Very good price for a nice room with a patio that had a great location just north of the strip. The staff was very nice too.

Positives: I like the Balcony/patio our room had for such an affordable price.

Negatives: No spa/jacuzzi.

We stayed there for 2 nights, friendly staff and there was 9ft deep swimming pool. Couldn't expect more two queen beds, non-smoking!

Positives: Very good rate, swimming pool and friendly staff.

Negatives: Hotel is located about one mile from downtown.

Warning people do not stay at this hotel. It was the worst experience I ever had. First we had a hard time getting there from the hotel by the airport shuttle. They basically did not want to take us there. I soon found out why. Every single taxi that we took to the hotel had no idea where it was located, not even with the address. I guess they were sending us a message right! And to get out of the hotel was the worst we tried getting a taxi to go there several times and was not successful but once. Even the front desk guy will suggest, no calling a taxi to this location he would encourage us to walk and look for one. Several times we had to walk miles just to take a cab. Wow I know that I went there for business but good lord it was a horrible stay. I soon as I walk into the room I got this refrigerator smell in the whole room. It kind of smell like mold. It was a late arrival and I did not want to discourage my wife so we stayed. Yes stay for three days, it was the dirties most itchy 3 days of my life. As soon as you walk into the room we started to itch. When laying down in bed the itch would progress immensely and in the morning we would wake up with rash every where in our bodies. The light in the bathroom stopped working several times. The AC would turn off by itself and we will have to manually restart it. The TV also had its moments it worked 15 minutes and not work for 15 minutes. I think they share their cable bill with all the guest. The Cuban Cafe attached to it had the worst customer service, by first 20 minutes there waiting on 2 coffees and 2 tostadas toasted Cuban bread and butter. I witness a group walked out for no services and the waiter did not even attempted to save the sale. I got charged $17 dollars for the worst coffee and tostada ever. This is not Cuban this a robbery. Taking a late night walk to search for a taxi, yes search for a taxi because they would not go to this hotel we almost got bugged by fellow residents of the near by neighborhood. What save me and my wife was my street wit which I obtained growing up in Washington heights in New York if you know what I mean. I basically had to let them know that I can become one of them quick. So the friendly neighbors backed off and saluted me for my brave actions. Oh and funny enough we witness the strangest wedding we have ever seen. Let just say I rather got to the court house and sign papers. There is more to tell on this story but lets just say I will be here for a while. Please don't waste your time they will have to pay me to go there again I have been to Howard Johnson in Orlando Florida and have been the totally opposite. If you are still thinking about it. Think about your safety and your families safety this hotel is not in the best part of town. Oh I forgot to mention that there was a young lady at the front desk that help us out at the end after check out. Our flight changed last minute and she stored our luggage for a few hours why we walked around town. Thanks to her.

Positives: Help, after check out from young lady at the front desk.

Negatives: Everything.

The housekeeping was good when you could catch the maid. We stayed three nights when the bed/room was cleaned on the third morning. The ceiling fan motor was noisey and the room had been well used; i.e. broken chairs and the room was located right on the street thus traffic noise. Was not a good experience.

Positives: The pool and restaurant.

Negatives: Housekeeping;

The hotel met my expectation based on star rating and price. It was conveniently located and check in and out was quick and painless.

Positives: Convenient location.

Negatives: I was on the second floor and it was strangely lumpy?

I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this hotel. We arrived late, and had no other options, otherwise we would have been quick to find alternative lodging! We needed a pet friendly hotel, and our options were limited.

Positives: Absolutely nothing. It was disgusting!

Negatives: I do not consider this the Las Vegas Strip even if it is barely classified so. Even worse, it was across from a stripper bar. Never again!

The hotel was pretty much what I expected out of the cheapest place to stay in Vegas. We did have a couple of problems, but they were solved pretty quickly and courteously. When we arrived, we were given a room key to a room that was still dirty. The maid was a couple of doors down, so we asked her to clean it up and she did right away. The bed and pillows were not particularly comfortable, so you might want to bring your own pillows. The last problem was that the walls are pretty thin, so we could hear the domestic spat above us. We called a couple of times to the front desk about it and they sent someone right away each time. The location is great, though. It's on Las Vegas Blvd, just north of the strip, right after you see a sign welcoming you to Downtown. It also had a decent Cuban restaurant attached.

Positives: The service was quick and friendly.

Negatives: Our room was dirty when we arrived and the beds were uncomfortable.

It could have been better, I have been to smaller hotels than this with better accommodations, the TV did not work, the lights kept going out. I would never recommend the Howard Johnson to anyone. I was totally disgusted with that hotel.

Positives: The staff was very friendly and helpful, in giving directions to various casinos.

Negatives: The Bed was hard and the pillows if you really want to call it a pillow was flat, the patio was filthy, and they put us way in the back of the hotel.

It had bed bugs. Restaurant was good but service was horrible. Saw the server twice to take the order and give us the check. The cook even brought us food. The front deskman was a dick. Guy selling crack on the corner.

Nothing seemed to work right at the hotel, everything felt really creepy and dirty. I did not feel comfortable walking around bare foot and the shower did not work to well. The staff was rude and offered little assistance when asked. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and neither should you.

Positives: Not one thing. The worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

Negatives: Dirty, Loud, Falling Apart, Shower had no hot water, TV did not work, Dirty. Needs a facelift bad.

Although my expectations were low, it was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Empty liquor bottles and used washcloths tucked away were what welcomed us to our beyond humble abode. The sliding glass door was not on track, and there were multiple holes in the textiles. There was no remote or alarm clock in the room (we were made aware it was because of theft, and none were available to us per request either). Beds were made, but the condition of the rest of the room made us question the cleanliness of them. I felt like I was on the business end of a CSI case, not what Vegas should be known for. The front desk staff was cordial, but seemed surprised by our constructive criticism upon check out. They did, however, offer 50% off our next stay with them. You couldn't pay me to stay there again. We are economy travelers with 2 small children and simply wanted a safe, clean, quiet stop over on our road trip.

Positives: Not applicable.

Negatives: Cleanliness was very poor, condition of hotel was disgusting.

It's a good place to stay if you want a central location between the strip and Downtown but you can stay at a much nicer hotel/casino up on the strip for about 30/40 more a night.

Positives: It was a convenient location, set right between the strip and Downtown. 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi to either location.

Negatives: Not in the nicest part of the strip.

I would never recommend this "hotel" to anyone. The hotel shuttle service from the Las Vegas airport does not even take you there. Upon arriving at the place I saw why. Greeting us on our arrival was a transient begging out front. As we were late arrivals, there was no selection of rooms, so we got what they had. The room was small and had a musty smell to it. There was a large hole in the wall in a corner of the room. The wiring for the heat/ac was exposed and hanging from the unit. Thin walls allowed you to hear all conversations in next rooms. Screaming in the hallways commenced at 3 am and calls to the front desk brought no response. Howard Johnsons corporate should be appalled at the condition of this "flea bag motel" that bears its name!

Positives: The best part about this hotel was LEAVING it!

Negatives: Holes in wall, exposed electrical, stains on carpeting.
