I have stayed in better beds that didn't feel like a roll up bed in cheaper hotels. Also, most hotels come standard with fridge and microwave for the price. I only stayed for the pool but no time. They looked a little run down. I remember when it was beautiful in the rooms.
Positives: I liked it had a pool, even though we didn't have time to swim.
Negatives: I didn't like the younger kids hollering down hall in morning when we got in late from traveling thru a storm.

Negatives: Needed window repair/ replacement.

The hotel was decent and clean. Very noisy, especially if you have a room facing the pool. You hear every noise, even from the halls and other rooms.
Positives: It was clean and the room was spacious.
Negatives: The pillows were horrible. There was a selection of 6 and all were flat.

reat hotel for the price.
Positives: The women at check in were the loveliest friendliest ever!
Negatives: Wish it had an outdoor pool.

Overall, a most enjoyable stay in a very nice hotel, in a great location. We appreciated being in the central part of Auburn, and used that as our centre for exploring the town itself, and the Finger Lakes. Dined in the pub twice, and found the food very good. Service was not good on the first night, but great on the second.
Positives: Central location, well appointed, nice pool, good in-house pub/restaurant.
Negatives: Staff seemed a little pushy on the day of departure, with a knock on the door from housekeeping at 08:15hr! Seemed to be waiting for us to leave!

The hotel is very nice and clean with large rooms including a fridge and microwave. The restaurant that was open for breakfast was nice with good food and the waitress was very friendly. However, upon check in, I had to wait about 5 minutes until the front desk clerk came out from the back office and the hotel operator never answered my call from my room. Also, although it wasn't a problem for me, the hotel is a block from a prison. You can even see the guard tower from the back of the hotel.
Positives: The rooms were very large and clean with a fridge and microwave.
Negatives: There are not enough parking spaces available at night.

Overall, the hotel is the best in Auburn.
Positives: Location, salon, and restaurant/bar.
Negatives: I had requested a specific type of room, but that was not honored.

The wedding on Saturday night which wasn't too bad but you could really hear the music in your room. Other than that we had a really good stay room was clean food in the hotel was very good. The hotel close to a lot of things to do like wine trails.
Positives: Very good food and very nice staff.
Negatives: The noise from outside the door come through, the door should be insulated and a tighter fit.

Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable room. We ate in dining room for breakfast, again very friendly staff. Food was good. We would recommend as only hotel to stay at while in Auburn area as we have tried others in the past 6 years. Great location to main roadways in area best hotel in Auburn area.
Positives: Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location to area roadways.
Negatives: Rooms could use a bit of updating. Otherwise would give place a 10.

Auburn is a lovely area and this is one of the best places to stay. However, a maximum security prison is beside the back parking lot of the hotel. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. Hotel is dark and in need of renovation.
Positives: Older, but clean, and friendly staff.
Negatives: Small rooms, and needs updating.

The hotel was very clean and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.
Positives: The room was very clean and updated.
Negatives: The elevator was out of order.

The star rating needs to be reviewed; certainly not a 3 star hotel. There are very few hotel choices in Auburn, so we were stuck. Hotel clerks refused to change us from a smoking room. Not only did the room stink of smoke, so did the sheets and bedding. We felt that shoes were necessary while walking on the carpet and the bath tub would not drain.
Positives: Location for the wedding I went to.
Negatives: They refused to change us from a smoking room.

Nice hotel. I would have enjoyed my stay is my room did not reek from cigarette smoke. The staff would not switch me to a nonsmoking room.
Positives: Microwave in the room - how cool.
Negatives: My room was a smoking room & reeked. They wouldn't allow a change to nonsmoking b/c room was booked on internet.

Over all very pleased with everything else.
Positives: It was close to everything we needed.
Negatives: Food in Sunday brunch was the worst I've had in a long time.

Easy check in and out. The hotel is a bit run down but we were treated well by all employees.
Positives: Central location and restaurant.
Negatives: Quite noisy.

This is nothing better than a 2 star hotel and overpriced at that.
Positives: There is nothing I liked about this hotel.
Negatives: Price and service in the restaurant was awful.

We discovered that the bed in our room had been made but upon examination of the sheets on the bed we learned that the linen had not been changed and in fact there was blood on the sheets. This was the most horrible hotel experience we have ever had!
Positives: Location.
Negatives: The room was dirty.

Overall this was a pleasant experience. Good food, lovely pool and great location for the price. The hotel could use some updating to its decor however.
Positives: I liked the heated pool, the pub in the hotel and the friendly staff.
Negatives: I rented a smoking room and the room stank even for a smoker. The smell would hit you when you opened the door.
