Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with our first experience with Priceline. When we attempted to check into the Plaza, which was the hotel that the reservation was made, we were told that it was closed, and then had to haul all of our luggage across the street to the Vegas Club. The hotel was very dirty, mold in the tub, wall paper peeling off every where, broken elevator, and no ice machines. Either the ice machines were broken or non existent. I also requested a roll away bed because they didn't have two queens which is fine but after calling to the front desk 3 times it never showed up. I have sleep apnea and my boyfriend and I have to sleep in separate beds, so this was a huge inconvenience. The hotel hallways had stains all over the carpets and wall paper peeling off every where. The shampoo and lotion bottles in the bathroom appeared to have already been used. The nicest amenity in the hotel room was the beer bottle opener on the sink. Gross. It would have been nice to know before hand that the Plaza was closed, but I really doubt that it was much nicer than the Vegas Club. I can't believe that these hotels have a rating of 2+ stars. The local Super 8 in our town is much nicer than our stay at the Vegas Club. We checked out of the hotel 2 days early because we had such a horrible experience.

Positives: There was nothing we liked about the hotel.

Negatives: It was dirty, not the hotel we had a reservation for, there were no ice machines, and we never got a roll away bed that we were promised three times.

Second time at this hotel. It is great for an affordable hotel.

Positives: Cheap and convenient.

Negatives: No hair dryer in room, uncomfortable pillows.

The somewhat baroque decor certainly dated in comparison to the spare aesthetics of the last decade or two, but it's also an interesting trip back in time. Nice enough, definitely more than just functional lodging, and convenient for travelers passing through.

Positives: An utter bargain, plus an interesting glimpse back in time on the strip.

Negatives: Still smells just a bit like cigarette smoke, internet access isn't free.

Old hotel, casino - not too clean. North tower had 6 elevators only two worked. Some people got stuck in elevator for 25 minutes. Room had lots of dust on furniture. Tub did not drain from shower and cold faucet handle leaked badly.

Positives: Room was

Negatives: Tub did not drain - faucet leaked - dirty, elevators were

The staff was not helpful at all. We had to go to the management twice for issues that should have been solved by the general staff. The bathtub was clogged and the floor did not appear to be vacuumed. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We had wanted to stay another day but we couldn't handle another night on the mattress.

Positives: The management.

Negatives: The staff.

The Plaza Hotel need serious renovations. The hotel is old and everything inside the room was very old. In 2008 Vegas hotels should be more updated!

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: The hotel was old and dirty. The rooms need serious remodeling and the guests in the hotel looked very scary. A lot of gang related guests!

It is old, but very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Just to go gambling in Vegas, I would go to this hotel again, but not with family on vacation.

Positives: It was very clean, the staff was great!

Negatives: The hotel is old and the furniture and carpet were never changed.

For the average Las Vegas traveler, the Plaza is a great place to stay. It is well placed at the mouth of Fremont Street (where partying all night long is mandatory). The majority of the hotel's common areas (excluding the scary elevators coming in from the parking garage) were well kept, and nicely decorated. We ate at the 777 buffet, and at $7.77 all day long, the meal was a quite good and a great deal. In addition, the pool area on the 7th floor (although busy) was very nice. Unfortunately, this is where the positives stop. Luckily, the average guest sees very little of the room, and when they do, they tend to be too drunk or tired to care. That was not the case with me. The rooms were small, outdated, and uncomfortable. I believe that it was clean, but it was hard to differentiate dirt from just plain old. However, as I had said before, if you plan to sleep next to the toilet anyhow, the room may not be a huge factor in your stay.

Positives: Location, buffet.

Negatives: All aspects of the room (comfort, cleanliness, decor).

Could have been a grand hotel in its day; but now it has lost all its presumed grandeur. Needs refurbishing.

Negatives: Stained old furniture - cold water in shower-loud air conditioner.

Overall, it was nice and pleasant. Some work needed to be done to make it work well.

Positives: It was located near Fremont Street and was spacious.

Negatives: Could tell it had seen better days and could see better ones still with right management.

I would never stay at this hotel again. It looks like they have never renovated since its first construction decades ago. Paper is peeling off of the walls. There was mold. All of the pipes leaked and there were multiple stains on the carpets inside the room and the hallway. It was located right by Fremont street, which was the only plus.

Positives: Good buffet.

Negatives: Rooms that need renovating desperately.

Counter staff was friendly and courteous, 1 valet was borderline rude. Valet location requires that you must walk through the casino with children to get to the elevator (to get to your room). AC in the room was not functioning adequately.

Positives: This hotel is familiar, I have stayed there many times.

Negatives: Air conditioning did not work well in room.

Room had beds you felt the coils through. Walls were thin; kids in next room woke us up both nights at 5 am playing with Sweeney door. Front desk staff did nothing to elevate. Casino floor dirty, little glass pickups. Hostesses were not happy to be there. Live band was AWESOME! Won't stay there again!

Positives: Good loose slots, good band.

Negatives: Dirty and noisy.

I will not be staying at the Plaza again. The beds were horribly uncomfortable, and I do mean horribly. The bathroom wasn't big enough for an anorexic much less a normal or bigger person. The entire room felt dirty. There were only two pillows per bed and they were so tiny it was like not even having any pillows. When I requested more they said they would take of it. 24 hours later I had to call back for them again and they said they thought they were out but would check. When they still had not arrived hours later I had to go to housekeeping, which was right next door to our room, and ask for them again. I had the worst nights sleep of my life in those beds.

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: The room was dirty and uncomfortable.

Management at this location needs some customer skills. They could have at least called to check if I was ok after the ambulance came to check me for injuries, but we never heard from management and did not even get an apology when we checked out of the hotel.

Positives: Housekeeping ladies were very nice.

Negatives: After my accident in the parking structure the only person that apologized was the security guard and the manager never even showed their face.
