We upgraded for additional $15 for the room that was remodeled. The room was really nice. The thing I did not like the Wi-Fi charges. Saying all that the stay was pleasant.
Positives: Nice room, friendly stuff, and free valet parking.
Negatives: $11 for the Wi-Fi per laptop is not reasonable.

Good value for the dollar, but in an obscure part of the strip.
Positives: The price was right, but I felt the resort fee and the Internet fee were not reasonable.
Negatives: The location is a bit out of the way from where all the action is.

Not the best location but definitely the best view of the strip. Really nice rooms - extremely comfy beds. Kind of smells like smoke in the casino unfortunately. It's a very busy place and sort of confined and not very sprawling.
Positives: Very comfortable beds and great views.
Negatives: Smelled like smoke in the casino and I had requested an ice bucket twice and didn't get one.

The hotel was clean, the room was exactly what the pictures online had shown, most of the staff were very helpful and courteous, only 1 was not.
You receive exactly what you pay for, a nice cheap priced hotel, but very good quality!
Positives: Staff, clean & a lot to offer.
Negatives: Location, taxis are expensive!
Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 03 Sep 2011 rated 3 out of 10.
The staff was very friendly, but when
I got up to my room there was a hole in the wall, the ceiling was coming apart and there was cigarette burns in the sheets. I did have a smoking room, but I'm sorry I don't want burn holes in the sheets I'm going to sleep in.
Positives: Being able to see the whole Strip from the top of the hotel.
Negatives: Cleanliness.

Wasn't at all what i expected. The bathrooms were tiny, there wasn't much space in the room. The swimming pool was about a 6 minute walk away. I love Vegas but i will never stay at the Stratosphere again!!
Positives: The staff was very nice and accommodating and beds were comfortable.
Negatives: Sardine can sized bathrooms with the sink outside the bathroom.

If you are trying to save a buck you'll do ok here. There is a daily resort fee ($7.50 when we stayed) on top of the room costs.
Positives: Staff was friendly.
Negatives: Way too many kids and cigarette smoke - even in areas marked no smoking.

Not only its very far from the strip, too many hidden charges.
Positives: Nice bed.
Negatives: Too many hidden charges.

Overall a good hotel. I was planning a quick trip and needed a place to rest for the evening but didn't want to chance a seedy dive hotel. This fit the bill nicely. Decent room, good amenities. Use the valet-the self park garage is quite a hike to the front desk and the north tower elevators. The observation tower view is fantastic. I could see bringing the kids along next time. Decent value for a last minute buy.
Positives: The availability was good for a last minute getaway. Good amenities
Negatives: Distance from the parking garage to the tower where my room was.

The casino was nice, staff was friendly, but definitely not close to anything within walking distance. Should not be listed as being on the strip.
Positives: The tower was really fun and the sky bar was enjoyable.
Negatives: The rooms were small, and the upgraded suite was what I expected as a standard.

Everything was ok, but a little pricey for the location.
Positives: Nice.
Negatives: Noisy.

Overall it was a good experience at the hotel except the fact my room shared a wall with the elevator wichita sounded like a roller coaster was going thru my room every 2 min and when I asked to move was told no other rooms available.
Positives: Good casino.
Negatives: Room right next to elevator, sounded like a rollercoaster was in my room.

I will not stay there again. I have stayed in Super 8 motels that were in better shape. I even upgraded. I was very disappointed and will not stay there again or recommend it.
Positives: The casino.

I will not stay at this hotel again. The lobby was filled with smoke and the staff is not friendly. Very disappointed with my overall experience. I had dinner at one of the restaurants and it was over priced and under seasoned. When I spend $169.00 on a meal I expect to be satisfied.
Positives: The room was fairly clean, but the housekeepers seemed extremely annoyed, when i asked for an extra towel.
Negatives: The valet told me that

Check-in was a breeze. The staff was great and the room was very nice.
Positives: The staff was great!

For my first visit to Las Vegas I liked the location because it was at the end of the strip, it allowed me to see more of Vegas and return back to same place. The food at the restaurants was excellent. The front desk was not helpful, they did not attend to or correct my needs. Valet was great and fast. The bell hop was wonderful.
Positives: The restaurants.
Negatives: Did not fix the things I needed in the room that didn't work.

The Stratosphere Casino is a nice Hotel. The staff was very friendly and even if I had the slightest problem, it was dealt with immediately. The parking was free, which was great, the hotel fees are the lowest I could find and it's easy to go anywhere from there.
Positives: Cleanliness and hospitality, helpful and well knowledged staff.
Negatives: N/A

Upon check-in there was a discrepancy with the hotel rate, different than what I paid on Priceline.com so they wanted more money. Then they put me in a room with missing drawer in the dresser. The elevators smell and the hallways smell bad, like odor of an old restaurant. The bathroom sink does not drain well, probably stuffed with hair and dental floss.
Positives: Did not like anything about it at all. Even the Tower - the railings were run down, staff are sloppy.
Negatives: It was dirty, stinky and the food in the restaurants were horrible.
Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 30 Dec 2010 rated 8 out of 10.
Is a 8/10 if you get the select room (upgraded room). The staff was also very rude and they want to charge for everything.
Positives: Upgraded room.
Negatives: Staff was very rude.

