The hotel was in a great location as we had business at Marquette University. It was clean and the staff was very friendly.

Positives: The hotel rooms were quiet and nicely decorated.

Negatives: The bath was very small for 2 people.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 18 Aug 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

The hotel room was very large and had an additional seating area with a sofa. It would have been comfortable for an extended stay. We were also in awe of the pool area of the hotel. It is actually more of an indoor water park, of course on a smaller scale. We did not have any children with us, but wish our son would have been there to enjoy the pool area.

Positives: Our room was very large and included a sofa. It was nice to have another seating option other than the bed.

Negatives: The bathroom was on the small side but was recently renovated and updated.

Old hotel = Really cool lobby (brass screens/stair-rails - huge chandeliers). Old hotel = Smaller rooms. - it's just the way they did it back then.

Positives: Lobby is breathtaking.

Negatives: Bathrooms were crowded.

We had a great stay at the Hilton in downtown Milwaukee. I can count on the Hilton brand name to provide clean and comfortable rooms. Great value for the money!

Positives: The bed was very comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect.

Negatives: The bathroom was a little small.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 20 Jun 2011 rated 7 out of 10.

Very centrally located hotel with clean, comfy rooms. Price was high for what we got. Noisy water pipes and thin walls. You could hear people coming and going and doors slamming. I would definitely stay here again, but only if I would get it for a cheaper price.

Positives: Good location for my needs; good restaurant; clean and roomy.

Negatives: $24 parking charge; thin walls, could hear others;very noisy water pipes when using sink or shower.

The one item is that we were not told about the darkening shades between the decorative and the sheers already pulled. The hotel has huge spot lights that light up a huge portion of the inner rooms. That should have been mentioned at check in.

Positives: Very elegant, top notch porters.

Negatives: Parking was $24/night, street parking indicated okay to park but were ticketed.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 24 May 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

Hotel is situated down town Milwaukee, walking distance to alot of cool things to do.

Positives: Closeness to downtown, lots of things to do.

Negatives: the air conditioner was really noisy

Enjoyed the view. It felt as a great break from reality to relaxation. Refreshing. Awe.

Positives: Clear about their guidelines. Convenience and sense of luxury and fantasy. Spells adventure.

Negatives: On checkout date housekeeping came by 8:AM it seem too early for them to be coming by on a saturday morning.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 18 May 2011 rated 7 out of 10.

Nice, large facility, great swimming pool, etc, right downtown and convenient location.

Positives: Did not use, but saw a fantastic swimming pool/water area that kids would love.

Negatives: Was asked if I was going to park in the parking deck, but never told how much it was- found a $24 bill the next morning.

The Hilton City Center is not a bad place to stay if you can get a reduced rate. I was disappointed that they have no pool and the 'Waterpark' was closed while we were there. We were told we could use a pool at a different hotel over 0.5 mile away for a nominal $5 fee. Overall it wasn't bad with nice rooms, newer remodeled bathrooms and flatscreen TV's. I just don't think I'd give it 3.5 stars that they're rated.

Positives: Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Negatives: Pool / Indoor Waterpark was not open and they charge $24/day for parking!

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 25 Apr 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

This hotel was in a perfect location with two restaurants on site. The rooms were clean and in and out parking convenient.

Positives: Great location and Starbucks connected to hotel.

Negatives: The front desk clerk at check - in was on the phone and the only one there.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 21 Apr 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

We loved staying here. The hotel was old and historic, and we could just imagine what staying here in the 40's was like. Loved, loved it and will be back for sure.

Positives: The hotel room, old world and loved it. Every aspect of the hotel was beautiful and elegant.

Negatives: Price of parking.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 10 Apr 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

Great place as the hotel is located downtown Milwaukee, close to all activities in the area.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Parking across the street cost $15. Too high of a rate for Milwaukee when staying in the hotel.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 07 Apr 2011 rated 9 out of 10.

Great location, excellent service, comfortable room and a great price!

Positives: The location is perfect for getting around Milwaukee on foot!

Negatives: The price of parking overnight is too high!

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 03 Apr 2011 rated 9 out of 10.

The staff is 100% guest friendly.

Positives: The location.

Negatives: Distance from the parking garage to the hotel -- off-site parking is closer.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 01 Dec 2010 rated 1 out of 10.

I would not recommend this hotel, sure its downtown but not worth the money/parking fees.

Positives: Nice bar connected to lobby.

Negatives: Hidden parking fees/ carpet needs replacement.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 18 Nov 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Loved the hotel and would stay there again, unless I could find a hotel in the area with free or cheaper parking. I thought the parking rate was ridiculous. We didn't use the water park, because we had to pay extra for that. The Miller Time Bar downstairs is a lot of fun and the bartenders are very friendly; also very good chicken strips and pizza there.

