While growing up, I stayed there 2 weeks every summer for 25 years with my family. At that time there were 7 cottages and they were fantastic. 5 of the 7 have been sold but the largest, Pioneer, is still available and just as I remember. Brings back many, many wonderful memories and now I can see it through MY children's eyes.

Positives: Privacy, all furniture and cottage was built by the owners. Real scandinavian craftmanship. Beautiful secluded location right on Lake Michigan, sand beach, wonderful fishing spot. Short drive (15-20 minutes) to Sturgeon Bay. Great place to get away.

Negatives: It is secluded and the cottages do not have central heat or air conditioning. There are space heaters on the walls but they cost a fortune to run so you will want to use the big fireplace which is adequate to heat the cottage (plus you only need that at night). No TV so the family is encouraged to play games, etc. Not luxurious if that's what you are looking for.
