My co-worker and I were dragged and relocated to a dirty small hotel in no where and put into a terribly smelly smoking room. We protested, ran up and down the stairs for help.
Positives: None.
Negatives: Cheating.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. I liked the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. I thought that the parking should have been free, but I ended up parking on the street behind the hotel which worked out okay.
Positives: This hotel was clean and comfortable.
Negatives: Parking was a problem. I felt like guests shouldn't have to pay extra to park.

If you are looking for a hotel convenient to the subway and bus lines but out of the bustle of NYC the Holiday Inn Express in Brooklyn is the place for you. Excellent breakfast buffet featuring hot and cold selections.
Positives: Very close to NYC subway stop.
Negatives: Neighborhood was a little sketchy.

You can reach Manhattan by metro in about 20 minutes and the metro station is right around the corner. The room was not very big, but had everything you need for a short stay (however no microwave oven or fridge, which would have been nice). The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is free (toast, cereal, yogurt, eggs, fruit), but don't expect too much. The dining room was always extremely crowded. The rooms had free wireless internet and you could also use the business center with a PC and printer.
Positives: You could reach Manhattan easily by public transport.
Negatives: Some parts of the breakfasts (i.e. eggs) were not really good.

Very nice hotel would recommended to anyone. Clean pleasant rooms. staff were very nice and helpful. Only problem was location being just outside the nicer area, but seemed safe no problems walking outside at night 11:00 PM.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful in directing us to the tourist spots of NYC. It was at the very edge of the Park Slope neighborhood which had many places to eat, shops, etc. Very small parking lot in back, which I felt moderately safe going to at night. Good breakfast in the morning and was very kid friendly.
Positives: Very clean and close to subway.
Negatives: Took a while to get into Manhattan using the subway.

Overall a nice place and good experience. Convenient access to subway and Manhattan. Took less than 30 minutes to get to theater district by train, if you know what you're doing. Got stuck in a smoking room which smelled. Bought breeze to clear out the smell a bit, all the hotel staff managed to do was open a window, which did nothing. Friendly, helpful staff. Neighborhood looks dicey but never really felt unsafe.
Positives: Convenient access to subway. Although not a major stop.
Negatives: Immediate neighborhood appears dicey.

Location was easy to find, parking was adequate, check in was simple. The room was very nicely decorated (rather soothing after a long day); the bathroom was modern and very clean. The continental breakfast exceeded my expectations of offerings (pleasantly surprised). I highly recommend this facility!

This hotel may be good for out of town tourists - it is inadequate and inconvenient for business travel.
