This hotel is nice and we liked being a block off the strip. The rooms were OK but not up to typical standards for a Westin. The television was terrible - an old tube TV that didn't even get clear reception. The free cocktail hour was really nice.
Positives: The free cocktail hour and the location one block off the strip
Negatives: The television was embarrassing - an old tube TV that had lines on the screen

The hotel more than met my needs for this stay.
Positives: Staff was very helpful with my wife who had vertigo and needed a wheel chair.
Negatives: Room was a bit small and crowded.

Downgrade your rating of this hotel.
Positives: QNiet.
Negatives: Needs renovation.

PRICELINE stuck us here. BEWARE they charge an extra $10/night for services they don't provide. One newspaper for an entire floor, seriously??? Maid skipped our room night 1 and clean half of it without replacing water on the second night. NOT A 4 STAR more like a 3 STAR. Carpets need replaced, room too small, casino staff unfriendly, and smell in the walk to lobby needs to be addressed. Starbucks a plus, location isn't bad if you have a car, casino was nice when the smokers were gone.
Positives: queit casino, starbucks, has potential to be a nice place
Negatives: see #15

I was impressed with the overall experience of this hotel. I didn't like that they have you keep money at the front desk in case you have "incidentals", but what can you do. Don't come to the hotel to gamble because you will be disappointed. We came to relax so that wasn't a problem. The swimming pool was VERY small. Not very fun for kids. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean.
Positives: The staff was helpful and friendly very willing to help.
Negatives: The bellboys weren't very friendly. Acted like they we were bothering them to ask for directions.

Nice hotel.
Positives: Clean Room, close to strip.
Negatives: Nice hotel.

I don't think I've ever written a negative review of a hotel in my life and I'm not hard to please, but I definitely can't say I left impressed after staying 4 nights. The bathroom light wouldn't stop flickering and it took multiple calls to have it fixed a day later. A small dog nearby would not stop barking for literally hours on end and we had to be moved (to a suddenly available king bed room after check-in repeatedly said none were available). The concierge was astoundingly rude when I called down to ask about sushi restaurants nearby. All in all -- decent rooms, a poor experience.
Positives: Facility is nice, pool area was private and relaxing (but small).
Negatives: Barking dogs, flickering lights, unhelpful concierge, stressful experience.

Location was good north/southbound as it was central. Rooms were clean enough. View was not great. Lobby was a little shabby.
Positives: Rooms were clean.
Negatives: Somewhat sketchy location.

The hotel was better than average, but not a 4 star quality hotel. The hotel charges a mandatory fee each night on top of the room fee. The beds are comfortable and the room is pretty clean. Room service is a bit slow as we left the room around 10AM and got back around 7PM and our room was still not cleaned.
Positives: The overall room was clean, and the beds were comfortable.
Negatives: Room service is lacking and the mandatory additional fee/night was unexpected.

Fairly nice, would have preferred a bigger room.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Room was too small, could not add an extra bed.

After notifying the front desk about the plumbing issues and requesting a new room so we could continue Yo get ready they refused to accommodate. They sent up a service tech to fix it, we ended up late for our dinner reservations. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Positives: Valet was nice.
Negatives: Went to shave and the sink stopper didn't work to drain the water.
Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 21 Apr 2011 rated 9 out of 10.
The staff at the Westin were most gracious and helpful. The room was pleasant. The casino was small but fine for the location.
Positives: Quiet and not too far from the Vegas excitement.
Negatives: Next to an open lot where many vagrants sat and drank alcohol.

It was upscale, very clean and relaxing rooms. The beds are to die for, and the double shower head was a great bonus. We stayed in the SPG rooms this trip, an upgrade for our anniversary, very nice rooms. The staff was helpful and very respectable, not the norm for our regular Las Vegas experiences. I would recommend staying there if you don't mind the walk to the strip.
Positives: Very comfortable beds with soft, and very white bedding. Perfect after long nights on you feet.
Negatives: Pool was closed for repairs, and they offered use at another property, but no shuttle service.

