My daughter got married at the Flamingo in the Gazebo garden. The staff was friendly. all the rooms were clean. Our group booked four go-suites. The pool was lovely but must go early to secure prime spots and lounge chairs. The spa was fantastic. We did the package that included a facial, scrub and massage. It was so relaxing. My daughter was so very beautiful on her special day and the Flamingo atmosphere was lovely.

Positives: My suite was very large and clean; great to fit all the girls for when my daughter dressed for the wedding.

Negatives: It felt like a two mile walk from the elevator to the room..

The hotel is OK for the location, it's a great place, but not for the price I paid. I expected more for my dollar. I booked a smoking room and when I checked in, the room was not available. I ended up w/ a non smoking room, which was fine, but the room itself does not offer many amenities. I had asked for a mini fridge, which apparently was only in the go rooms. The bathroom light flickered for the most part and the rooms didn't seem that clean. Again for the amount I paid, I expected more.

Positives: Location to other hotels is a plus!

Negatives: I expected more from the hotel and the room for the price I paid. Not please at all.

This hotel is lucky it has a good location because it is disgusting.. Rooms should be more like $50 a night, not $250..

Positives: The pool was pretty nice, and the staff were nice.

Negatives: Filthy rooms, noise, small, dirty, stains everywhere, hair in the sink and shower.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 20 Sep 2011 rated 4 out of 10.

The room was dirty to put it nicely. The carpet was stained completely. I called the front desk and the lady on the phone offered to change me to another room that was available, with a view to the strip, maybe thinking that the view would compensate for the condition. We were assigned to room 1. I was very disappointed to see the condition of the rooms at the legendary Flamingo Las Vegas. I could not take off my shoes, because the carpet was so dirty. When I stay at a hotel, whatever the price range, I like to relax and feel comfortable. This was not the case. I was going to call the front desk again to ask for a clean room, anywhere in the hotel, even if I had to pay for it. I didn't do it for one reason only...my son had paid for this reservation and I didn't want to make him feel like bad. Before the trip, friends had told me that even though the Flamingo was not a new hotel it was well maintained and someone even mentioned that it had been remodeled. I will have to correct them. The property looks run down. The elevator next to Valet Parking was indescribable. I didn't expect this from your establishment. I do not say this with an intention to offend or to put down your hotel, but I don't think I could ever recommend it to anyone.

Positives: Buffet-food.

Negatives: Condition of my room, dirty carpets.

Room was OK for what was paid. Too many people there, and standing in line to enter the pool for 40 minutes first thing in the morning was ridiculous. Restaurant lines also long. Spent most of our time at all hotels/casinos.

Positives: Hotel staff was very friendly.

Negatives: Busy and rushed feeling. Too many people to get into pool area.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 13 Sep 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

Good hotel, need upgrading of the parking and the carpets of the rooms need to be revamped, it is an old hotel.

Positives: Convenient location, easy parking, and reasonable price.

Negatives: The room I stayed in, as I was expecting it to be non smoking and it was not, then the janitor came and sprayed it.

Our experience at this hotel was unbelieving horrible. First and second room that were given to us were filthy. There was hair on the toilet seat. Customer service was horrible. Hotel manager made us feel as if it was our fault. Will never go back!!

Positives: The pool and buffet.

Negatives: Customer service and cleanliness if the hotel.

Very pleased overall. For the price I would definitely stay again.

Positives: Location on the strip...near many things.

Negatives: Cannot really think of anything I disliked about it.

Would stay at Flamingo again but would pay for an upgraded room.

Positives: Affordable and great location.

Negatives: Bathroom disgusting.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 30 Apr 2011 rated 5 out of 10.

Cool pool, but needs room updating and more cleanliness. The Flamingo Staff needs to take more pride in where they work. If they had such pride , customers drink glasses would not be left in hallways, or elevators for several days. dust and dirt around common area baseboards

Positives: Location was easy to access all parts of the strip.

Negatives: The room was dirty, dust under the beds as well candy left from previous users. A vacuum can reach under the bed, it was months of build up

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 04 Apr 2011 rated 6 out of 10.

Old rooms. Old tubs. Clean but smoky.

Positives: Friendly staff.

Negatives: Smoky smell of non smoking room.

The common spaces (lobby, restrooms, casino, etc.) we're clean and beautiful! However, our room was a different story. We had a king size bed that had 3 thin, lumpy, tiny pillows. Blankets, Forget it! There was a thin thermal blanket sandwiched between two top sheets (one below and one on top) that were supposed to suffice. I believe they put the white sheet over the thermal blanket as a cheap way to look "contemporary" in pictures! In the bathroom the caulking was loose and moldy on the bath tub and the shower pressure was very weak at any time of the day. It was not what I had expected for the price we paid. I guess where they get you is the location (on the strip), the pool (which we did not get to enjoy b/c of the cool weather), and the entertainment within the casino. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room then it's better off!

Positives: The lobby and common spaces were clean. The casino was clean,

Negatives: Room was mediocre for what we paid. Bathroom was disgusting - moldy, loose caulking in tub. Shower pressure very low.

Rooms were big no fuss the online/fast check in was great! Privacy was great. Decor slightly outdated. Overall good experience.

Positives: Privacy.

Negatives: Unable to late check out.

Looked at a brick wall, men was going up and down a ladder for 5 days and could only change rooms if I paid extra. Had to pay $25.00 for an extension cord for my breathing machine. Waited for 2 hours to get a light bulb in the bathroom and the room was dirty.

Positives: The food was good, but expensive.

Negatives: Forced to pay to borrow an extension cord for my breathing machine, light out in the bathroom, room was dirty, brick wall for a view, could only change rooms if paid extra

For the price we paid I would totally recommend this hotel. It was clean and rith in the middle of the strip. They had dancers at night which was a little attractive!

