The entire Hilton chain is in decline, this example is typical. Overused, under cleaned, understaffed...a drag of a pool, overpriced bad food.

Positives: Close to airport.

Negatives: Dirty pool, dirty, degraded infrastructure and public spaces.Indifferent staff.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 17 Oct 2011 rated 4 out of 10.

Impressive hotel lobby and halls, rooms are rather claustrophobic, with old and cheap feeling furniture, no flat panel TV, expensive Internet, expensive parking, average feeling rooms apart from very comfortable bed.

Positives: Quiet and solid rooms, and great bed.

Negatives: Overcharged parking and Internet, small old TV, old furniture and small room for price and stars.

When booking a 4 star hotel, one would think the room would be clean, comforting, somewhat spacious and overall a pleasure to be in. My room was the exact opposite. My one tiny window lit my small squeaky hard bed which was next to a dusty 2x2 bathroom. For some reason there were public restrooms next to my room, so the noise of that kept me up. I have stayed in cheap motels that were better than this place. WTF?

Positives: The lobby.

Negatives: Room, beds, bathroom, there was one tiny window, dark, muggy, noisy

4 star lobby, but 2 star room. 20 dollars parking and internet fees, too much.

Positives: Good lobby.

Negatives: 2 star room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 14 Oct 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

Not a bad hotel for the money, deserves 3 stars instead of 4 though.

Positives: The bed.

Negatives: Price of parking.

Location is great. Airport shuttle to LAX runs about every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. Hot tub was clean and warm. Bed was very comfortable and pillows were very nice. Would stay there again.

Positives: The staff at the front desk was great! They gave my grand daughter 2 free snacks!

Negatives: There was long hair left on shower wall. We did not notice it until the morning.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 26 Sep 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

Very easy and convenient! A quick shuttle from LAX and you are in your room and ready to relax in order to start fresh in the morning! I will never push myself at the end of a long flight again. I shall make a point of staying at the airport hotel and then beginning my vacation in the morning refreshed and ready to go!

Positives: We awoke refreshed and ready to start our vacation! I recommend getting off the plane and heading straight to the airport Hilton!

Negatives: The room itself was a little bit tired. Very spacious, very comfortable and clean, but the carpet was a bit tired.

Hotel was good. The entire experience was tainted by the transportation to & from hotel. Airport vans for every other area hotel came and went 3 or 4 times with no Hilton van in site. When one finally came by, it was full and left us standing on the curb. Again, on the return trip to airport the next morning, I waited for quite some time for a van. When one finally came, it was overheating and the driver couldn't run the air conditioner and was trying to keep moving so the engine did not destroy itself. I was watching the gauge on his dash and the temp was in the red with a burning smell coming from the engine. None of us thought we were going to make it to our terminals. The hotel staff was very apologetic and offered to upgrade me. The upgraded room was really nothing special. Staff was very apologetic, but I fear their transportation contact is letting them down. Irregardless of the shuttle problems.

<BR/>

Positives: Good Airport location. Helpful and accommodating staff.

Negatives: Transportation to and from airport extremely unreliable and slow.

Walking into this hotel was impressive to say the least. The bellmen, clerks at the desk, everyone was very nice. I was disappointed with the room. I needed a handicapped accessible room for my Mom. The room was very small. For a handicapped accessible room, my Mom had to step into the shower, making things a little difficult. I felt the room hadn't been updated since 1960/70. The hotel staff was extremely nice. The pool and jacuzzi was amazing, perfect temperatures. We also used the shuttle to the airport and they were so very helpful seeing as I was traveling with a handicapped individual. The grandeur of entering the hotel made going into the room a let down.

Positives: Walking into the hotel was extremely impressive.

Negatives: I thought the room was small and old. No refrigerator, no Microwave.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 13 Sep 2011 rated 7 out of 10.

Hotel is large, though the room I had was very small and cramped. However, for one night's stay it wasn't a problem.

Positives: It was very conveniently located for the airport. Staff was very professional and helpful.

Negatives: They charge a lot for parking. They also charge to use the computers.

Hotel is in a good location, but the roo was old..........Old fur, Old T.V. and old towels in the rest room.

Positives: Location

Negatives: Room was old, old T.V. and carpet.

Expect an older noisier room.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: 3 star rooms.

Checking in felt fab; lobby was very nice. parking was an extra I hadn't planned but reasonable. Valet was a thumbs down in general except for a couple of guys who were friendly. Front desk check in was slow and understaffed for the Hilton Brand. Friendly people though. Overall, a wonderful experience. Room was great except lots of windows faced right into my 4th floor window so it was hard to know if people could see in. A note letting me know if the windows were tinted would have been nice.

Positives: The Hilton Brand is predictable and high end. The bed was very comfortable.

