Location easy to find but hard to get into. The hotel has a night club or something, so Friday and Saturday nigh is kind of busy. Breakfast not that great, but was ok. Better than nothing! I would stay there again, Just 10 minutes away from DC. And about 30 from Baltimore.

Positives: They accepted my price.

Negatives: Poor breakfast.

The two staff were lovely, friendly and served a very adequate continental breakfast scrabbled eggs.

Positives: The personnel including the manager and desk man were extremely helpful and pleasant.

Negatives: AC in first room made so much noise I couldn't sleep and had to change rooms.

I was totally shocked to see a beautiful hotel that is only one star!

Positives: Surprised, unexpected!

Ok, but it could be better considering that this building has been here for several years under different hotels. I cannot expect much more considering two 2 star. It is quiet and chill to stay in. I just had a couple of problems that were addressed and corrected so all is ok as of right now. Thank you.

Positives: Overall, it is a good hotel with some exceptions.

Negatives: Staff, customer service, maintenance of room.

The hotel it self was excellent. The location is a little difficult to get to. The hotel has nightclub for those that enjoy that sort of thing. It is also used by large tour groups.

Positives: The breakfast bar included some hot food such as eggs and grits.

Negatives: The cups at the breakfast bar are too small. Both for hot and cold drinks. They aren't much bigger than a shot glass.

It was an average hotel. The room was hard to cool and the bathroom sink was always stopped up. As a plus though, it was conveniently located.

Positives: Convienent location.

I've had two separate 8 day stays at this same hotel now. If you stay there from Monday-Thursday you will normally have a quiet perfect business stay. Perfect if their high speed internet works--it was very slow on this last stay. If you are there on business on a Friday-Sunday bring ear plugs. If there isn't too much noise from the night club on the first floor, then the police sirens will wake you. If the police sirens don't wake you the teens and preteens running up and down the hallway at all hours will wake you. The staff is as accommodating as they can be under the circumstances. Best Western saddled them with an impossible task. Three luggage carts for all six floors of rooms, guests who do not watch out for their kids and having to run a nightclub on top of the hotel. BW should help this terrific staff fix things by giving them more money for improvements.

Positives: Most staff members was very helpful, though forgetful.

Negatives: The complementary breakfast will send you to the emergency room.

We were going to Six Flags for my aunts company picnic. We could not afford a real expensive hotel as we were only going to be spending the night. This hotel meet all the expectations and was so affordable to. We got there Friday night the kids went straight to the pool. Saturday morning we went for the continental breakfast that was excellent. We spent the day at Six Flags and came back to the hotel to sleep. The beds were comfortable. We got up Sunday morning and went to breakfast again then checked out.

Positives: Friendly service.

Negatives: Bathrooms a little small.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The pool was nice but not super clean. The staff was nice and helpful. The free continental breakfast was not very good but it was free and we didn't expect much of this. It met our expectations.

Positives: The price was good and the staff was helpful.

Negatives: The shuttle to the Metro was helpful but also some confusion on hours it was available.

When the bar is open they say park where you can find to park. I had to park across the street in a neighborhood that isn't that good. They did not respect the do not disturb sign. I would not stay here again on my own. The night crew is very rude.

Don't stay here unless you have to. The rooms aren't horrible but the staff, though well-meaning, is incompetent and useless. The hallways smell. Bath fixtures were broken. The rates they were quoting were exorbitant for what you got but they are off the interstate so many people were stopping by and paying much more than I did for an awful hotel. The taxis were rip-offs. I called for the shuttle to pick me up at metro and it still left without me and the staff was not helpful at all.

Positives: It was available. There was nothing else available.

Negatives: Did not like staff, location, shabby, smelly hotel. It had a pool which would have been nice for families.

This hotel is a very good deal for a budget-conscious traveler sightseeing or doing business in dc. It is located immediately off the beltway in lingam, mad and they offer a shuttle to the new Carrollton metro station. The hotel shows a little bit of age, but they have a swimming pool, a convenience kiosk in the lobby, refurbished and comfortable rooms with fridges and microwaves, an attentive staff, and a good continental breakfast. There are restaurants across the street and one on the property as well. If you don't mind staying out at the end of the metro line, check this hotel out on your next trip to dc.

Positives: Good continental breakfast, shuttle to metro station, nice rooms.

Negatives: Wireless service could have had a stronger signal.

We stayed at the Best Western in Lanham, MD, one night in order to take care of some business in Washington, DC, the following morning. When we checked in (a Sunday night), there was a long line, and the two people working the desk didn't seem in any hurry to expedite people. We wanted to go have dinner in Georgetown that night, so we asked the folks at the desk - they couldn't even point to that part of town on the map (seriously?), and so they tried to send us literally 30 minutes out of the way (taking the beltway all the way around the city instead of going into DC). The room was not very clean - stains on the carpet, coffee spill on the floor that had not been cleaned up. The hallways were dark and the ceilings were low. Not to mention, they say they have free wireless in the hotel ... we couldn't pick up any signal, so we called the front desk and they said we would have to come sit in the lobby to pick it up. Also, there were no towels in our room when we checked in, so we had to call to have some delivered. It did not appear to be in a very good part of town - not to mention there were dozens of signs outside saying the hotel was not responsible for valuables stolen if they were left in your car. There is a "night club" attached to the hotel - we didn't go - but it didn't seem to attract a very good crowd. We originally chose this hotel because it is close to the New Carrollton metro stop and we thought we would just metro into the city - but once we arrived and saw how bad the area was, we decided to drive into the city and pay outrageous prices for parking. Words to the wise - pay the extra bit and stay anywhere but here.

Positives: Cheap.

Negatives: Dangerous area of town, staff is not helpful, dirty.

Beautiful lobby, excellent pillow-top mattress, breakfast was o.k. Took too long to check in and get settled: we were given a smoking room. Changed rooms. Given a room not cleaned. Changed rooms. Light bulb burned out. Changed bulbs. New bulb burned out. Second new bulb worked.

Positives: Lobby was beautiful and staff was friendly.

Negatives: Poor desk communication with cleaning/maintenance staff? See review.

Every thing was nice with the exception that there is a Night Club in the Hotel and when I would return as a paying customer, I would have an extremely hard time finding a parking space. I was traveling with a four year old and had to leave him at the front desk one evening while driving for at least 15 minutes to get a park.

Positives: Clean, pleasant atmosphere.

Negatives: Did not have a restaurant for room service.
