I would not stay here again.
Positives: Checking out.
Negatives: Rooms air conditioner could not get temp below 78. Noisy and room had a disturbing odor.

The property has been updated. It was very nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly. And we enjoyed the decor. If you are looking for a Hampton, don't stay here. This is a really nice old style clean place.
Positives: It was old, but remodeled and very quaint. Reminded you of one of the old motels of yesteryear.
Negatives: Nothing.

It was 85 degrees and the pool had not water. But the service when going to breakfast was great and the room very clean, I was impressed and that for me is the most important thing so it was a plus to be decorated with such good taste.
Positives: The room was decorated beautifully.
Negatives: The bathtub was clogged.

After winning the bid on this "2 1/2 star" hotel, I read the reviews and was very upset to find out that I was going to be staying in an unsafe, old, motel with bugs. Definitely not a 2 1/2 star, more like a 1 star. Decided not to stay after checking it out and lost my money for the night! As a women traveling alone I absolutely did not feel safe at this hotel and didn't want to be woken by the train every 30 min. as the other reviews had warned.
Positives: Nothing to say here!
Negatives: Old, unsafe, dingy!

It was nice and would probably stay there again.
Positives: It was clean, convenient to restaurant and freeway. The people were very friendly.
Negatives: The restaurant was nice, but had better breakfasts in other places.

Worth the cost, Nice open courtyard, pet friendly.
Positives: Quiet-open.
Negatives: Railroad tracks across street.

The desk attendant was polite and efficient at checking us in despite the late hour. We slept well on the 2nd floor- did not see an elevator though. The breakfast which is included with the hotel stay is top notch- 5 choices, coffee,
and
the Huevos Rancheros were amazing.
Positives: I loved the Huevos Rancheros for breakfast- which was included! Makes me a fan of the hotel forever!
Negatives: The bed was not terribly comfortable; it was large, but not my preference in firmness.

Not a desirable location, next to railroad tracks. Train woke us at 1:30 am. Rough sheets with pilling mattress. Old motel with a few cosmetic improvements, but not enough for my comfort. Free very limited breakfast does not include juice.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Everything.

Large rooms with great beds, comfortable furniture, and pleasant SW decor. The toilet was loose and too small, but the bathroom was large and the shower was too. The pool looked great, sorry I didn't have time to try it out. The cooked-to-order breakfast was a nice perk.
Positives: The rooms were very large and nicely furnished.
Negatives: The toilet was too small and wobbly.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Very conveniently located for a funeral I had to attend. The room was nicely decorated in SW decor and the hotel clerks were very friendly at check-in and out. The full breakfast provided was delicious.
Positives: Very clean and nicely decorated room.
Negatives: The train going by in the night.

Not my favorite place to stay. But, not the worst either. My favorite is the Hilton Garden Inn.
Positives: The restaurant style breakfast was nice.
Negatives: Unable to check-in before 3pm. We travel 1100 miles and was told we had to wait until 3pm to check-in.

A good quality, relatively well-maintained hotel of the old school. Free breakfast is not bad, you get a choice of five menu items. Or, you can order off the menu.
Positives: An old southwestern feel.
Negatives: Poor lighting if you need to do any work.

Was more of a motel than hotel, did not seem to meet standards.
Positives: Morning complimentary breakfast was great! Roses growing were beautiful.
Negatives: Room had funky smell, some evidence of poor maintenance, open sewer pipes behind building.

We were not real happy with our stay. The staff, both the bar and the front desk, seemed unconcerned about our complaints. The French dip I ordered in the bar had to be the worst I have ever eaten. I complained to the bartender and he really did not care, no money was taken off the bill nor was an alternative dish offered. We told the desk clerk about the moldy smell in the room and he did not care.
Positives: Rooms would be quaint if they didn't smell moldy.
Negatives: The food in the bar and the stink in the room.

Older motel on a busy highway and close to railway tracks, so expect some noise. Breakfast free at restaurant on location, but very limited choices.
Positives: Okay location.
Negatives: Extra charge for 3rd person in room.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The made-to-order breakfast was great (Try the Huevos Rancheros, either red or green). The rooms were clean and comfortable if a little outdated.
Positives: Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. In-room WiFi internet.
Negatives: Location was not that great. Railroad Tracks across the street. Bar next door.

Good for truck drivers but not for business travelers.
Positives: Nothing really. A 2.5 star hotel must better than this. This is a bit lower than 2.
Negatives: Dirty.

This is an old motor lodge. It has been updated somewhat, but it certainly is not a 2 1/2 star as described.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Everything.

It is a 2 star to 2 and a half star.
Positives: Was close to the university.
Negatives: Bathrooms were poor and heat units so-so.

When I called to confirm they asked me how many were in the room and when I told them we had kids they wanted to charge me extra for everyone passed 2 adults.
Positives: Free breakfast!
Negatives: Bathroom floor was all sticky.

Comfortable and clean.
Positives: Spacious room, free WiFi and free breakfast.
Negatives: Hard beds.

Watched Monday night football at 7 pm on the patio at the restaurant/bar area comfortable and nice to be outside. Other nights they have entertainment which also sounded good. If not eating there you have to drive. rooms have a microwave and fridge parked right in from of our room.
Positives: The breakfast was great, good hot food, friendly personnel.
Negatives: The workmanship (tiling) was crude, dust in unused areas.

Flip a coin. Will you have to change rooms because of plumbing issues or lack of air conditioning? Both have happened to me at this old style motor hotel. Bugs have been present in every room I've been in. Not great company. Keep driving if this is your only choice in Las Cruces.
Positives: Old style motor hotel that highlights New Mexico 40 years ago in style.
Negatives: Lack of lighting in parking area. Bugs in rooms.

The room is kept clean but the building is old and pluming is not working right. Water dripping from the facet in the bath tub when it is shut off, water does not drain from the tub properly and toilet does not flush effectively.
Positives: Complimentary breakfast.
Negatives: The building is old and the bathroom is in bad shape.

Charming Spanish motif, very spacious rooms. Older but well-maintained. Free wi-fi with high bandwidth. You must get up early for breakfast, though, because they stop serving at 8:45. The pool is large, but not very deep, and collects leaves. Our room had two queens and seemed enormous for the price.
Positives: Nicely-mailtained, attractive decor-- had a nice personality.
Negatives: Breakfast ends way too soon; we were turned away at 8:55.

I was not usually a complainer. Give me a good bed, a quiet room with water, heat and electric and I was okay. I did not have a good experience here. I was checked into a room that had not been cleaned since the last tenant. Dirty towels, dirty sheets, used soap, etc. I complained to the front desk. The second day was not much better. Still used soap, no new soap, same sheets. They did make the bed and give new towels. The room smelled old. I thought if the room had been cleaned, I would have been okay with it. It still would have smelled old, but that kind of fit with the southwest decor. The room was large and roomy. Upon checkout, I was asked to pay extra for my pet. I mentioned that I didn't think I should have to pay extra since my room was not cleaned well, and they just took my money anyhow. So much for service.
Positives: The room decor was nice, authentic New Mexican.
Negatives: The room had not been cleaned from the previous traveler. Took 2 days for it to get completely cleaned.
