Overall it was very good hotel just need to improve the convenient of how far you will park your car to your room.
Positives: The actual location itself/and most of all very reasonable rate.
Negatives: A long walk and alot of up and down before you can get to your room.

Main tower is nice but was unpleasantly surprised to be put in a building across the street.
Positives: Bathroom is very well done.
Negatives: We were not in the main tower but to the side.

Positives: Nothing much, it was average room and stay.
Negatives: Rooms we stayed in at the courtyard were trashy looking, very out dated and cold.

Staff was very friendly and professional. I did like the bathrooms in my room. No bath tub just showers but nice.
Positives: Staff was very friendly.
Negatives: Didn't feel very safe. Stayed in rooms behind casino. Man approached me in early morning outside but then security rode by so felt better.

I have stayed in the hotel twice now and I should have learned the first time about the hidden charges. You go on line and get a room for a price and then you have additional charges when you check in up and above the price on price line. And from what I learned it is true for all the station casinos in Las Vegas.
Positives: The room they gave me was awful and they upgraded to a better room.
Negatives: To many hidden charges. Even in the dining room.

A very reasonable hotel. Buffet was very good and very affordable. Restaurant wait staff was excellent. Porter and Valet services very helpful. I look forward to staying again sometime.
Positives: Price & quality of room, food, wait staff & live music was very good. Cocktails were weak.
Negatives: it seemed that some parts of the casino did not circulate fresh air to flush out stale tobacco smoke.

The Oyster Bar was excellent! Check-in was easy. Had great service with all employees.
Positives: Location was great. In the middle between new and old strip.
Negatives: The surrounding neighborhoods.

Rooms are OK. Casino is not so nice, and the general staff have no idea about hospitality or guest relations. However, the managers were very helpful and dealt with issues. The hotel is knows as the Hillbilly Palace at Hobo Station. I get it.
Positives: The manager took care of issues, but general staff has no authority or idea. Recommend only deal with hotel manager.
Negatives: No coffee maker in room, and charge for use of cork screw. Heater on in casino with lots of smoke more than most casinos. Poor ventilation.

This hotel is convenient for my family. It is located just off of the freeway. The staff is always friendly upon check-in and check-out can be done via the TV in the room. Access to the car is easy which is important to us since we drive from CA to visit and have a lot to bring into the room. The restaurants are kid friendly in the hotel. They have a Subway which serves pizza, a buffet, and a restaurant with an extensive menu called the Grand Cafe. We have also had a great meal at the Pasta Palace. In the past we have used the pool areas and they are nice. They always have towels available. There a two pool areas with spas at each. Since the price is so reasonable we always look to stay at this hotel.
Positives: Clean, friendly staff, easy access off freeway, easy to get to room.
Negatives: Pillows were lumpy, got new ones which were better.

We were disappointed with the condition of our room. As soon as you got in the room oil or grease spots on the floor were clearly visible right in the middle of the carpet. All hotel & casino personnel were great. I lived in Las Vegas for over 40 years, I worked in 2 resorts & retired from The major Police agency in the county,The staff at the "Palace Station" takes a back seat to no one.
Positives: All hotel staff were great, beyond expectations, from casino personnel to front desk & bell hop service!
Negatives: Smokey casino make us very uncomfortable, my wife has asthma.

Beware that the hotel charges an additional $ 16.98 per day for services such as internet, shuttle to down town, business fax, or workout room use.
Positives: Very convenient location. Clean, quiet and attractive room.
Negatives: Undisclosed charges for internet, business facilities.

The room was clean. Bed was not very comfortable. Hotel charges and hidden service charge of 16.79 to all guests.
Positives: Room was clean.
Negatives: Hidden fees and no coffee or glassware in room.

When I stay overnight in Vegas, I usually stay at this place. It is affordable, yet close and they offer good and friendly service.
Positives: Free shuttle service.
Negatives: Room design for heater/cooler - blew up into curtains.

