Hotel was clean and convenient for our visit to the University of Northern Iowa.

This is not a 2 star hotel. It is a 1 star and no better. Room dirty, bathroom shower was horrible.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Room dirty, bathroom bad.

This hotel was horrible. The first room we got was filthy. There were half eaten cookies and cereal on the floor and stuff all over the ceiling. The 2nd room they put us in was a smoking room and had ashes everywhere and also had crumbs and cereal on the fool. We ended up making housekeeping come up to clean the room while we watched. I have never been so disappointed with a hotel than I did this time. Even though I got a good price, I still don't feel that the money I paid was worth it.
Positives: It was close to our destination.
Negatives: Rooms were filthy.

Adequate but I will go elsewhere if necessary to stop in Cedar Falls again.
Positives: The staff was friendly considering the mix-up with reservations.
Negatives: Breakfast was minimal, rooms were worn - college town type.

Good location and clean for the price, but please take away the smoking rooms! The first floor hallway smelled awful very smoky!
Positives: Convenient location and free breakfast.
Negatives: Still have smoking rooms.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. It smelled horrible, the bedding was dirty, and most of the lights/electrical outlets in my room did not work.
Positives: The location was good.
Negatives: It was disgusting, dirty and smelly.

Days Inn is not at all up to the standards of the others that I have stayed at. The room smelled of smoke and the carpet was dirty. The carpet throughout the whole place had stains. The bed squeaked. The room 2 doors down kept their door open and the people had 2 huge dogs and sat and smoked. Their smoke came out into the hallway. The rooms are not sound proof as I could hear the people next door.
Positives: It was in a convenient location.
Negatives: Smelled of smoke, noise from next room, 2 doors down had smokers with door open and dogs, carpet was dirty, room upstairs.

Substandard - hotel needs renovation. Staff was friendly, but sometimes noisy. This was a problem because they put me into a room just two door down from the lobby. Hotel staff and guests were noisy the first night. The staff tried to move me the second night. In addition, the cracked paint on the ceiling and walls, mould near the heating/cooling unit and some lack of cleanliness did not please me. On the other, the staff tried its best to make me feel at home. On the second night, they were much quieter, so I could sleep. The staff was very concerned also about me and about the condition of the rooms, which they admitted needed renovation.
Positives: I didn't like it at all.
Negatives: It was noisy and I didn't get much sleep the first night of my stay.

Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: No pool and nowhere to sit too eat breakfast.

It's an old hotel what need to be renovated. It's not a very clean hotel. The people working at the front desk are trying to do the best they can. They make the stay a little bit more comfortable.
Positives: The service from the front desk.
Negatives: The rooms, not clean, old.

It's old - some lights didn't work, bad smoking odor in room - had to wash all clothes taken into the room. We were staying there to go to our grandchild's H.S. graduation. Will not go there again!
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Couldn't get non-smoking room; breakfast bagel moldy.

Fire alarm went off three times in the night. Was told my front desk that it just happens sometimes. Wireless internet very, very poor. Would not stay connected. Ice machine did not work, was told it has a mind of its own. Told if I wanted ice I could cross the parking lot and go to the Holiday Inn and get some. I have stayed there this summer already and it had its problems also. Not going to stay at either one of these again.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Fire Alarm went off 3x's in night.

Out dated. It felt dark and oppressive. No security locks on outer side doors. Front desk looked like a kids lemonade stand. The ONLY thing this hotel has going for it, is the friendly staff!
Positives: Convenient location to University of Northern Iowa.
Negatives: The dirty, sticky phone and TV control. Poor security.