I'm a preferred star member and have stayed at many Westin hotels. This by far was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I was disappointed in the manner in which things were handled, or I should say, not handled. Even at the top level at this hotel, starting with the manager ,there was absolutely no customer service at all. I will definitely avoid making any future plans to stay at this hotel.
Positives: The boy that worked at Starbucks was the only good thing!
Negatives: Bad service! We didn't get bathroom supplies, towels and shampoo. Pool was closed, extra charges for nothing! Undisclosed fees.

Hotel is at best, a 3 star. Casino is small and very few people playing. Hotel is two blocks from the strip where all the action is. The hotel had one small restaurant and very small pool which was closed. The carpets in the hallways and in our room were stained. The tub stopper in our bathroom did not work. There was nothing special about this hotel. To compare the Westin to other 4 star hotels in Vegas is ridiculous.
Positives: Gave my wife and I champagne and chocolate strawberries upon arrival for our anniversary.
Negatives: Location was off strip. Hotel was not 4 star caliber. Carpets in halls and room stained.

Overall, the hotel was great. Friendly, knowledgeable staff made for a pleasurable stay. The casino was great with it's modestly priced tables. The craps table was great, we won quite a bit of money :) Was unable to try the breakfast buffet at the Suade restaurant, but it looked incredible! Will visit the Westin again
Positives: The casino staff was wonderful! The bed was extremely comfortable.
Negatives: 4 pm check-in was inconvenient, too late. Not entirely smoke free.

Great 3 star hotel.
Positives: Friendly staff.
Negatives: Old and run down hotel with questionable surroundings.

Some rooms are not even plumbed for heating and they just hope customers don't notice. We were in Las Vegas when it was less than 30 degrees and the heat did not work in the first room we were at. They moved us to another room which didn't have it either. Frustrated with all this, we said we want our money back. Then finally they said we will give you a deluxe room, they literally lied to our face, they gave us the exact same room in a different floor, but with heat this time. The pool is always closed and they demand resort fee!
Positives: The walk to the strip was not as bad as I thought it would be and it was quiet.
Negatives: They did not have heat in the first room and then they moved us to another room which didn't have heat either.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 01 Dec 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
Good: Bed and showers. Bad: The water would not drain in the tub and I cleared the clog by pulling out lot of hair from the clogged drain. It took sometime for the maintenance guy to show up but we could not wait that long. The room had cold air when it was in 40s outside. The maintenance guy had to open the unit and change it to hot water mode to get the heat going. They could have done it before the guests occupied the rooms.
Positives: Vicinity to the Las Vegas Strip, not too huge to waste time in the parking lot.
Negatives: Pricey food at the restaurant (even for breakfast).
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 30 Nov 2010 rated 5 out of 10.
The overall experience with this hotel is disappointing, starting with the poor and old furniture of the room up to the hotel service fees that they charge per night for amenities that are not useful (e.g. valet parking while you don't have a car, daily newspaper that was never delivered..etc).
Positives: Location
Negatives: Hotel service fees.

It looked like it was trying to compete with the big, newer hotel/casinos (or smaller newer hotels), but fell short. Room was comfortable, but small. The brown carpet looked like it was a carpet pad. The room in the lobby used for their shows/performances was empty & dark - gave appearance of going out of business. Even though there was a small casino, there were not many oartons. We had no desire to stay in the casino for the evening, and didn't.
Positives: Close to the Las Vegas strip, but not on it.
Negatives: Carpet looked old, color choices of decor gave the illusion of worn.

Hotel staff was nice. Otherwise, I would not stay there again.
Positives: It was quiet
Negatives: Too far away and ugly surroundings.

Bad location that looks closer to the strip than it is. Need to take a cab or a car everywhere. Charged a $10+ resort fee but the pool was closed, no other amenities, and charged $12.99 + TX for Internet access. Strong smell of smoke in my room even though the entire hotel is supposed to be smoke free!
Positives: Free parking.
Negatives: Charged $10+ per day for a resort fee, and $13+ for Internet.