For what we were in Vegas for it was OK, we didn't intend to spend much time in our room. For resting it was fine, not as clean as we are used to but it was better than some we have stayed in.
Positives: The lobby was beautiful and staff was friendly.
Negatives: Had a hard time finding our room and getting to the lobby.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 07 Oct 2009 rated 7 out of 10.
As long as you don't pay very much for the room, this was fine. But accommodations at other 3-star Vegas hotels have been much better. I recommend Circus Circus, Stratosphere and The Orleans.
Positives: Clean and accessible. Fine enough.
Negatives: Getting to the room was a labyrinth of corridors and stairs.

Looked like a good price. Wrong! Do not stay here if you can afford better. If I could rate the hotel less than a one, I would. No elevator in our building (across the alley), filthy, filthy carpets, dreary and small, smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a motel! No tube just a tiny stand up shower right next to the toilet.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Small filthy rooms! Dreary.

Hotel was okay, Vegas was boring.
Positives: Nothing really.
Negatives: No English speaking people.

I did like the $16.00 charge because in the room it said it was free. Because the price was more and the room were bad (my view of my window was a wall).
Positives: It was off the strip.
Negatives: They charge me $16.00 a day for thing I do not need up front.

We liked the fact that we did not have to go through the gambling area to get to our room.
Positives: The location to the UNLV.
Negatives: It was somewhat confusing how to exit the parking area.

I arrived at the hotel and had to spend a few minutes searching for parking which was not bad. The check in process was easy. The lobby was very clean and had music playing. I was given a map of the area and directed to my room. I left the hotel lobby and walked across the parking lot to the courtyard. I was slightly discouraged to discover there were no stairs. Once I arrived at my room it was very warm and smelled awful. I immediately determined the source of the smell as the bathroom, so I closed the door and turned the air conditioner on high. I also discovered a few different stains on my sheets.
Positives: Freebies at check-in.
Negatives: Noxious smell from the bathroom (sewage backup).

Average. Good for one - night. Would not recommend for extended stay.
Positives: Close to freeway.
Negatives: Small rooms.

The courtyard rooms are horrible, very old bedspreads and TVs, much updating needs to be done to these rooms. Whoever stays should definitely choose tower they are nice. The desk clerk was very unprofessional as he did not greet me when I approached the desk, he was yawning as he checked me in, and didn't even say thank you, enjoy your stay or nothing! Maybe he could use a bit more training. The only thing I really liked was the workers at the buffet and their food.
Positives: The attendant that gives out the preferred card was very nice and the food and staff at the buffet.
Negatives: The rooms at the courtyard need a lot of updating, very ugly rooms.

This place is a wonderful Vegas spot. To those of you who don't like it, don't go there. The locals hang out here and really have been very welcoming to us. We have been there 4 times, and will continue to go. Great food, and fun gambling with low minimums. Just an all around great time.
Positives: Friendly staff, location, price, positive atmosphere, and low chaos.
Negatives: Nothing.

Very good price to stay in a Vegas. Though the restroom in room is not well design.
Positives: Great pool and cheap buffet though not too much to choose.
Negatives: Old school casino hotel half mile from the Las Vegas Bvld.

I wasn't exactly pleased with the type of room I got. I'm sure they have better rooms, but when I checked in, I was offered crap. I had to take it because it was 1am in the morning.
Positives: Not much, maybe the proximity to the strip.
Negatives: The rooms I stayed in were like a Motel 6 with a Casino attached.

Do not rate this hotel room at 2.5 stars.
Positives: Nothing because of the old cheap smelly noisy room, the rest of the hotel is ok.
Negatives: Old, run down, cheap, smelly, hot, and noisy.

We stayed here before and will stay again. Their front desk help is extremely helpful and friendly.
Positives: They have bingo and subway.
Negatives: No shuttle bus to other palace stations.

This hotel wasn't clean. The hallways had a bad smell (almost like urine) and the place was in dire need of updating.
Positives: Ease of parking.
Negatives: The place didn't seem clean at all. Tried to charge a $5.40 daily resort fee.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 22 Jan 2008 rated 2 out of 10.
The first night the TV was not working. So they placed me into another room of the same type, and the toilet was blocked up. I am real disappointed.
Positives: Location and Buffet were good.
Negatives: The rooms did not cater to young kids.
