In short, I liked it very much. It met my needs, was unique because historic, and had a great location. I would go back as long as the rates remain reasonable.

Positives: The ambience of a historic inn.

Negatives: Nothing disappointed me.

I had a great time, the staff is very nice. It was a pleasure to stay there, in the middle of Annapolis downtown. I loved it.

Positives: The history, the age, I loved.

Negatives: Do not have refrigerator in the room.

Room was way to small for two people, bathroom was way to small, the whole building was out of square and when clothes were in the dresser the draws wouldn't stay closed. They had valet parking buy no way near enough valets and the street in front of the hotel was to narrow so if valet was there you had to drive around till they came out to park your car.

Positives: Nothing at all.

Negatives: Room to small, parking on the streets even though it was valet.

My mother always told me "If you can't say anything good, then don't say anything at all". I hope that expresses my opinion in a nut shell. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel in my life. Especially for such a historic location. Oh, one more thing, clear English speaking desk clerks would be expected.

Positives: It was conveniently located to downtown Annapolis.

Negatives: Check-in was @ another location. Poor logistics/information on setup. Not handicapped friendly

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at the historic inns. It has a great location and they valet park your car which is great in Annapolis. The hotel itself is very well kept and the staff is friendly. You will find a paper at your door and a down comforter on your bed. The only negative thing is the rooms are a little small, but if it is a small party it is just fine. Definitely too quiet for kids!! Overall, great experience and I plan to go back!

Positives: Nice location with elegant decor.

Negatives: Rooms were a little small, but okay for 2 people.

A beautiful centrally located hotel. Friendly staff. The only difficulty was a tiny room without a chair or a desk.

We checked out immediately. Definitely not for a family. We have two younger children. The smallest hotel room I have ever seen. More peeves: small wall air conducting unit & shower/no tub.

Positives: Middle of town.

Negatives: Tiny, not for family.

Due to an air conditioner unit in the window, it felt like we were sleeping outside, very noisy. So I think I was put in the lowest priced room for that reason, and the room did not look much like the pictures. But very clean.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: Very noisy. It was like sleeping outside. Did not sleep. At all.

This is suppose to be a 2.5 star hotel, yet the rooms are so cramped that only a double bed can barely fit. There was no tub, only a very small shower in my room. There is no one at the front desk at the Maryland Inn and no one to help with baggage which is a problem since there is no parking at this hotel. Mouse droppings were found on the linens, and one hotel guest actually saw a mouse in her room. We were locked out of our room. We had to go to our parked car (several blocks away) to get the paperwork proving that we had two more days left, yet they would not show proof that it wasn't their mistake. We left early even though we had prepaid for more days because we really couldn't take it there any longer.

Positives: It is convenient to downtown.

Negatives: Small rooms, no service (no bell hop), unclean (mouse droppings), unfriendly, uncooperative staff.

There are more than one building making up Historic Inns of Annapolis, if you have the unfortunate luck of getting booked at the Maryland Inn, expect mice feces on linens, no one at the front desk, no help with your bags and the smallest rooms imaginable, too small to even have a tub in the bathroom. And please do not expect your room to be cleaned, or get a bar of soap to clean yourself in the tiny little shower. And please don't expect anyone to be friendly or helpful.

Positives: The feather pillows and comforter.

Negatives: The mouse feces on the towels, the lack of help, unclean tiny rooms.

We stayed at Governor Calvert House - a sophisticated and charming hotel, exceeding its 2&1/2 star rating. However, the Staff were too young and informal for the rarefied atmosphere.

The location is the best in Annapolis; less than a five minute walk to the shops and great restaurants on the dock. One can conveniently book tours around the city or cruises on the bay.

Positives: Outstanding location. You are a short walking distance from the dock and great restaurants

Negatives: N/A

From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. Our room was beautifully decorated and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and eager to assist us in any way possible. The Inn is located on State Circle in the heart of Annapolis and is within walking distance to numerous shops, restaurants, and bars. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone visiting Annapolis and I look forward to a return visit.

Positives: Beautiful inn located in the heart of downtown Annapolis. Excellent staff and I look forward to another visit.

Negatives: Hard to blame hotel on lack of parking. May have to park in city parking deck or use the inns valet service.

The room was elegantly decorated and well kept. The location on State Circle is very quiet. One downside is that they valet your car so you have waits to receive it back. I hope they consider telling people about a public parking lot a few blocks away which is less expensive and less of a hassle. The hotel does not have room service but does supply coffee and tea in the lobby.

Positives: The room was comfortable and nicely decorated.

Negatives: The location for check-in is not very convenient as the Circle is very tight on space.

It was nice to have a historic room in a historic location that was also very comfortable in "today" standards. I was impressed with the fact that I could look out my window at the first Capitol and that George Washington had actually resigned his commission there.

Positives: I loved the location. You could walk to any place we wanted to go in Annapolis.

Negatives: I was thinking that I didn't like the parking situation, but it worked out beautifully.

The Historic Inns of Annapolis couldn't have been in a nicer location! Beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of historic Annapolis within walking distance to U.S. Naval Academy, marina, shopping, dining, etc! The entire hotel staff was friendly, efficient and readily available. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable.

Positives: Excellent location.

Negatives: No pool.
