A terrific place to stay. Great for the family. Kitchenette made meals very easy. Staff was very friendly. We liked having the playground for our little one to burn off some energy. Only complaint was that the room smelled very musty. Overall great place!
Positives: Great location. Really feel like you're in the middle of the forest.
Negatives: Room smelled musty.

This place is located on the northern Calif coast in Trinidad. You are surrounded by redwood trees. Short drive to Patricks Point, There we saw seals, beautiful rugged beaches and in a redwood forest. Many places to go for outdoor activities. There is a casino near by that was small but nice. We actually won money there. Our cabin had small wood burning stove and kitchen. If you are interested in quiet relaxing time away from big city stuff I recommend it. Trinidad is a very small coastal town. There are some bigger towns a few miles away. Eureka has m ore restaurants and shopping and it is only a 30 minute or less drive south. We will stay there again.
Positives: The room was a cabin in the woods, It was quaint, but clean, the bed was super comfortable and you smell pine trees.
Negatives: We were there for the weekend and we did not get any maid service.

The cabins in the emerald forest of Trinidad are an excellent place to stay, close to the beautiful rugged coast and the redwoods. The cabin was clean with a kitchenette, but lacks an oven. Make sure to bring extra firewood if staying more than one night since the cabin is heated by a wood stove. The bathroom is spacious with an old-fashioned bath tub on legs. If you are seeking a romantic getaway, the north coast original offers a nice setting.
Positives: I liked the big bath tub with legs in this cozy cabin.
Negatives: The cabin was too close to other cabins.

We stayed in cabin 26, which is newer than some. The interior looks EXACTLY like the photos on the hotel's website for the "forest cabins". The cabin was definitely small, but the bed was comfy and neatly made, and the location near redwoods park was great. The bathroom and "kitchenette" have an interesting layout. The bathroom has a toilet and shower, while the "kitchenette" is the sink and microwave. It's fine for breakfast but don't plan on cooking anything in these little cabins. And I don't think I'd try to fit a third person in, even a child. ALSO, this place is rather no-frills, and they don't make your bed, although they change towels and empty trash daily. Overall a good experience!
Positives: Cute, cozy cabin in a redwood grove.
Negatives: Cramped, and no full maid service.

Small cabin in the woods. Very clean and homey.
Positives: The environment, trees, nature.
Negatives: Bedroom cramped.
