Overall, it was a nice get away from home. Nice screen TV with HD channels. Love the hand soap. King size bed was gigantic. Would love to stay there again.

It is true that we are taking good to great deals on the rooms, but sometimes we are stuck in a not well convenient room neither for the star we chose or for the hotel brand name we are staying at.

Positives: Reception people, room, bed comfort, and cleanliness.

Negatives: The air conditioning of the room.

Convenient location on Hwy. 10; convenient take-out food nearby (behind hotel) and easy access to hotel from covered parking garage.

Very comfortable rooms with many nice extra touches such as robes, flat screen TV's, and a double-headed showers. Along with the extra touches, the staff seemed to go out of their way to make sure your stay was as comfortable as possible.

Positives: Extremely comfortable beds in spacious rooms.

Negatives: Quite a distance from downtown and no free Internet.

We traveled to Detroit for a funeral. We were very concerned about the location and safety because of the negative things we heard about Detroit. I must say we were impressed with the location, safety, variety of food in the area, cleanliness and staff.

Positives: The hotel decor was beautiful, the staff was great.

Negatives: We ordered rooms service pancakes. The syrup for the pancakes was disgusting.

I found it very surprising that this type of upscale hotel would go over a week without having the jet motor for the public jacuzzi repaired. I also was awakened in the morning by work being done in a room above me and much to my displeasure, construction work right outside the hotel. Early, way too early in the morning (5-6 am) for those types of sounds.

Positives: Food was excellent!

Negatives: Public jacuzzi didn't work.

The hotel is in a great location for business travelers. I felt safe leaving and returning to the hotel at night. Staff was always at the doors. Room was clean and did not have the typical stale hotel odor.

Positives: Very friendly and profesional staff.

Negatives: There was no refrigerator in the room.

Great hotel for location. Rooms were very clean, and a very large area for working with computer. The bed was very comfortable. The shower had 2 super heads for a refreshing shower. Coffee in the room was Starbucks. Large HDTV. Recommend to stay here.

Stayed here on two-day business trip. Accommodations met my expectations for a Westin. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was located in a poor neighborhood, restaurant service & food was substandard, and the pool & whirlpool were both very cold. However, the room was beautiful and the hotel staff was very polite & accommodating.

I had a fine stay at this hotel, but with one problem. I checked into my room and unpacked, only to find out that I could not connect to the internet using their wireless connection. I called and was told that I needed a cable for the internet connection. A maintenance man came up and said that my floor should be wireless, but was unable to connect. I went to the front desk and explained. They gave me another room and I had to pickup and move. The hotel should get with the times and have wireless in every room!

Positives: The quality of the beds were amazing.

Negatives: No wireless internet in all rooms.

I always stay at the Westin when I travel to Detroit (about 8 weeks a year). I consistently have great service, the food is good, great location and the fitness equipment is in good shape. It has an attached walkway from the parking garage and has easy access to the freeway.

Positives: Great workout room, staff is always friendly.

Negatives: $15/day to use the Internet.

My bath tub stopper didn't work so I couldn't take bath. On the shower wall mold was growing. In the restaurant so many baby flies.
