Good location hotel for access to downtown restaurants and events; however, rooms are extremely small without WiFi available in rooms.
Positives: Good location downtown.
Negatives: Old accommodations and extremely small rooms.

The hotel staff was friendly, but at 2am we were awoken by a loud buzzing noise that lasted for 10-15 minutes. I finally called the front desk and while I was on the phone with them it suddenly stopped and we never received an explanation for what it was. The bed was not particularly comfortable and the room was quite small.
Positives: Great location.
Negatives: Noisy room, very small room and bed was not particularly comfortable.

The hotel was structurally stunning. I could tell the moment I arrived in the lobby that I would enjoy my stay. The rooms were clean, but the beds seemed slightly smaller than other hotels. That wasn't a big problem, though. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional! A buffet that had something for everyone. I never had to ask for maid service. When I returned to my room, beds were made and new towels were added. Very impressed.
Positives: The hotel was beautiful.
Negatives: The beds were kind of small.

The hotel was very beautiful. I loved the live band and the great atmosphere. However I was a little disappointed with the lack of up to date electronics. I stayed at the Holiday Inn for less and they had a flat screen television and a microwave.
Positives: I loved the drapes and bed linens.
Negatives: The television was very old and there was no microwave, even the Holiday Inn had a flat screen.

For being a Hilton hotel, I thought the room would be much fancier. It was very bland. An average if you will. The hotel was very beautiful. It would be nice if the rooms matched the grandness of the hotel.
Positives: The staff was very friendly.
Negatives: The bedding in the

I think the hotel has potential, but it needs work. The room was tiny. The cleaning staff woke me up. The front desk staff and valet was great.
Positives: The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.
Negatives: Being woken up by the cleaning staff at 7am to see if there was anyone in the room.

The hotel has complimentary parking and valet. I was not made aware of this until after my stay. I was very pleased though at the customer service from the hotel staff.
Positives: Nice location downtown, staff was very helpful with questions.
Negatives: No visible sign directing to parking - had to pay to park.

This hotel is a beautiful. The lobby, bar and restaurant areas are gorgeous, with wood paneling, painted ceilings, you just have to see it to believe it! The rooms have been recently remodeled, they are small, but the hotel is old! Everything is very clean and very well appointed. We have stayed here many times and look forward to returning.
Positives: Beautiful hotel and lobby and bar areas.
Negatives: The room was small.

Because the hotel is downtown, there is no where to park except the garage ($15) or valet ($22). The hotel is a very beautiful, historic building. We had problems with our room. When I tried to take a shower, the water coming from the faucet was brown. The first staff member I spoke with was short and rude but everyone else was nice and accommodating. We were given another room in which to shower and were compensated with free Sunday brunch ($60 value for both of us). Food was great but we would have never paid $30 each for the buffet. Overall, it was a good experience. I would rate the hotel/staff/location 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Positives: Very nice, historic hotel.
Negatives: Rooms are very small.

This room had the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept on in a hotel.
Positives: Historic style and charm with all of the modern amenities.
Negatives: I was a little disappointed on the actual size of the room.

Parking was too expensive and the pool closed too early. The room was kind of small and they wouldn't even include a refrigerator and internet without charging. 4 star hotels charge for everything, I'll stick to 3 stars, they give you everything you need without all the extra charges.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Pool closed too early, 8pm.

Location was great. Price was ok, but watch out nothing in the room comes free. On top of the price of the room it was $3.50 for a small water!
Positives: Location.
Negatives: All ice makers broken, they charge for everything.

Overall, was very pleased. I do not see the need to charge $20 for parking, though. Was also very disappointed in the food. It is a downtown hotel, but the breakfast buffet was not any nicer than what you would find in an express hotel, but cost $12 a person. For the price of the room, a continental breakfast should be complimentary.
Positives: Very elegant, clean and centrally located with beautiful views.
Negatives: Parking and meals were too expensive. Paid $50 for a breakfast.

The room was so small being 6'1" there was almost not enough room for me on the floor at the end of the double size bed.
Positives: City location was nice, parking was close.
Negatives: We called and told them that we had 3 people and room was so small, asked for blankets, none, 1 slept on the floor.

The hotel was very clean and had a nice fitness room, pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna which was very nice.
Positives: Convenient and enjoyed the fitness room and amenities.
Negatives: Parking was 21.00 for one night stay.

Love the hotel. Very nice and comfy. Although terrible experience with the rude bartender. I purchased 2 drinks on our way up to the room upon check-in and when I left him a 75 cent tip. He said "Well. I expected more than that". We didn't even sit down. All I done was ordered 2 drinks to go. Very rude! Also, he's lucky he got that. The room service people were nice. Even though the restaurant had closed they brought us a goody bag.
Positives: Ted beds were the most comfortable beds ever.
Negatives: The Bartender in the lounge was very rude. He got mad over his tip and voiced it.

The four stars of this hotel were all in the lobby. The closet was bigger than the bathroom. The pool was disgusting and housed in the basement. While it is a historical building and very beautiful for events, I would not recommend staying there for fun.
Positives: The lobby was beautiful.
Negatives: The pool was in the basement.

For a big hotel, it's lovely. But I don't like 29 storey hotels. I find them impersonal and, with all the tipping one has to do, expensive. I won't choose a 4 star again.
Positives: Great location.
Negatives: Too big, valet parking pricey, too complicated.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 20 Aug 2008 rated 7 out of 10.
Hotel was ok except for very small size of room and bathroom. There was nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom and the towels were stored in the shower!
Positives: Convenient location to ball park and fountain square.
Negatives: The room was way too small; bathroom had no place for storage.