I
was billed an additional 21.00$ in fees upon check-out I was not happy about this.
Positives: Fluffy beds.
Negatives: Late late maid service.

Negatives: Everything was great.

We did like the hotel location and room features except the room location.
Positives: Nice and comfortable room.
Negatives: We got 3rd floor room without any view.

We arrived early and were told to come back at 2pm for a possible early check-in. Came back at 2pm, room still not ready. Came back at 3:30 and were told that 4pm was the "guaranteed" check-in time. All of this effort could have been saved if they had just told us we were not likely to get our room early. I called the hotel one week prior to our arrival to request 2 beds per room (which we got) and asked about the hotel pool. They said it was operational and outdoors. When we arrived, the pool was closed and I asked about the hot tub and told it was also closed. The next morning a bill for service charges was slipped under our door. I called to inquire what they were for and was told for the pool, hot tub and a "social hour or cocktail hour the previous night from 6-8pm". I told the lady that their pool and hot tub was not in operation and she said that the hob tub was, but I told her upon checking yesterday I was told that it was not and we were unable to use their facilities. They said they had the use of the pool at a neighboring hotel, but I said no one wants to walk across and down the street in their bathing suit which she replied, I guess that's right. Then she informed me of the social/cocktail hour. I told her that we were not notified of that and she said there should have been a listing in with my room key/card. I informed her there was not and if we had known we would have attended. I asked her to remove the charges from my bill and she did. All in all, their staff was not informative, and I would never stay at this hotel again.
Positives: The beds were comfortable.
Negatives: The staff was not informative and charged my credit card with services that the hotel did not have in operation.

Hotels is in need of a major renovation. Carpets were dirty, rooms smelled like body odor, faucets leaked, rooms were cramped, rooms dated. Pool and hot tub was closed due to maintenance problems. If hotel was remodeled it might be worthy of business travel but nothing else. This hotel is not located on the strip.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Hotel needs a major renovation.

The hotel is better than the Tropicana, but the location is not safe. I didn't want to believe the reviews, but unfortunately I experienced it myself. If you're a single female, don't stay here. Your safety will be at risk.
Positives: There was a Starbucks in the hotel.
Negatives: The location was not safe and I was harassed by a homeless woman who followed me.

Good experience.
Positives: Great staff and great little casino.
Negatives: Cleaning crew came into room at 0830 in the morning.

The room and bathroom was very small and drab, the decor was outdated and cheap looking. The hallways were dimly let, drab, and had dirty carpets. The hotel was very plain looking. The hotel also allowed pets and there should have been some kind of disclaimer for people that are allergic to pets. The hotel is definitely not a 4 or even a 3 star hotel, I would compare the quality of the rooms to a motel 6.
Positives: The bed was very comfortable, that's the thing.
Negatives: Everything else.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 12 Jul 2010 rated 8 out of 10.
It was a good hotel. The price I paid was very reasonable for the quality and location.
Positives: It was clean and close to the attractions. Not crowded. No parking fee. No pressure to spend money.
Negatives: The pool was too small. Not for young children with the young adults around.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 04 Jul 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
This hotel can be described as just OK. The views are not that great, and it's a good trek to the strip.
Positives: Price was OK.
Negatives: Not very great views.

Whatever you do, don't stay here unless you want to stay at an outdated, totally not worth it experience. We negotiated which I know is a gamble, but we paid what we would have through the website for the hotel itself. We were looking for a Vegas strip experience and this was far from it. Totally disappointing and customer service from Priceless was less than helpful. We'll never use this site again!
Positives: The bellmen were nice.
Negatives: The room smelled bad. The decor was dingy and outdated. The convenience and amenities were lackluster.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 05 Jun 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
Decent hotel. Definitely not a 4 star by any standards. The pool in my backyard is bigger than the one at this hotel (no joke). The pool is tiny for a place like this. Would not pay more than to stay here. Carpet was pretty worn, fire alarm went off in building at like 12:30 at night. Overall a decent place. You have to pay extra for internet service (like $12.99 for 24 hours). Even motel 6 only charges $2.99, and other cheap places are free. It should be free here too.
Positives: Is decent as a 3 star but no 4 star.
Negatives: Was not up to Par as a 4 star hotel should be and the pool is tiny.