Overall a good stay, but disappointed the swimming pools were closed. Also disappointed that they were offering 2 for the price of one ticket (2 for $40) for the hotel show, but they would not offer one for $20 since I was travelling alone.
Positives: Modern decoration in hallways and rooms.
Negatives: Both swimming pools were closed, very disappointed!

For three stars I expected a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, better TV.
Positives: Buffet.
Negatives: No view from window. The room was across from elevators noisy all night.

The hotel was nice. Restaurants were good and fairly priced. Gaming tables were lower stakes and abundant. Rooms were bigger and nicer than we were expecting. For what I paid I would say it was a great value and above my expectations.
Positives: Good value on food, gambling and rooms.
Negatives: Far from everything. Either a cab ride or long walk.

For the money, I was pleased. It wasn't a great hotel, but the room was clean, and there was a good deal. The part of the strip isn't great - definitely didn't want to wander around outside.
Positives: Room's bathroom looked recently redone, room was clean.
Negatives: Room's bathroom wasn't particularly nice, room was a bit outdated.
Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 21 Oct 2010 rated 9 out of 10.
Very friendly staff. Very clean.
Positives: I really liked the cleanliness of the lobby rest rooms and the hotel itself was very clean.
Negatives: I liked everything except where it was located. The area looked really poor and we were scared to walk around the corner or down the street.

The description of the room I originally booked was not at all as described. The deluxe room with Las Vegas Strip view was very drab & uncomfortable, and the view was horrible- the room faced the base of the tower and most of the view was of the rooftop; you could rarely see a small portion of the Strip. Very disappointing, and I had to spend extra $ to upgrade for the sake of my girlfriend.
Positives: The diner Roxy's was awesome.
Negatives: The room.

In general, I would say it's good.
Positives: It does meet my expectation, and we all happy while we stay.
Negatives: Off the Casino Strip, it's not bad with driving. It's quite far distance to get to the center of sight seeing in LAS.

In the room price included is the ride to the tower, which you otherwise pay 15 Dollars per person. We would recommend this hotel to everybody. Cool seeing from the pool, how these crazy guys jump from the tower!

This hotel has lovely beds in their rooms with down comforters and down pillows. The room was clean and the staff were nice. I was disappointed when we went to breakfast to find that their 24 hour restaurant was closed for renovations and we had to walk down the strip for food at a late hour due to the remainder restaurants were closes at midnight. When it came to breakfast we walked down the strip to another hotel because the wait at the one restaurant was long due to the one that was closed.
Positives: It was nice enough hotel for the price of the rooms.
Negatives: Their 24 hour restaurant was closed for renovation and we had to travel down the strip for breakfast and if we wanted food at a late hour.

Was very welcoming, had comfortable rooms and there was always something to do without ever leaving the hotel.
Positives: Every evening when we returned there was alway a clean room to return to. Creating a nice way to relax and rest.
Negatives: The additional charges I paid at the time of check in. My traveling parter was not changed and we both bought out room at the same time.

Rooms were clean and
homey. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
Positives: Beds very comfortable. Easy to follow directions for amenities, etc.
Negatives: Bathroom too small! Tubs rather high to step into.

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and updated appearance of the room; however, I was awakened in the middle of the night on 4 out of 7 seven nights by loud noises from halls and the connecting room next to mine. Poor sound insulation. Also, limited restaurants and poor accessibility to the remainder of the strip make this a poor choice for the leisure traveler, I think. They do have a nice health club, however, and there was no cost to use it. Don't know why they charge a resort fee on some reservations and not on others, though.
Positives: Room was clean and updated, comfy bed and pillows.
Negatives: Too much noise from halls and adjoining room.

Arrived at Stratosphere in Vegas at 1:00 in the morning, was on a plane for over 6 hours. All I wanted was to check in and get a good night's sleep in order to enjoy my first trip ever to Las Vegas. My two brothers and I stood in check-in line for over 30 minutes only to find out they did not have any rooms available even though they had confirmed my reservations. They made us wait for one hour before they told us how they were going to fix the situation. They ended up sending us to the Golden Nugget (very nice place) downtown. When we arrived at the Nugget we were helped immediately and had a room within 5 minutes. It was now 3:30 AM, not the start of what was to be a relaxing, exciting stay in Vegas. Even though I was very disgusted with the situation at the Strat when we arrived. I was willing to forgive and forget as we spent the rest of our stay in our originally planned hotel. As the week progressed I was happy with the restaurants (especially Roxy's and Felinni's). Both places were excellent with great service. I was however very disappointed with the casino's staff in particular the attendants at the craps tables. Many were rude and arrogant. I expected so much more. The good news is that all the other casinos that I visited had a much friendlier atmosphere and provided an enjoyable gambling environment. I will never go back to Vegas it was a one time trip for me, and if you are planning a trip for yourself I would not recommend the Strat except for the restaurants. I most certainly would recommend the Golden Nugget or somewhere on the strip.
Positives: Good restaurants, nice pool, service in restaurants was very good.
Negatives: Terrible check in procedure, some rude, unfriendly, and arrogant casino staff.
