Decent room and value. Waffles, cereal, bananas, toast were available for breakfast. Not many restaurants/businesses in the immediate area, but I didn't go searching, either. Would stay there again.
Positives: Clean. Safe area. Fridge in room. Large room. Breakfast.
Negatives: Wireless internet connection didn't work.

My pre-authorized arrangements confused the hotel staff. They swiped my credit card I don't know how many times? They also requested $ deposit for hotel amenities which surprised me.
Positives: Next to great bar & restaurant.

The hotel was older and not in the best repair though it was generally clean. Major problem for us was that they could not provide us with a non-smoking room and the room reeked of smoke.
Positives: Limited, but nice view of Whitmore Lake.
Negatives: Limited continental breakfast with no fruit.

I got the Jacuzzi room and the water was so filled with iron it looked orangish. I ran the water for several minutes with no avail. The clerk at the front desk made it pretty clear it was unlikely I would ever get a rebate, and offered me a new room. I will never go to or recommend this hotel again. The water was disgusting, the staff was unhelpful, the room had been smoked in (it was non-smoking) and it wasn't even that clean (hair in the Jacuzzi and the shower).
Positives: Great location.
Negatives: The room was well below my expectation.

For the casual traveler this is the place to stay when visiting Ann Harbor. If you like the water there is plenty. Lakeside side dining is excellent. The price will fit everyone's budget.
Positives: Location, friendly staff, cleanliness and overall good experience.
Negatives: No on site restaurant.

Road noise. Be sure to not get a handicapped room. I had to turn the water off in the shower because it was so cold. It's supposed to be a safety feature for the handicapped, but I couldn't tolerate the low temperature.

Negatives: Shower water was too cold due to it being a handicapped room.

Cleanest rooms, friendliest staff, and truly a wonderful visit. Would recommend these beautiful accommodations to anyone looking for a home away from home. Try the Outriggers or Tavern for a great place to eat with friendly service.