Negatives: The view I had was odd. A concrete courtyard and bathrooms and hallways were only two star.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 26 Aug 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

Although the room seemed to have been renovated recently, the finishes were not what I would have expected of a Hilton. The bed was comfortable, but would have been too small if sharing with another person, (this was a two bed room). The location was very close to the airport which was convenient, but I was a little annoyed that the hotel offers airport parking for $12 and yet charges overnight guests $20 per night for parking, almost twice as much.

Positives: Bed was comfortable.

Negatives: The bathroom was super small and cramped.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 26 Aug 2011 rated 1 out of 10.

Staff not that friendly unless you engage them. Can barely sleep because of airplane noise. Hotel charged for refrigerator as opposed to being complimentary.

Positives: The lobby.

Negatives: To much airplane noise. High prices for parking &amp; even refrigerator.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 25 Aug 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

I love the Hilton hotel. But this one is not more than 3 stars and you said that it is more than (3) three stars. Parking is $20 per night + Tax which is $22 per night and is very expensive.

Positives: Good location. The bathroom is very small. The restaurant is very expensive and the Starbucks caf&eacute; is bad.

Negatives: The bathroom is very small. The coffee in Starbucks Caf&eacute; is terrible or any hot drink is cold.

I expected so much, because this hotel is part of the Hilton chain. I was so very disappointed by the rooms!!! We were on the 13th floor, it was horrible!! We were two adults and two children given a king size bed, I don't know who was at fault(the reservation was wrong and no other rooms were available). We purchased two sleeping bags for our boys, the hotel was charging us $20/nightly for a roll away bed!! The room was so old!! And the bath had to be cleaned before we could use it. We would have changed hotels, but the room was prepaid and not refundable!! Our stay was 10 days!! The staff was nice, but unable to fix our accommodations!! It was a horrible 4th of July holiday!

Positives: The dining was excellent! The public areas were beautiful!

Negatives: The rooms were extremely old and in need of renovation !!!!! There was also a hidden car parking charge - $20/daily!!

The hotel is very nice. The hotel staff rate poor in customer satisfaction.

Positives: Workout room.

Negatives: Hotel staff unwilling to assist client.

The clerk gave me a GREAT room on the 12th floor on the corner facing the runway. It was great to be able to watch the planes come/go.

Positives: I didn't get any attitude about Priceline when I checked in.

Negatives: No free WiFI in the lobby. Lame.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 15 Nov 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Excellent value; well presented and run hotel.

Positives: Clean, friendly, excellent value.

Negatives: Prices in the restaurants, especially the Bistro are way too high!

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 10 Nov 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Other than the above, very nice hotel.

Positives: Nice location. Friendly staff.

Negatives: Parking was $33 a night. Valet was very bad, it took them 40 minutes to get my car, almost missed my flight.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 27 Oct 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

This hotel is convenient, well run, clean and comfortable. The few high end amenities are well selected for those with a business purpose, the bed for example. For those looking to be close to the airport this is ideal. Due to airport traffic and noise it is not a place I would care to stay on vacation but great for business.

Positives: Excellent bed! Very comfortable.

Negatives: Shower bath did not drain quickly. Occasional airport noise..

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 20 Oct 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

The front desk staff is as good as any. Madlen especially!

Positives: The staff is outstanding.

Negatives: $30 for Valet parking. SUV can only be Valet parked.

Super clean and spacious with good skin/hair care products.

Positives: Really friendly staffs that give me code for complimentary Internet access

Negatives: Have to pay for parking, $20 per night.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 06 Sep 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

All good except business center expense.

Positives: Excellent bed, and excellent view of LAX flights.

Negatives: Use of business center was laughingly and unusably expensive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 13 Aug 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Exceeded expectations.

Positives: Given an upgrade.

Negatives: Put next to a noisy laundry chute.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 09 Aug 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Beds are little and they charge more for parking to hotel guest than people that are just parking. And its not explained when register. I called front desk for weather and was transfer. When I got the weather it was completely wrong and I had to buy clothes at the Park.

Positives: It was clean and nice.

Negatives: The beds too little.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 30 Jul 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

It was a nice hotel, but did not meet my expectations. A baby cried in the room next to us from 10 pm to 3 am. Beds were small, bathroom facilities in the room were old and outdated, food in hotel was very expensive and not very good. Overall, I would stay there again.

Positives: Great common areas, friendly staff and conveniently located.

Negatives: Room quality not great and the carpets needed to be cleaned.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 19 Jul 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

I would stay here again.

Positives: Close to work, nice food and gym.

Negatives: Tiny room.

Positives: Bright interior and clean.