Positives: It was the perfect location for our needs. The bar was a lot of fun and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Negatives: The beds were small for a couple and we had to pay $24.95 per night to park.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 28 Oct 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

A nice hotel, but the rooms are really packed in, bathroom was tiny. The guide book was dirty, but not on the outside so housekeeping might have missed it. Once again nice hotel but not on par with Hyatt, Marriott of the same star level.

Positives: Nice lobby, view, and food.

Negatives: Bathroom was tiny.

This hotel is one of my favorites within the 100 mile radius of my home. We frequently spend the night in Milwaukee, but always stayed down the street at a different hotel. The only problem is that it costs so much to park overnight at their facility. Doesn't make much sense to get a great deal on the room rate and then pay almost as much to park overnight.

Positives: The extreme cleanliness of the room. You could smell that it had just been cleaned!

Negatives: Great deal on the room rate, but $24 to park stinks!

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 14 Oct 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Milwaukee is kind of gross; lots of garbage on the streets, sort of desolate (but not unsafe) on weekends downtown. But this hotel was fine. A little farther from the river than the few other comparable hotels. They accepted a great price. Extremely friendly staff. Quick check in, even on a busy day with several functions going on.

Positives: Great price, 4 blocks to river, friendly.

Negatives: Bad Internet.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 08 Oct 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

It was a great experience. The weird part is you have to walk in, and then take an elevator to go up to the lobby to register. Other than that, I stayed for a few hours overnight and had no issues.

Positives: Crab tree accessories, lavazaa coffee and central location.

Negatives: Overpriced parking.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 08 Oct 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

The hotel staff was pleasant and the room looked clean, but there was a musty smell in the bathroom and the bathroom needs updating. The bed was comfortable.

Positives: Bedding

Negatives: Bathroom needs updating.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 09 Sep 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

Very disappointing, but maybe not Hilton's fault.

Positives: Great location, good staff.

Negatives: Paying for parking and internet. Even Holiday Inns have free internet now.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 07 Sep 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Beautiful old hotel with all the character you enjoy, but the rooms had all new amenities for a comfortable stay.

Positives: Appreciated the late-night menu at the bar.

Negatives: Parking was expensive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 07 Sep 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Although my room and bathroom were small for a Double, I still enjoyed my stay. The location was great, neighborhood was safe. The restaurants in the lobby were definitely 5 Star!

Positives: Location

Negatives: Small bathroom.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 07 Sep 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Nice room and the front desk staff very nice. Folks helping with luggage outside were rude and unprofessional.

Positives: The rooms were very nice and the hotel was quiet overall.

Negatives: Did not like the bellman's attitude about parking across the street, very unprofessional.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 31 Aug 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

The concierge was excellent. The front desk staff was pretty stiff and unhelpful. Borderline was unfriendly. The pool (water park) was closed when we were there. When I asked about the hours for the water park, the desk staff told me that it varies depending upon occupancy, but is seldom open during the week. The room was large, but we found a couple of dead bugs in the bedding in the closet. Very slow to deliver extra pillows and blankets.

Positives: Great location. Large rooms.

Negatives: Desk staff unhelpful.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 30 Aug 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Great location in downtown Milwaukee. It's a nice hotel though a little outdated. It's close to restaurants, shops and allows for easy access to the Bradley Center and other attractions.

Positives: The location was great.

Negatives: Bathroom was old, and I couldn't get a king size bed, instead got two doubles.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 23 Aug 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Hotel is in a perfect location downtown. You will want to park across the street for half the price of parking in their garage. They didn't provide a phone book for the room, you have to pay to use the waterpark and there is no free pool, we had to use our Garmin to figure out was was around us because the staff was not very knowledgeable. Overall, it is good for a business trip, not so much for vacation.

Positives: Location was perfect.

Negatives: No phone book in room, no free pool, parking was way too expensive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 17 Aug 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

Convenient location, room was very small, we should have asked for an upgrade. No free Internet, nowhere to eat late at night.

Positives: HD programming available on the in room TV.

Negatives: No free WiFi Internet, room was very small.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 16 Aug 2010 rated 1 out of 10.

I was traveling with family and two younger children. Researched and choose the hotel as it had a water park for the kids. At check-in I found the park was only open on weekends.

Positives: Downtown location.

Negatives: Water park open weekends only.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 10 Jul 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Had a great time, spend one night but, the price for the hotel we paid was a bargain. I would recommend if going to downtown Milwaukee.

Positives: Great hotel, great location, and very clean.

Negatives: The parking is too expensive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 09 Jul 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Everyone seemed pretty helpful and available to help guide me for sightseeing. The staff was very familiar and knowledgeable.

Positives: I enjoyed that it was not far from the train station, which was perfect for us.

Negatives: I did not enjoy the food at the Miller Pub, it was served cold. I think that a continental breakfast would be an additive to this hotel.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 06 Jul 2010 rated 5 out of 10.

Although the hotel was good, I feel I was given bad advice on parking by hotel personnel. Parking, I feel was overpriced.

