The rug had very recently been shampooed. Because it was still soaking wet, and did not really dry during my 2 night stay. Also, I found a dirty squirt bottle and a can of acetone in one of the kitchen cupboards when looking for a pan to warm up my food. This makes me think that the room had previously been used to make drugs in.

Positives: It was quiet.

Negatives: I think that someone used the room.

The hotel staff was very helpful and on point with business. Housekeeping needs to do a better job of cleaning. It seemed like some units were used more than others. Our last room was tolerable but not up to standards. And I'm not real picky. The manager compensated us for our inconveniences.

Positives: Staff was very friendly and very helpful.

Negatives: First room was awful. But we were re-assigned.

A great buy! They offered a social hour with free lasagna on Wednesdays evening, and a fairly decent full breakfast in the morning. Rooms were clean, but showing their age. Nice staff . All around a great buy.

Positives: Very acceptable for the price bid/paid.

Negatives: Overall condition was somewhat worn and old, though things appeared clean.

The location was easy to find. I was served by friendly staff. The hotel lobby and room were clean and comfortable.

Positives: It was clean and comfortable and close to where I needed to be.

I was not impressed with this property. The juice machine was broken on our first morning of breakfast. The manager watched one person after another try getting juice from the machine without saying a word. He didn't even bother to put an out of order sign on it. I bought food to grill on the property only to be told by the front desk that the grill was not available for use. The pool was cloudy and unkempt looking. The Jacuzzi had no water and looked like a sewer. Apparently the grounds are scheduled for new lighting. There were cement slabs with bolts and wires sticking out all over the property. My 10 year old daughter tripped and fell over one of them. The basketball/volleyball/tennis court was a mess. The volleyball net was broken and hanging low and basketball backboard had a broken and hanging rim. There were missing plastic tiles all over the court. There was grass growing on it. All in all, a property that has great potential if run properly, but as it is, not a property that I'd consider a quality Hawthorne property.

Negatives: Crowded dining area, hazards all over the property.

I was amazed when I entered the room. It had a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and stove. The cabinets were stocked with pots, pans, plates, silverware and various kitchen utensils. The decor was a bit outdated, but for the features and price, it was acceptable.

Positives: This room had enough appliances to live in.

Negatives: The entrance and exit are from a one way street/boulevard.

This hotel was more than we expected. The suites were spacious and recently renovated. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet had a great variety. The complex and pool areas were well maintained. I would definitely go back again. We felt that it was good value for the price. It is not 4 star hotel, but great for a family who wants to travel on a budget and have a clean, spacious place to stay. The kitchenette is a bonus to save on eating out costs.

This is a former Marriott Residence Inn that has been taken over by Hawthorn. They are updating and renovating throughout the entire property. It has fallen into slight disrepair but is being fixed up again. (July, 2008).

Positives: Non-institutional design and "cottage-style" experience.

Negatives: A lot of quick fixes going on.

I thought the hotel grounds were beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The rooms is very spacious, complete with fireplace. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

Positives: This hotel was very clean, tastefully decorated and felt like home away from home. Lots of room.

Negatives: Not enough parking close to my room. Had to park quite away from my room.

While this is by no means a new hotel, I was pleasantly surprised for the money. My GPS took me right to the front door, but it might be a little difficult to find for some. Nice & quiet, and the ability to make home-cooked meals in the kitchen made it especially attractive!

Positives: Full kitchen.

Negatives: Nothing.
