in the reservation process until you arrive for check-in. Also, you can expect to be at the desk for a minimum of ten minutes when you attempt to check in, because the staff is totally incompetent. If they don't know how to use the computer, they'll ask the manager. Then the manager won't have any idea what to do, either. Each time you deal with them, it's like it's their first day on the job. During both of my stays, the room cards and parking lot access cards didn't work. After multiple trips down to the front desk, they couldn't figure out how to resolve the situation. It became extremely frustrating. Checking out is a another sluggish ordeal to say the least. Expect to be at the desk for another 10-minute minimum. The reason why, is because the staff cannot figure out how to smoothly execute a basic check-out with no extra room charges. They will again have to fetch a manager, who furthermore will also not know what to do. After 10 minutes of bumbling around, they'll tell you that you're all set with a confused look while they give a shoulder shrug of guessing. There's no professionalism whatsoever at the hotel, nor any hint that anyone knows what they're doing. They pride themselves on being the crown jewel of Buffalo hotels, but everything besides a pretty lobby falls short of expectations. My last complaint is with the reservation manager.

<BR/>

Positives: Attractive lobby.

Negatives: Bumbling staff, bad parking arrangement and arrogant reservation manager.

Great location, good service, good parking and fine rooms. Our experience was hampered by very noisy guests; however, the hotel was very accommodating and proactive in dealing with this situation.

Positives: Great location for hockey games at HSBC.

Negatives: Temperature was difficult to regulate. - Elevators very slow.

I bet it was a great place in 1985. Looks like upgrades were a low-budget, sad attempt to maintain some status but failed. I paid for 4 nights and took a side trip for a couple days and returned to find that they had put someone in my room while I was gone. I guess mine was nice because there were only about 40 guests in the hotel that week - besides the freshman class, I mean. I had a package delivered there that no one could find until I showed them the delivery confirmation.

Positives: Attractive Xmas decorations.

Negatives: Not accommodating in the least bit.

The hotel was quality. The rooms were clean, the view was nice and the extras were comforting. The pool seemed huge, and the work out room had everything I needed to keep my workout up to date. Though the restaurant had a limited and over priced menu. I had to eat due to a blizzard and learned its burgers are quite tasty but not ten dollars tasty. The only big negative is the parking. I would actually skip to another location but if I had no car and money for a cab, I would hit up this location.

Positives: The hotel was clean, the food was slightly overpriced but tasty. I enjoyed the size of the workout room and the view of a white Buffalo.

Negatives: Parking cost way to much, and everything within walking distance of the hotel closes at 6pm. If only buffalo could stay open till 8pm.

The hotel is older and shows it's age in spots. The staff could not be friendlier, except the bartenders. We had a little drink left in our glasses and they were taken from us! When we questioned the other bartender the said oh thats typical of him! Never was asked if we wanted a refill.

Positives: For what we were doing the location was great.

Negatives: Needs revamping and new carpets.

Hotel was neat and clean, but rooms were small, and furniture &amp; carpets were worn. Even on the 8th floor the rooms were very noisy due to the proximity to I-190.

Positives: Staff was friendly and rooms were clean.

You know it has a great location and friendly staff but the rooms are shabby and the bathrooms is disgusting. My bathroom was full of mold. The carpet in the room was dirty. What more can I say.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: Dirty and moldy.

While the lobby gives the impression of ultra-glitz, I thought the room was average for the level the hotel was supposed to be. Prices for parking and food were high. The room was comfortable, and convenient to the convention we attended. We were disappointed the hotel did not offer complimentary continental breakfast to guests, since that is usually typical of this level of hotel. I also did not see a lot of handicapped accommodations, particularly for conference attendees.

Positives: Awesome entry way and ballroom. Location was convenient to business travel purpose.

Negatives: I thought the food prices were high.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Adams Mark Hotel. Our first night we had an encounter with the room adjacent to ours. As soon as we checked into our room 4th floor we heard noise coming from the room across. There was a party going on and it was 11:30pm. We immediately called the front desk to complain and soon we heard security knocking on the door adjacent to ours. Apparently, security knew the party and told them that there are complaints of the noise that they were making. The party had asked who complained? As the security shared that bit of information with the other party, we were victims of harassment our hotel room door was spat on and the noise increased. We demanded to be moved to another floor. The next two days of our stay was much better, but we later learned that the Adams Mark has made an agreement to allow the local college students to use several rooms/floors as their college was renovating their dorms. The staff was very sympathetic and apologized, however some weren't aware that the hotel had arranged with the local college. The manager was very helpful and moved my wife and I to a nicer room on the 9th floor. This left a very bad impression of the hotel and how it runs their business.

Positives: Nice staff.

Negatives: Mixing college students with hotel guests can cause problems.

At the time of our stay, we learned that the Hotel allows the local college students to stay in their rooms while their college is completing their dorm rooms, however we had a very bad experience with some of their college student patrons. We were placed adjacent to a party. We complained about noise the first 30 minutes of our stay. The security later talked to the party making noise and disclosed to them who complained. As security compromised our confidentiality. We were faced with harassment that first let us with a very bad first impression. The students were very disrespectful and rude. This was not a good first impression. The day supervisor later comp'd our breakfast and parking. The staff was very sympathetic and apologized, but I would not recommend to any one.

Positives: Freindly staff.

Negatives: College students were occupying floors, some students were very loud and rambunctious!
