Hotel met every expectation except for the restaurant, which only disappointed a few in the group.

Positives: I liked people greeting you at the door and their willingness to help.

Negatives: I did not like the long long corridor to get to our room.

Wonderful experience. The whole family loved it!

Positives: Beautiful and comfortable.

Negatives: Very long walk to our rooms.

Nice golf course, the room was a room. Nothing special. They charge for everything. $12.00 Internet access. $5.00 for water. 18% resort fee. 18% tip. Staff was nice. But at what cost. I was afraid to flush the toilet.

Positives: The staff. The golf course.

Negatives: The cost and the extra costs, and the extra cost on top of that.

The staff was amazingly helpful. The Indian theme was perfect for New Mexico (though not a personal favorite). The one complaint was that the cleaning staff came into our room after a quiet knock and a 30 second delay. At 8:30 in the morning, we were completely unprepared for the company!

Positives: The staff was amazingly helpful.

Negatives: The room was....eh....just a room.

It is certainly a beautiful resort facility. The staff was very friendly. It is a very relaxing place to be.

Positives: Beautiful setting; gives you the feeling of being away from it all; very attractive overall.

Negatives: The unexpected $17.00 resort fee. Had no idea that this fee was going to be charged.

Staff is very friendly, rooms are nicely appointed. Only complaint was the long walk from the lobby to my room.

Positives: Twin Warriors Golf Club was excellent.

Negatives: Did not like how far a walk it was from the lobby to my room.

My best friend and I wanted to take a trip. Decided on the Tamaya. Read a lot of great reviews, so booked it. Was very impressed! The staff was unbelievably helpful and so friendly. Very knowledgeable of all the surrounding towns and attractions. Location of the resort is just gorgeous! Stayed 5 days. Did the hot air balloon ride. Definitely worth it. And I am so afraid of heights, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Spa treatments were incredible! Did the private horseback riding. The view while riding was breathtaking! Some things seemed a bit pricey, but it's a resort. So that's to be expected. Not a complaint from me tho. Best vacation I've had in years! Well worth the money we spent. I'd go back for sure and have recommended it to lots of people.

Positives: Everything was GREAT! Incredible, knowledgeable staff!

Negatives: Nothing negative.

Overall the hotel was very nice. This was the 2nd time staying at the Tamaya resort. The room was very clean and comfortable. We did not use the pool & hot tub or golf course. The staff was friendly and the check-in was quick. The hotel is very spread out so it is a long distance from the car to the room.

Positives: Room was spacious & very clean.

Negatives: Very long distance from parking to room.

The hotel is beautiful. It is very quiet and the lay-out is such that you feel like you are the only guest. The restaurant (Corn Maiden) was world class with excellent service. I rated the lobby cleanliness a 7 due to the many stains on the carpets in the common areas, which was surprising given how clean the rooms were.

Positives: The Corn Maiden Restaurant - EXCELLENT.

Negatives: Pets should not be allowed in hotels of this caliber.

This is a perfect resort hotel for a get away to enjoy excellent facilities for a family or couple. We use it for a day of swimming and hiking in a beautiful setting. This resort is one with the environment.

Positives: The ambiance, The overall calm, the pool. We often visit with grandchildren.

Negatives: Can't think of one thing.

Tamaya is outstanding in every way! It is a top quality, service oriented resort that has very little pretense, making our vacation relaxing and comfortable. It would be excellent for families, couples on a honeymoon, girls weekends, weddings and events of any kind. The two things that most impressed me was that (1) the Resort made an effort to appeal to all five senses with their cedar/lavender sachets in all rooms, Native American music in all public areas, and the cedar incense burning in the lobby and (2) the service was outstanding and friendly. The bar has an impressive selection of tequilas and for novelty they will sell a group of 4 people a 'giraffe' of beer. Really fun! The food at the cafe was really good and I would highly recommend the fish tacos and the Huevos Rancheros for breakfast.

Positives: Everything about this resort is wonderful. The service is outstanding and not pretentious. Excellent in every way!

Negatives: The beverage cart girl at Twin Warriors Golf Course was very unfriendly and closed at 1pm.

Great place for relaxation and caters to women for the spa. Restaurant is fine but menu is somewhat limited. Bar and public areas very attractive. Should probably plan on trips off-site if one stays more than two days and is not attending a meeting.

Positives: Public area with working fireplaces and nice view outside.

Negatives: No inside pool except for jacuzzi.

Third visit to Tamaya. Wonderful as usual! The perfect place for a romantic and relaxing get-away!

Positives: A great get-away hotel and location!

Negatives: Can't think of anything. Their spa is too expensive for the common person to afford.

Marvelous escape from the bustling world located on a unique property that must be seen to be believed.

Positives: Fantastic views of the mountains and the Rio Grande valley.

Negatives: The resort fee, since I tend to tip anyway thus a double expense.

The atmosphere at the resort was so wonderful that we cancelled our plans to tour the surrounding area. The staff was helpful & knowledgable. Planned activities were unique to the culture of the area. We hope to return and stay longer. Relaxation was complete.

Positives: Ambience & atmosphere seemed to make time slow down. We were so relaxed after 48 hours, it felt like we'd been there for days.

Negatives: Limited choice of dining facilities.

Overall a nice resort. I was not aware that there was an additional $14.00 day charge for the use of spa facilities automatically added to the bill. It may be worth the charge, but we did not use the facilities so there was a cost and no benefit.

Positives: Staff was very friendly.

Negatives: Room next to exit, interrupted sleep.

It's well of the beaten path; and then some. That's actually what makes it all work. It allows you to enjoy the beautiful Rio Grande Bosque (boss-Kay). No traffic noise, no pan-handlers, no outside vendors; just hotel guests and staff. You get the feeling that your traveling back in time along the long entrance to the facility. Your reward is a beautiful resort built in the adobe pueblo style. It has everything you would expect for the price and then some. They even have bicycles to use for the entire family. The only negative is that it may not be convenient for someone who has to attend a function anywhere outside the facility. Bernalillo is a solid 20 minutes on the freeway to downtown Albuquerque during non-rush hour times. If you don't mind that; You'll love the Tamaya.

Positives: The facility is well maintained. It seemed that there was as much staff as there were guests.

Negatives: Its close only to the Santa Ana Star Casino. It's 5 minutes just to the exit on to HWY 550.

We went for a short overnight trip to the Hyatt Tamaya as an anniversary get away. The resort is nestled near the Bosque with beautiful views of the Sangre de Cristos. Our room was simple but elegant. Also, I think this was the most peaceful room I have ever stayed in. I never heard another guest talking, shower running, housekeeping rolling by, toilet was flushing nor any other noise I find disturbing in other hotels. We strolled around the property, which was again, simple but elegant. The pools (I think 3 of them) looked inviting -- but we never found the time to try them out. Although I have no complaints with the lodging at the Tamaya, the dining is not up to the same standard. I asked for window side table. However, when we arrived, of course a window side table was not available. The food was good, but not great. For the price level, I expected more. Also, I just couldn't shake the feeling that I was dining in a chain restaurant. I don't know if it was the tacky plastic name tags and ill fitting uniforms of the wait staff, or their robotic, scripted service, but I never felt I was truly in a fine dining atmosphere. All in all, I would stay at the Tamaya again but go elsewhere for dining.

Positives: Truly a resort hotel, beautiful location with plenty of activities on site.

Negatives: The restaurant and lounge are forgettable.