Positives: The flamingos and location.

Negatives: The bed only had a sheet and the room was kind of cold didn't have a comforter.

This hotel was the worst experience travelling I have ever had. The waitstaff at the buffet was so rude I felt as if I was on a hidden camera show. The "Burger Joint" restaurant charges $14 per burger for meat that tastes like school cafeteria meat. Johnny Rockets is going to cost you $50 easily for a family of 4....and it's food court food.

Positives: The best thing about this hotel is it's close proximity to the rest of the strip.

Negatives: The lack of customer service was astonishing! I have never met staff more rude than those of the Flamingo.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 08 Dec 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

The only positive thing I can say is that the front desk service was excellent. Not only no view, but view of outside wall and painter on ladder. Bad experience at Margarita ville as well.

Positives: Very friendly staff at check-in.

Negatives: Room old and no view.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 09 Nov 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

The hotel itself is located nicely on the Strip. However, it needs to have some remodeling done.

Positives: It is conveniently located for what I needed.

Negatives: It needs to be refurbished.

It is a terrific hotel/casino on the strip, with friendly staff. There was a bit of a line to check in, which was really no problem, but the front desk assistant was very apologetic. Everything was very well explained by both her, and the Rewards Service desk when we went to sign up for cards.

Positives: For the price, it can't be beat!

Negatives: Some of the rooms are very far from the elevators.

I travelled with a friend to Las Vegas. We upgraded to a GO room at the Flamingo. The room was nice and very clean, but it was a smoking room. We are non-smokers and the smell of cigarettes was very noticeable. But the rest of our experiences at the hotel were great, and we had a wonderful view from the 26th floor. The pool is awesome!

Positives: Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Negatives: A smoking room was the only option for our upgrade.

Ask about room noise before checking in -- room might be subject to music from poolside during day, or sounds from Pure nightclub at night.

Positives: Location

Negatives: 40 min. wait in line to check in; 20 mi. to check out.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 24 Apr 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Mid strip excitement at a reasonable price and very decent accommodations

Positives: Location - Pool -

Negatives: Price too high for weekdays, carpet needs replacement in a some areas.

This place is old and not that safe.

Positives: Can't think of anything.

Negatives: Got my wallet stolen, everywhere drunks, music too loud at the pool.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 12 Apr 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Great location. Center of strip. The room could have done with some upgrading though, shower didn't work well, bedding had some holes and room did not have fridge or microwave. Other than that, hotel was wonderful and has nice restaurants and shops on site. Would stay here again!

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: Bedding had holes in it and room didn't have fridge or microwave.

The staff was quick to upgrade us to a deluxe room when our first room was unsatisfactory. Our view from the upgraded room was incredible, and the room itself was one of the most fun I have ever stayed in--ultra modern with vintage details.

Positives: We were upgraded to an incredibly fun, detailed and modern room.

Negatives: The room first given to us was dirty, stained and unmade.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 08 Apr 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Lovely pool - the Flamingo needs a complete face lift.

Positives: The swimming pool is great.

Negatives: Prices for meals and beverages at the pool were very high.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 23 Mar 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Enjoyed the pool area, however, no refrigerator in room. Haven't stayed at a hotel without fridges before.

Positives: Pool.

Negatives: Upgrade offered misleading.

I enjoyed staying at the Flamingo. It was very nice. Our room was nice except for the soiled carpet.

Positives: I loved the large vanity in the bathroom and the bed was comfortable.

Negatives: The carpet in the room has some real bad spots that needed to be cleaned.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 26 Feb 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

The flamingo was great. I had a little issue with the bed as it wasn't so comfortable for me. But my daughter thought it was perfectly fine.

Positives: Everything was available to us.

Negatives: Charged $200 to my cc and held the funds.

The location was great. The services in the hotel were very convenient and although the hotel is in desperate need of Reno's, we ended up using a lot of the hotels amenities - including lounges, restaurants, shows. The buffet is fantastic. We spent little time in the room, so we overlooked it's condition. This is a comfortable, well equipped, perfectly located hotel. For the price, I would stay there again.

Positives: The location and amenities in the hotel were great.

Negatives: The part we stayed in was run down, whole place needs a makeover.

This hotel was beautiful it is my new favorite. Had some trouble with check in but they made up for it. House keeping did wake us up every morning about 3 times starting at 8 am though.

Positives: The flamingo is so nice

Negatives: The house keeping rocked periodically from 8 am on and woke us up.

Excellent views of strip depending on what side of hotel you are on. older hotel but pretty clean, only thing is it is real stuffy because rooms lack any ventilation. you pretty much have to open the front door every once in awhile. Maid staff was excellent and rooms always kept clean and refilled.

Positives: I loved the view of the Vegas strip, we were directly across ceasers palace.

Negatives: I did not like that all the bathrooms did not have ventilation or fans, very stuffy.

Guest services manager not very helpful and if something wrong, good luck on getting it resolved. Not a very friendly staff. They have no care for business travelers try to get work done and a quite space request.

Positives: Food was good.

Negatives: Guest service, security.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 14 Jan 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

One of the rooms we were booked into had food crumbs on the floor when we got there, that were not cleaned up after the first night. Other than that, the stay was a good one. The beds were comfortable, which was a big plus. If you are looking for a decent place to rest your head in between adventures, this is a good choice.

Positives: Location was outstanding.

Negatives: House keeping wasn't the best.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 01 Jan 2010 rated 5 out of 10.

This hotel is dated but cheap. Beware of the check in line! It took us an hour.

Positives: They upgraded our room.

Negatives: The wait at the check in desk.
