Upon arrival the hotel had a small narrow entrance way. I had to move my room because the TV was not working. The new room i got was smelly of smoke. The floors looked un clean and the shower did not work. We were next to a window with a train going by all night and the view was not pretty. The bed sunk in and was not comfortable. I really should complain about getting a refund
Positives: They didn't charge extra for incidentals.
Negatives: There was no working shower and the floors were dirty

At the front desk the clerk barely spoke English, walking to our room it seemed as the whole hotel was under construction besides our room. The non smoking room made all of our stuff smell like smoke. Heard the train go by all night.
Positives: Nothing,
Negatives: I left the non smoking room smelling like smoke!

Days Inn Brooklyn was a convenient walk from the 36th Street subway and two stops from my appointment in Park Slope. I enjoyed the ethnic diversity of the neighborhood, and the hotel hosts were very pleasant. I appreciated the complimentary coffee and Danish as I left early in the morning.
Positives: Room was clean, convenient, well priced.
Negatives: Stain on blanket.

This hotel was fine for my purposes. It was clean and safe. My most important requirements!
Positives: It was clean and a little more economical for the short time I needed to be there.
Negatives: It was a little further away from where I needed to be.

The hotel's location in Brooklyn was in a borderline sketchy neighborhood. Upstairs toilet overflowed, leaking into our room. Staff failed to properly clean up after the problem. Two separate nights we received phone calls from someone claiming to be staff who said we had to turn out TV off and not use phone. Staff claimed this was a hoax. Overall staff failed to respond to our needs. They simply smiled and nodded their heads.
Positives: I wasn't robbed during stay!
Negatives: Upstairs toilet overflowed, leaking into our room. Staff failed to properly cleanup.

We were in a half basement where our view was the garbage. There were millipedes in our room and the air filter looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. The workers weren't very helpful or nice. This hotel was a very upsetting one.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Quality, service, the hotel room.

This hotel was okay. It is good for a short stay. Bathroom was ok; room was nice small but nice, hotel staff unsure of as I did not come in contact with them only the front desk staff. All in all, hotel good for a short stay.
Positives: Location was good because there was so much around and train was very close.
Negatives: Bathroom was exceptional, is not the greatest but dealt.

Great, affordable option for folks who don't need much more than a clean, quiet place to sleep and shower before hitting the town.
Positives: Very close to the Subway.
Negatives: Cleaning cart always parked in the narrow hallway.

I am not a complainer. As a musician, I have stayed in the best and worst hotels. but when the room next to me has a door slamming all night long and rude-talk conversations taking place in the hallway all night long, at 4:30 a.m., the desk clerk was telling, the adjacent occupant, that their checkout time was 3:15 a.m. She left and another hooker moved in immediately. This is not a hotel, this is a brothel! Stay away.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Total lack of sleep.

No lobby, no restaurant, no amenities. Breakfast minimal. Room microscopic.
Positives: Cheap.
Negatives: Room reeked of cigarette smoke.

It's a sort of hole in the wall in a crummy street, with the tiniest reception area and poker-faced staff behind what looked like bullet-proof glass. The room given to me was very small and the beds, with their thin cheap coyly mattresses, extremely uncomfortable. But the room was clean and had all the basics. And the bathroom was impressive enough, with nice fixtures, marble-like tile, a full-size Jacuzzi bath - no doubt holdovers from a more ambitious management. There was loud talking noise in the hallways at intervals throughout the night - and a call to reception did not exactly take care of the problem. In the morning, since the room was across from the janitor's room, more clamor.
Positives: The bathroom was a good few notches above the rest.
Negatives: Cheapest mattress, noise in the hallways, unwillingness to change my room.

Cheap digs. Almost zero public space, as it is squeezed onto a tiny lot in Brooklyn. Because the weather was nice, the front doors could be open, so it was not as claustrophobic. Hotel staff had a very marginal grasp of English. Room was okay, but really small.
Positives: Cheap.
Negatives: Cheap.