Positives: Very beautiful and historic hotel.

Negatives: It is a little far west to walk conveniently to other downtown attractions or Lake front.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 13 Jun 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Artistic and gorgeous lobby with refreshed hotel rooms make this hotel a great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and parking was a steal!

Positives: Gorgeous lobby, and the pub was open late and served food late.

Negatives: They charged me for bottled water that wasn't taken.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 01 May 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

For staying close to the Milwaukee upscale nightlife, this is a good spot. Also close to the expressways for travellers. Safe, and service was good overall.

Positives: The room was wonderful in almost every respect. Good room service.

Negatives: The attendant at check in was rude. He even said "not a pleasure" after serving our request.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 17 Apr 2010 rated 2 out of 10.

Would not recommend it.

Positives: Leaving.

Negatives: Check in.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 09 Apr 2010 rated 1 out of 10.

The hotel is non-smoking so my wife had to go outside to smoke if she hadn't a 250.00 charge was going to be applied to my account. The television did not work and when I complained they said engineering is on the way but they never showed. A different room helped but holding my money for a non-existent deposit and their refusal to release it was the last straw. The Hilton Hotel chain will not have to worry about giving me a "special" rate again in their life since I will not be returning to stay with them ever.

Positives: Nothing

Negatives: The 21 day hold on my credit card for a deposit.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 02 Apr 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Towers Milwaukee. Very clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly - every staff member greeted me whenever I passed on throughout my stay.

Positives: Clean, upscale, friendly staff.

Negatives: Pillows were too soft!

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 21 Mar 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Good for the price I paid. Parking at hotel is pricey and the bathrooms are small. The hotel didn't offer any vending machines only a $4 bottle of water in the room, we walked to a nearby store to get a bottle of water.

Positives: The location to local attractions was great.

Negatives: Small bathroom, no vending machines available.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 23 Feb 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

I loved the hotel and the staff, not happy with the fact that there really is no pool, if you want to swim, you have to upgrade and pay for water park. OK, if I had known that was what I was getting.

Positives: Very nice,

Negatives: There is no pool included - pay extra for water park.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 19 Feb 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Rooms were nice, bathrooms were small. Parking cost were high and the internet should be included with the room.

Positives: The pub and restaurant was great.

Negatives: Bathrooms small, internet and parking charges high should be included in the room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 01 Feb 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Hotel is very unconventional for a Hyatt. Very old structure which appears to have been recently renovated. The room was quite small and the bathroom was very small. I could tell they tried to do the best they could during the renovation but it was evident that it was just an old building with a new coat of paint.

<BR/>

Positives: Location

Negatives: Parking costs $25.

Our room was extremely hot and the air conditioner did not work. The TV was dark on some channels and at times you had to have the volume on 79 which was the highest and then it would be to loud on the next channel. The hotel website stated that there were on demand movies available but were later told that their new TV system did not support that amenity anymore. There were several items found under chairs in the room from previous guests. Overall, we were not impressed with our stay.

Positives: Bed was comfortable.

Negatives: Unable to get football game on TV, sound and picture was horrible throughout and room was hot.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 19 Jan 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

We've stayed here before and know what to expect. We may decide next time to book a hotel that is a bit more expensive, but with cheaper parking/free parking. We just don't like paying $24 to park for one night as hotel guests.

Positives: We were in a room that had been renovated. It is in a great location. The fitness center is also new and the workout equipment is nice.

Negatives: Parts of the hotel still have that &quot;old&quot; feeling and more renovations would be nice. Parking is very pricey!

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 11 Jan 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

I am overall pleased with our stay. I wish the beds were bigger given that we were a family. Also, the noise from adjacent rooms came in. I also mentioned that the general contracting work done in the bathrooms was a little off.

Positives: Price, convenience in center of town, though, parking price was high.

Negatives: Noisy from rooms next door and beds were a little too small.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 07 Jan 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

$24 to park and the pool has a $12 charge because it is a kids park with water slides. Rooms were a little small but nice. Well worth the Priceline cost.

Positives: Center of town, convenient to many things.

Negatives: Room had candle wax spilled by previous guest and smelled of Paraffin.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 05 Jan 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

I think that the room was great and the service was excellent. I was very satisfied.

Positives: Hilton Milwaukee City Center is a great value for the money in an perfect location downtown.

Negatives: Parking as a separate fee was not ideal, but was not a big deal.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 05 Jan 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

This large historic hotel is in a great location. Our friends booked a room too and also liked it. The Miller Lite bar is happening on the weekends. Comfortable room, clean bathroom.

Positives: Great staff, lots of public space, and historic hotel.

Negatives: High parking fee of $25/day.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 04 Jan 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Great experience. rooms were roomy and comfy, great in room dinning and restaurants, the location was great and the staff was more than friendly

Positives: Everything in on spot.

Negatives: Old hotel so you and hear people.
