Very good hotel for the price. We had some reservations about staying at this hotel. After we found out the reveiws were from 2004 & 2006. WE wee glad we did. The hotel is located near WalMart close to cross roads on the north side of town. Not where mapquest places it. We would recommend this hotel for a stay. The breakfast is above and beyond any self serve can be.

I have stayed numerous times at the American Inn in Hayward WI. They always have an excellent breakfast. This was the first time I was disappointed with the room. We had a Jacuzzi in the room, and we were not provided any extra towels for that. The room had two towels and one bathmat both nights. The bed sheets and pillow cases had several old blood stains. The dusting and washing of walls etc had not been kept up. There is a sauna in the pool area, but each time we have been there it has not been in working condition. I have always been happy in the past with the American Inn in Hayward and was just surprised that things had not been kept up and cleaned since our last stay.
Positives: The American Inn does an "outstanding" job on breakfast.
Negatives: Stained sheets.
