We came in on a Friday night, the bar was overpriced, room nice & clean as expected for Marriott. The front desk staff was nice as as the housekeeper servicing my room. But their was one rude housekeeper on Saturday who as quit rude to the children of another guest. The wait staff at the restaurant the following morning were superb. This hotel is located right off highway, & if you drive a little you could find nice things to do. The bar as overpriced.

I was very pleased with my stay for the price I paid. I am highly likely to stay at this hotel again. The staff was very friendly.

Positives: The staff, pool, bar area, tv in room, bathroom in room.

Everthing is as expected except the new trend of odd shape pillows that are not in the least comfortable. If I request a king size bed we would like king size pillows.

Customer service was phenomenal. Clean room &amp; comfortable bed make this hotel a good stop. However too many kids were roaming the hotel in groups late night and the pool water wasn't all that clean. No towels in the pool area, but after asking twice they were brought in. Overall, a good value if purchased at a discount.

The hotel is very good and i have stayed in the past, but the room I stayed in this time was not very nice and isn't a good reflection of the rest of the hotel.

Positives: Well located and friendly staff.

Negatives: The room I was given is on the first floor and is handicapped (don't need handicapped) and it was musty with wet floors.

This hotel is a good buy. The bed feels like you are sleeping on clouds. The staff is so friedly and helpful. I will stay here next time.

The hotel overall was great. I didn't leave the room very much, but the bed was amazingly comfortable and the television was great. The view could've been better, and I would've liked a continental breakfast. Overall for the price, it was well worth it.

From what I saw of the hotel in the brief time we were there, it is awesome. Wish we could have spent more time there. I was just looking for a place close to Southgate and DTW to sleep for a couple of hours before flying out.

Positives: I was there for less than 4 hours in the middle of the night -- what would you like me to say.

Negatives: It wasn't close to the event I attended or the airport by at least 25 miles.

The premises are very good, spacious, but the room was dusty. Continental breakfast was not available.

Very practical Marriott with many features: free WiFi, made to order waffle and omelets Sunday brunch buffet, great beds. Very friendly staff. Room service menu is quite limited. Poor in-room maintenance and room upkeep. Cleanliness is lacking. Housekeeping is mediocre, at best. Its almost time for remodeling.

I was only there for one night thank goodness. The housekeeping staff was terrible. They need to focus more on cleanliness of the room than having bad attitudes with guest. The morning of the day of checkout housekeeping knocked on the door at 9:30 am while I was sleeping to tell me that it was the next morning. Ok, checkout time is noon.

Positives: Guest services was nice!

Negatives: Housekeeping is terrible at this hotel. I did not like the attitudes of the staff.

Staff was very helpful in every way. The hotel was in a very quiet location and was just a short 15 mile ride from everything we did in downtown Detroit. Highly recommended.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. We didn't have a chance to eat at the restaurant, therefore cannot make any comments on the service or food. I would definitely return there and recommend the hotel to our family and friends. I love the Marriott Southfield. I stay there every time I travel to Detroit. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is great and the pool and workout facilities are excellent.

Positives: Staff is friendly. Always remember me on my trips. Even after 6 months!

Negatives: There wasn't a room available on Thursday when I traveled so I had to change hotels.

The hotel overall was very good. We enjoyed our stay the rooms the hotel in general was very clean smelled good. The workers was very pleasant, helpful and courteous.
