Great hotel for the area. Many business travelers which meant it stayed pretty quiet.
Positives: The staff was very attentive to any requests.
Negatives: The hotel lobby bar was always closed which meant that I had to eat at different locations.

A lovely looking hotel with luxurious amenities for the business or leisure traveler. However, the beds are not very comfortable, they charge for Internet access ($12/day), and the food is
way overpriced.
Positives: It was a very swanky looking hotel.
Negatives: The double beds in the room were quite uncomfortable; I woke up throughout the night with back pain.

For the area of location, this hotel was convenient with a great staff. I would stay again if in the area.
Positives: The staff was extremely friendly and courteous, ready to assist.
Negatives: It appeared to be an older hotel and the room was a little shabby. The temperature control was irregular, turning on the A/C made uncomfortably cold.

Ground level was under construction, other than that, great facility and superb rooms.
Positives: Ground level was under construction, other than that, great facility and superb rooms.
Negatives: Ground level was under construction, very dusty with sanding particles flying all over.

The staff was great, the rooms were nice everything was clean. Parking was 23$ a night more so I could have stayed somewhere else that offered free parking and breakfast for less than this actually cost. My biggest problem was the difficulty getting what I reserved and paid for. My smoking king went to a non smoking room with two doubles back to a non smoking king. It was really a pain to be on the 8th floor and go out to smoke.
Positives: Nice place, close to airport.
Negatives: Under construction, confusing to get into.

The room size was nice and the bed was nice. The room had two big TV's and an area to sit and eat as well as an area to work. There was an extra charge for everything except the gym. Parking was $23 / day. It was $10 to get a fridge and more to get a microwave. There was a fee for Internet use in the room. My biggest problem was the air- conditioning system did not work properly and it never got fixed. The hallway was freezing my room stayed at 75 degrees. I called 3x to inquire about it. The first night it was too late to have someone come up. The second night I waited an hour for someone and finally went to the gym. I called back when I got to my room and they said they would send him back, but he never came. The room got a bit cooler but not much.
Positives: The size of the room and the bed were nice.
Negatives: Crappy air-conditioning, poor service to help fix crappy air-conditioner, smelly old room.

I was disappointed with the renovations in progress as it was noisy very early in the morning - 6:30am woke up to loud banging- hammering etc. Also the pool was too crowded - had to wait for people to leave before the life guard would let us enter.
Positives: Concierge gave us the opportunity to keep car in garage until later in the day so took the metro to sightsee.
Negatives: This hotel was in process of renovation and we were unable to use the rooftop restaurant. Also the pool was too crowded and had to wait to use it.

Negatives: Carpet looks pretty nasty.

I would probably stay at this hotel again for a price similar to what I paid because it's a good location for DC. However, I'm better aware of the need to plan my local travel. It's a long walk (10-15 mins) to the closest Metro station and restaurants, so if you're tired, I hope you like the hotel food.
Positives: Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Negatives: Hotel shuttle service to the metro (subway) was frequently late.

Very comfortable beds. Short walk to Metro line. e.g. shuttle service to Regan National Airport..
Positives: Comfortable
Negatives: High price.

Very happy, I have used Priceline many times for the DC area and anything in crystal city is a winner.
Positives: Very accessible to DC.
Negatives: Room internet is not included, need to pay extra.

Overall, the hotel was perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Very clean and tidy and definitely exceeded my expectations. My friends and I were very pleased with the amount of space that the hotel provided.

I would be hesitant to stay here again. The room was very poorly lit, hard to see even in the bathroom. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was in need of repair - chipped tiles, corroded hardware, etc. Carpets needed cleaning. The public areas and restaurant were quite nice and the shuttle service to the metro/airport was on-time. Complimentary WiFi was appreciated. Overall I really expected more from a Doubletree.
Positives: The hotel restaurant was excellent and the public areas were lovely. Staff was efficient and cordial.
Negatives: Room was poorly lit - dingy feeling. Bathroom was in poor condition and needed repairs.

The location was fine for taking public transportation into Washington D.C. The staff was helpful and even offered to extend parking time in the lot to do extra sight seeing. The room was less that we had expected for the rating it was given. Although it seemed clean the room was just dingy and needed upgrading particularly the bathroom.
Positives: Pretty upstairs restaurant, nice view, helpful staff in reference to travel in Washington D.C. and surrounding areas.
Negatives: Room was disappointing, pool closed.

Gave us a terrible room as far from the elevators as possible. Room was old, dirty and generally worn out. Water running in the bathroom from somewhere that we could never find. Very poor hotel.
Positives: Convenient location.
Negatives: Quality of room and hotel - poor condition.

