It was a lot nicer than I expected and it was fairly price for the location being so close to Union Square.
Positives: It was in walking distance or a short cab ride to a lot of restaurants, shopping and bars.
Negatives: The bathroom did not have a fan or vent and the tub was small.

Moderate hotel, expensive parking. Old and outdated but clean. Very small bathroom.
Positives: Price on room.
Negatives: Parking at $38 plus tax very pricey for the location.

Very good location and helpful staff, but I wouldn't quite say it makes 3 stars. The lobby and hallways could use some sprucing up. The room was decent and clean but we had a room facing Van Ness (a very busy street), so it was a bit noisy.
Positives: The location was perfect. Very close to many attractions.
Negatives: It was a little run down. The room was fine, but the common area's carpets, paint, etc. were a little dingy.

As described in the Price Line ad..
Positives: Close to my morning appointment.
Negatives: High price on overnite parking for hotel guest.

Great location, right on major bus lines and a cable car line. Great views from upper floors. Lots of small ethnic restaurants nearby, Starbucks right next door. Room was small, but nice, lots of amenities such as flat screen TV, empty refrigerator, coffee pot, iron, etc.
Positives: Availability of public transportation, lots of nearby restaurants and services.
Negatives: Parking was quite expensive.

Great, convenient location. Request a high floor to get away from van ness traffic noise. The recommended eateries and shops from the room literature were really reliable. Great view!
Positives: Its location at end of cable car line and that we could leave our car there after checking out.
Negatives: Parking a bit spendy, and rooms a bit small.

The view of the city and bay from the upper floors is terrific. The California/Van Ness cable car runs from the hotel to the Ferry Terminal. Muni busses that service every part of the city are within 2 blocks. Rooms are nicely appointed with wide screen TVs.
Positives: Location convenient to downtown and the Marina District.
Negatives: Nothing.

Negatives: Expensive breakfast and room service.

Holiday Inns seem to be coming up frequently lately. The chain must be having trouble booking rooms. Not surprising as the chain is old and in need of updating to.
Positives: Great location, right where my meeting was being held.
Negatives: Old and somewhat dingy.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel especially for the great price we got. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room we were given was beautiful and comfortable. However our favorite part was going to sleep with the blinds open looking out on the the lights of the city. Then waking up the next morning to a beautiful daytime view.
Positives: The staff were very nice and the view was even nicer!
Negatives: When we first walked in from the garage the hallway we entered, looked worn and a little dirty.

Stayed 2 days after a conference in San Francisco. Room was very nice, bed was comfortable, smooth sheets, bus was right outside the door. Outdoor pool was open in middle of September. I had a cold and rested in bed, but had a good view out of our 12th floor window.
Positives: View, location, and
Negatives: No tea available with the coffee pot.

The location of this hotel was good but the overall cleanliness of the hotel left a lot wanting. Sanitary surroundings are essential for a relaxed visit.

Negatives: Room was very used.

Great for the price, especially nice for a Holiday Inn. Exceeded expectations. Phone didn't work but didn't bother us much. They gladly obliged a late check out. Room was clean, comfortable and pretty large. No complaints, except for all the tourists in the lobby, it was crazy! Multiple large groups of tourists.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Too many tourists, it was a madhouse in the lobby!

Everything was great. Except you have to pay to park your car. But other than that, we really liked it.
Positives: The hotel was in a great location on th bus line.
Negatives: Would have liked it better if it was closer to Fisherman's worth and Pier 39.

We had stayed here October 08 & had a good experience. We expected the same experience & were sadly disappointed. The parking was awkward. They have recently installed a card access system to get out of the hotel into the parking garage. The access didn't work properly & when we were checking out, they cut off our access to the garage until the parking was paid for making it very hard to load up when checking out. The breakfast buffet was overpriced. The Interlude club/restaurant was awful. In October the meal we had there was delicious, service delightful. This time, the same meal was horrible. The steak had tons of fat on it, they threw popcorn on the table while waiting for our meal. And the waitress was rude. She was extremely short & didn't listen. She was running off before she had taken our complete order. We had to tell her to please wait, we needed to order a meal for our grand daughter also. She acted as though a 16 month old didn't need to eat also.
Positives: Conveniently situated on Van Ness.
Negatives: Parking is way overpriced & the access control on parking entrances is ridiculous & parking spaces are too tight.

Inadequate parking facilities.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Inadequate parking and unprofessional staff.

Parking was expensive in the hotel. There is a public parking lot near the hotel, use it, near the pool lot of people smokes so if you are a non smoker watch out, corridors smelled, walls were too thin could hear what the neighbor was doing, if you can get to the room service they are fast, but they never answer the phone and they don't reply to your voice messages.
Positives: Reception lady was really friendly and was fast. All the staff knew what they were doing.
Negatives: Room service was not good. Operator lady was rude too.

Good place to go.<BR/>I will be back.
Positives: View to the city.
Negatives: Everything was great.

The desk clerks do not know the status of the rooms, because they checked me into a room which, when I arrived, had posted a notice it could not be occupied for maintenance. They then transferred me with a surly security guard to a room that had only one working light. Not a good experience.
Positives: Fairly good location to the Civic Center and courts.
Negatives: Poor service and maintenance.
