My Garmin brought me to the Maintenance entrance to the facility a very narrow gated road with the gate open. I suggest a sign at the Denny's saying turn now for Marriott. I had missed the frontage road in front of the restaurant.
Positives: Clean, modern, reminded me of my house.
Negatives: Price of breakfast.

Clean, great atmosphere. I felt secure and welcomed.
Positives: I was traveling with a lot of tools and the hotel staff assured me it would be safe. and I felt it.
Negatives: Need more variety of cable stations and it took a long time to get hot water for the shower.

Good value for the price I paid on Priceline. There was a wedding the seconde night I was there-loud, cursing drunks next door to my room- but the first night I slept like a baby. Beds are very comfortable, I did not want to get out of bed.
Positives: Room service breakfast is good.
Negatives: Cigarette butts on balcony.

As mentioned, it took me about 15 to 20 minutes to carry my belongings from the car to the room. The hotel help stated that I could not use the baggage carrying cart unless they were employed to provide the service. It is my opinion for the cost of the hotel the carrying carts should be made available to customers without being charged.
Positives: The location
Negatives: Because I am challenged walking, it would have been great the use the baggage cart.

This is a beautiful hotel in need of some renovation. The big downside for me was the distance from the University of Kentucky.
Positives: Beautiful grounds, friendly staff.
Negatives: A bit run down, rooms are on the small side, bathrooms are ridiculously small.

We enjoyed staying here very much. The hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. I never sleep well in hotels, but at the Marriott Griffin Gate I did sleep good. The bed was very comfortable.
Positives: The beds were very comfortable.
Negatives: Nothing.

Easy to find and very clean. The room was a letdown with the uncomfortable memory foam mattress, small size and tiny bathroom. Apparently they don't enforce the any smoking policy, as we walked down the hallway; we smelled smoke outside several doors that were clearly marked no smoking, although our room didn't stink. A regular mattress would have made the stay a lot better.

Positives: Very clean, easy to find just off of 64.
Negatives: Memory foam mattress was awful, room was small, bathroom was tiny.

Great, even though far from a good chain restaurant, the hotel restaurant and service was great.
Positives: Just a first class experience.
Negatives: Too far from major chain restaurants.

We have stayed and will probably stay again at this hotel. It is in a good location with the rooms being excellent for the price.
Positives: The bed slept wonderful with amenities that were just icing on the cake.
Negatives: Loud guests in the next room.

Worst hotel for a 4 star hotel. Rusty rooms, I guess they only clean up during the Horse Racing season. It doesn't even qualify for 1 star.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Got worst experience. Bed was bad,

Great hotel, close to the highway without being too noisy. Seems like a place were people go for romantic get aways but was also very kid friendly. We had a great stay.
Positives: Upgraded room at no extra charge.
Negatives: Cost to use internet.

Location had good access into town, the grounds and surrounding area were beautiful. The exterior of the hotel looked great. The interior of the hotel and rooms looked dated and could do with some freshening up. The spa looked lovely although we didn't have time to appreciate that.
Positives: The grounds and exterior looked beautiful.
Negatives: Although our room was non-smoking, the smell was still there and looked dated.

Overall a great experience. Only minor thing is the commode needs a little adjustment to keep the water from continually running.
Positives: The bed felt great. Both my wife and I remarked how comfortable the bed was.
Negatives: Only complaint was that the commode would stick and the water kept running. You would have to work with the handle to get the commode to stop.

Two of my children went to the University in Lexington. I've visited frequently over the last 6 years. After my stay here, there was no need to stay anywhere else.
Positives: Everything. I've stayed here
Negatives: The hidden costs of the point club they sign you up for.