Needs updating with a scrub in all areas of the rooms and a better informed staff with regards to how to handle situations without having to ask 10 people.
Positives: I got it cheap.
Negatives: Old needs updating dirty bathtub.

The hotel was clean and had excellent comfortable beds, however, I do not like how they slip a bill for the hotel tax under your door. They should inform guests of this additional charge prior to check in. The Westin comes off as a bit sneaky.
Positives: Clean hotel and comfortable bedding.
Negatives: I do not like how they slip a bill for the hotel tax under your door. This should be charged before hand!

The hotel was just like any other Westin. The bed was nice.
Positives: Clean
Negatives: Not "Vegas" enough.

This hotel's location is off the strip and is not a 4-star luxury hotel. I would rather pay for a more expensive hotel such as the MGM Grand or New York New York for the inconvenience it puts on yourself.
Positives: Clean and smelled good.
Negatives: Location, room quietness, shower, and parking.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 05 May 2010 rated 10 out of 10.
This was a really nice place to stay. It wasn't extremely crowded and we felt really safe there. The room was really nice; the staff was friendly. The food in the restaurant was really good and the service was great. I'd definitely go back again!
Positives: Small but extremely comfortable and appealing.
Negatives: No information in the room about the hotel and its services.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 01 May 2010 rated 6 out of 10.
This is a remodeled 1970's hotel. They have done a good job redecorating the rooms but they are still small. The bed is comfortable. Do not book lower floors. We were on the 4th floor. It looked out on the hotels air conditioning units. These were loud and we couldn't sleep due to the clanging noise they started making at 4 am. We complained and were upgraded to a higher floor. Be aware that this hotel charges up to $15 a day in RESORT FEES! Not worth it. Try another hotel.
Positives: The rooms were nicely decorated. Comfy bed.
Negatives: Old hotel that has been updated. Small rooms. Small lobby. Dingy location.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 27 Apr 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
It was clean & nice rooms.
I would stay again, price was very good.
Positives: Great if you want a regular hotel in Vegas.
Negatives: It was off the strip so be prepared to walk.

Overall pretty good experience. The barking dog issue a real pain. Had to go to front desk and request a different room which meant dragging our luggage back downstairs and then back upstairs.
Positives: General appearance and condition of hotel.
Negatives: Barking pet in room next to ours and players club personnel could not explain promo's clearly/not very good English.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 11 Apr 2010 rated 4 out of 10.
The hotel was ok by itself, but the staff there was rude, unhelpful.
Positives: Wasn't as busy as other Vegas hotels
Negatives: Front desk staff was clueless on many occasions

We had a comfortable stay. We and our children enjoyed the heated pool and cozy pool/Jacuzzi area. Contemporary clean lines decor.
Positives: Modern interior decor. Exquisite swimming pool and jacuzzi.
Negatives: Not on the strip, but near.

The hotel was had a great atmosphere. It was really nice to visit all the bigger casino hotels and come back to a nice mellow place, helped to unwind.
Positives: Convient and more mellow.
Negatives: Right next to gas stations and little too far off the strip.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 30 Oct 2009 rated 3 out of 10.
Front desk service spotty. Only one of the three agents was helpful and friendly. The other two did not help us at all. The hotel blind sided us with a $15 resort fee which was supposed to include a daily paper. No paper delivered on Friday. When I requested it the next day, they said that the daily paper is not available on the weekend. I should have gone down the street and paid less than half the cost of the hotel. And that was a true 4 star hotel.
Positives: Food and staff at the Suede was great.
Negatives: Blind sided us with a $15 resort fee!