Negatives: non.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. The room was very nice, but uptill this weekend I'd been spoiled apparently. I had a car and I had to pay 80.00 to park in the Hilton parking garage. In the room I had to pay 12.95 a day or had the option to pay hourly 5.95 for internet service, that's crazy. The worst problem I am from New Orleans and I bring seafood to friends and family and in the room I couldn't heat up or store anything, so I was not happy.

Positives: Close to airport.

Negatives: 20 a day for parking, 12.95 internet, no microwave or refrigerator.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 02 Jul 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Outstanding hotel, great fitness room was like full service gym.

Positives: Room was very comfortable

Negatives: Parking was very crowded and over priced

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 01 Jul 2010 rated 4 out of 10.

I will never stay at this hotel. The parking was horrible.

Positives: Friendly staff.

Negatives: Terrible parking and the hotel charges for Internet service.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 07 Jun 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

The Hilton LAX was a well located and convenient hotel to the coastal beaches and the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). The staff was very helpful and the overall fit and finish of the hotel (including our room) was of high quality. The bed was extremely comfortable and a variety of pillow options were available. My only complaint about this hotel is that you are required to pay a fee if you want to use the internet. Additionally, parking was $20 a day.

Positives: Classy hotel with great amenities.

Negatives: Paying for internet service.

I asked for a non-smoking room, after we got to our hotel room on the 13th floor, the guests next to our room were smoking. I called the front desk and they patched me to security. I had to explain to them 3 times of my asthma and the reasoning why I wanted to me moved to a different location.the hotel staff was unfriendly and unaccommodating. After several tries with the front desk to switch us rooms, they finally did. This was not a pleasant experience and hotel staff should be a little bit more pleasant. i wasn't asking for a free room, JUST wanted to be moved to a different location to avoid having to smell cigarette smoke ALL night long. The hotel lobby does have a restaurant. I ordered the chicken ceasar salad .... the croutons were old and so was the lettuce.....this hotel was no a good experience.kind regards,Antonio

Positives: the hotel was a run of the mill hilton - nothing special and nothing out of the ordinary

Negatives: the loud noisy rooms, the smoking guests on a non-smoking floor.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 13 May 2010 rated 5 out of 10.

Looks like a nice hotel. Parking was very pricey. With the price of room you would think parking would be included. The rooms are nice. There is a roar of the airport 24/7 because you are by the end of the runway. You can tell it was redone, but not super well done. In a neighboring room the alarm went off at 5 and took forever for security to come turn off alarm in room no one was in. Our room the first night had just one water glass. The second day the maids took that one glass. When we called they said they would take care of it. A stop by front desk where we were told they could not help us and a another call later to an annoyed operator (I assume front desk) yielded a glass an hour later. Many staff members had a &quot;whatever&quot; attitude. Not sure if it was because we booked it for a lower rate through another site. Not sure I would stay here again.

Positives: Clean look to hotel.

Negatives: Inability to get a water glass in room after multiple calls.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 03 May 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Overall, the hotel is a very nice hotel. The TV's &amp; furniture are from the early 90's, the carpets from the early 80's and much of the framework needs to be done. Our heater didn't work at all, techs came and couldn't fix. Hotel manager therefore, compensated our valet parking. The staff was great overall.

Positives: The Hilton was a nice hotel. The hotel interior is very open.

Negatives: Rooms and carpets are out-dated. My sliding patio door frame was not sealed to wall, I felt breeze. Room bathrooms are too small. Valet can be inconvenient.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 02 May 2010 rated 1 out of 10.

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and close to malls and other shopping facilities. It's also conveniently close to other highways to access other parts of LA.

Positives: The exercise facility and convenient parking is good.

Negatives: Unfortunately, when I arrived to my room the bathroom hadn't been cleaned nor had the bed linen been changed.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 23 Apr 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

For my Priceline price this was an excellent deal for the quality of the hotel. The hotel itself was nice, although most of my time was spent outside of it.

Positives: Location was great for my needs on this trip.

Negatives: Hands down, the $20/night parking fee.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 09 Apr 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

Great location. Hotel staffs are very friendly. Paid way too much for parking, almost 45 bucks for the two nights I have stayed there. Stay away from using their phones because you are going to be surprised with the bill. I would say this hotel is not worthy of more than 2 and half stars.

Positives: Friendly staff and great location though the hotel needs some renovation

Negatives: Bathrooms were not very clean. Parking fees are way too expensive.

Staff / Service: 8
Location: 9
Cleanliness: 8

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 05 Apr 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

The hotel was typical hilton, good quality aesthetics and amenities. Be prepared to pay extra to park. and be prepared to wait for the valet service every time you do. but that said and done, I would stay here again.

Positives: Quality rooms and room amenities.

Negatives: The parking situation, very expensive to park your car.