The lobby and bar area were nice enough, but forecourt area and main entrance beneath was dark and very unwelcoming. My room - 11th floor, South tower, was in need of major attention. Very dusty along the edge of the carpet and textured wallpaper straight out of the 1970's. The bathroom decor was severely mismatched, the vanity was heavily scratched, mirror and faucet had some rust on them, and the fan was noisy. Towels were fine but sheets and drapery had a variety of small stains on them. There's a 1 inch + gap beneath the entry door, which does a great job of allowing all the hallway and elevator noise to enter the room. It was impossible to have the heat on at night because it was so loud, the TV was an old fashioned small-tube type and WiFi was a ridiculous $15/day throughout. The food was so-so, and $6.50 beers a bit steep. Pentagon City mall is walking distance with lots of dining choices. The hotel staff was generally friendly and helpful but that didn't make up for the 2-star room.
Positives: Pleasant staff, convenient location.
Negatives: Room not 3.5-star level,

Negatives: Shuttle was not always on time.

I choose this hotel because of it's proximity to the Metro station into DC; as well as the courtesy shuttle available. From the instant I arrived the hotel staff was friendly and courteous! Both the lower and upper lobbies were well appointed and comfortable! I was thoroughly impressed with the guest room! The room was more like a suite. Walking into the room you entered into a living room type area with a sofa, TV and desk amenities. A small hallway led to the second area that included another TV and an ultra comfy bed. After a day long jaunt around DC the living quarters were a welcome site! Relaxing on the sofa was a nice feature to unwind on before going to bed. The only thing that I would have liked different was the prices of both the food in the restaurant and the items at the guest store. However, this might not be a hotel feature, but an area feature as all the stores in the area were expensive for food and basic items! Lesson learned that be sure to pack toiletries and if you must buy stuff of that nature as well soda and snacks there is a Rite Aid pharmacy in the Crystal city shops which is just 1 stop away on the Metro Blue Line.
Positives: The layout of the room was excellent!
Negatives: The restaurants had limited and expensive menus. Gift store very expensive!

The staff lost our reservations, then after finding them, attempted to check us out of the room after one night of a two night stay, the staff was extremely rude, the restaurant/bar (the revolving rooftop) was horrible. Nothing good except location, and that wasn't great - the shuttle was good when it was one time, useless when it wasn't.
Positives: Convenience to the Metro.
Negatives: Awful staff and awful restaurants.

The hotel was clean and all staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. All questions were answered quickly. The woman that worked in the consier service went out of her way to ensure that we were able to see all the sights. My husband is in a wheelchair that the bus service couldn't accommodate, so she found a driver who was willing to take us, as needed, to the places we wished to see.
Positives: All staff was exceptionally friendly and hellpful. Large rooms and cleanliness.
Negatives: Prices and limited dining choices.

Negatives: No free Internet.

The hotel location was very convenient, staff was friendly, some spots were missed by the cleaning staff in the room, such as a chewed gum stuck on the closet shelf. This gum was there prior to our arrival, we tried to remove it without success. The comfortable beds were a highlight of our trip.
Positives: Location, indoor pool, shuttle service to and from airport and metro.
Negatives: Pool hours should be increased due to the limited capacity of swimmers.

Excellent except for parking fee. Priceline should let people know if there will be an additional charge for parking or other things before being surprised upon check in. Surprise parking fees have been common with the many times we have used Priceline. In addition, The Palm resort hotel in Kissimee, that we used in March added a surprise $ 7.00 resort fee after we arrived.
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: $21.00 parking fee.

The hotel is close to the pentagon. It's very close to the pentagon city mall and also convenient if heading to DC.
Positives: Very convenient location, great revolving restaurant.
Negatives: Boastful check-in staff.

The room was comfortable. Staff was ghetto and not accommodating. I needed advice on a place to take my friends and they said they couldn't help. The two towers were too confusing coming from the parking lot and up to the room. I spent more time walking around to get from point A to point B. Valet lied to me, said they only offered valet parking when there is self parking (come to find out). This hotel was not relaxing. It was a hassle for everything. Even our keys didn't work the first go round to the hotel room.
Positives: The convenience of the location. A taxi to the city was cheap.
Negatives: Staff, two towers, parking, Sky dome Restaurant, price too high for quality of room and staff!

Great location if doing business at Pentagon or North Crystal City. Great Pentagon City restaurants within convenient distance.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Bathroom fixtures were old and cracked.

The doubletree was convenient to the airport and to the metro rail system which allowed me to travel all over the DC metro area. The room was a little small but very neat and clean. The bed was fantastic. The only complaint was the parking. If someone wanted to visit and have dinner in the hotel parking was between $9 per half hour up to $25. Also there were very few places to park on the street near the hotel. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and I loved the cookies at check-in.
Positives: The proximity to the metro and the shuttle service were great.
Negatives: Parking was outrageous for hourly visitors.
