The pool closed too early.
Positives: I really did not like it other than the manager on duty was nice.
Negatives: No microwave and refrigerator, no continental breakfast offered.

The hotel is showing its age and the effects of the natural disasters that have occurred in New Orleans. The room had wallpaper that was peeling and the furniture handles were falling off. In the bathroom, the water in the shower would fluctuate from hot to cold and the toilet ran constantly during the stay. They did offer a free local shuttle. However, one day when I tried to use during there normal hours was told that it would not be running until later that day. On the morning of my checkout, I received a know on the door at 8am by the housekeeper to ask what time I was planning on checking out. I left my luggage with the concierge on the last day when I checked out. When I returned that evening, the concierge who doubles as the shuttle driver was out, and I had to wait nearly half an hour to pick up my bag.
Positives: Free Internet.
Negatives: Hotel in disrepair.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. As stated above the staff was very friendly and check-in and check-out were easy. The rooms were dated and there was no balcony furniture to enjoy the view. The hotel's location was convenient for the purpose of our trip. We were within walking distance of Canal street which was helpful considering taxi's were hard to come by.
Positives: The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was very friendly.
Negatives: The rooms were dated, my television didn't show a clear picture.

The hotel is in a bad location, far from the French Quarter and River! Every time we passed a room on our floor being cleaned they had flat screen TVs, microwaves, and refrigerators. Our room had none of that. The shuttle bus drivers were rude and not punctual.
Positives: Free Internet.
Negatives: The shuttle bus was a joke.

Located in a poorly lit, area of new Orleans. Never felt safe out at night, near our hotel. Staff was friendly enough, and the room was clean enough, but I wont be staying here again.
Positives: They accepted my bid.
Negatives: Sketchy area. Wouldn't feel safe walking around with my wife.

Rooms were nice and clean and decorated beautifully. The morning we left, the lady at the front desk was very helpful in getting us a taxi. Had a great time!
Positives: Staff very friendly, rooms clean and pretty, loved the pool.
Negatives: Little scary walking back at night from downtown but we should have caught the shuttle oops.

Hotel was neat. Just two short blocks from the French Quarter. I didn't appreciate having to pay extra to park in the hotel parking garage.
Positives: I really liked how friendly everyone was with the exception of the night desk clerk.
Negatives: I was not expecting to have to pay an additional $40.00 just to park my car.

Great location, just a couple blocks from Canal st., rooms with balconies, breakfast not free, it's $8.00 buffet.
Positives: Looked like all rooms had balconies for fresh air.
Negatives: Many military police housed throughout hotel.

Meets basic needs for an overnight stay. Not the cleanest or most updated however. Lounge in hotel closes too early & no restaurants/bars close by. Staff not very helpful at offering info on other options for meals/drinks other than that they have vending machines with snacks/colas on each floor :-(.
Positives: In our price range and fairly close to main highways.
Negatives: Still quite smelly after hurricane Katrina & not too many restaurants nearby.

There are much better and safer hotels in the French Quarter and the CBD for the same price. Parking was expensive for self-parking.
Positives: Jazz murals.
Negatives: Smelly, beggars outside doorway, gang hangout down the street.

Thought hotel was centrally located and helpful on commuting us back and forth through New Orleans Front staff (1 in particular) was extremely rude, didn't have any rooms ready at check in time Weren't even sure if had any rooms available at all.
Positives: good location
Negatives: unfriendly front desk rude on check in--didn't have a room avail. very rude staff

Rooms were nice. A little too far to walk to the quarter with children and not recommended to do so at night for safety reasons.
Positives: The room was very large and with a great bathroom area which included an extra vanity.
Negatives: A little further than we were led to believe from the French Quarter.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 11 Feb 2005 rated 8 out of 10.
Decent hotel for 2.5 stars. One needs to be aware that this is not right in the heart of the French Quarter. I ate in the resturant at least twice a day and enjoyed it.
Positives: Staff was good to work with
Negatives: Location. Not suggested if you do not know the New Orleans area

The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The rooms were very spacious, the bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and the balcony was a plus! Although the direct surroundings of the hotel don't look so impressive, don't be fooled, the area really isn't that bad. Everything was within a few blocks walking distance and the path back felt very safe- and this is coming from two 22 year old girls during the first weekend of mardi gras. The only downside was that you had to pay for parking, however, the fee was reasonable and the garage seemeed very secure. Overall good expereince, decent price, would stay again for sure! Oh, and very easy access to the interstate!
Positives: The room was very spacious and the location very convenient
Negatives: the surrounding area didn't look too nice, and must pay to park

The rooms are nice and clean. Hotel is close to French Quarter, but in a slightly shady part of town. Hotel parking was needlessly high. When asked, staff made no suggestion for any of the plenty of cheap alternatives around. During New Year's Eve, Shuttle service was shut down due to "traffic issues". There weren't any traffic problems; streets were desolate; we know because we had just walked the stretch!
Positives: Great rooms. Very clean. Friendly room service.
Negatives: Shuttle service deliberately shut down when most needed!
