The balcony was leaning so much, we thought that it was going to fall down. The ceiling in the room and bathroom was falling down. There were strange splatters on walls and beds. The sink would not turn off. The staff was ok, but the conditions of the hotel was horrible! Would not stay there again.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Ceiling falling down, something splattered all over walls/beds.

My family and I rented 3 rooms this weekend at your Ashland location. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. When we arrived all three rooms where muggy and moldy smelling. We turn on our ACs and left for dinner right away cause we couldn't stand the heat of the room. After being gone for a couple of hours we returned to find our room still hot and discovered the filter on the AC unit was covered in dirt and dust and not working. My uncle discovered bugs in his bed and bathroom and my parents had a stopped up toilet. When they asked for maintenance they were told they did not arrive till 9am and when they asked for a plunger they were told the hotel didn't have one. Neither did the dignify have an iron or ironing board. When one thinks of a Days Inn you expect something with a little more class and care then the spot I stayed this weekend.
Positives: It was close to the Park we were visiting.
Negatives: The hotel maintenance was horrible.

Great location in Ashland, easy access to everything. They need to do something about the location and smell of the dumpster location, terrible smell walking in and out of the lobby. Nice breakfast area, well kept.
Positives: Exactly what I expected for the money.
Negatives: Was good until 12:30 a.m. Other guests let children run up and down the isles.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The room was dirty and not maintained. The front and bathroom doors had huge cracks in them. Everything about the room seemed seedy and unsafe- if it had been just me, there is no way that I would have stayed there. The pools was covered with dirt and debris such as beer cans etc. It seemed as if no one had cleaned around the perimeter in ages. Very dirty!
Positives: It was near the location we were visiting.
Negatives: Room was filthy.

The hotel is located near a lot of shopping centers and restaurants, and very close to King's Dominion. We came back to our room to find a man leaving the room after we checked in, smoking (we had non smoking rooms for health reasons) making us nervous enough to go to the front desk to ask about it, and we were told it was a manager. I didn't sleep well that night because of that. The room was clean and comfortable though.
Positives: Very nice hotel desk clerk, very pleasant person.
Negatives: Someone coming out of our room, we didn't know.

Ashland area was enjoyable. Dropped the Teenagers off at the amusement park, (Only about 10 miles away from hotel) Went back to Ashland, over to Rt 1 where there was lots of shopping and places to eat. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean. The price was great! Enjoyed our stay.
Positives: The Price, Close to Kings Dominion, Clean Rooms.
Negatives: The Pool was a little small and only 4 ft deep.
