Civil War buffs have a field day near this countryside spot in the woods. Four of the war's most significant historic battles were fought here. Marked paths and roadways, audiovisual aids, and tours fill in the details as you walk or drive along the battlefields. Visit George Washington's boyhood home or tour buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries in Fredericksburg. Kings Dominion amusement and water park, championship golf courses, restaurants, and shopping are within a short drive. So come and check in for some history.
