Room was great. Hotel was setup for business and not leisure travel.

Positives: Location and cleanliness, staff also very helpful.

Negatives: You could tell it was built for convention and business travelers so it didn't have a relaxed feel.

An OK 4 star hotel, but a little dated and worn.

Positives: Good location and low price.

Negatives: Everything is a bit dated and little worn.

Best place I've stayed in a long time.

Positives: Updated and spacious rooms.

Negatives: Nothing

Excellent hotel, downtown (good and bad) location, very expensive when all the extras are included.

Positives: Excellent bedding, TV, and quality of room.

Negatives: Everything one can image is an extra charge at this hotel.

Overall, this hotel was great for its purpose. Valet was 30 dollars and allowed me access 24 hours. The room was very tidy, and I had my choice of floors. I was allowed to request a lower floor due to the high temps outdoors. The doorman offered directions and also broke my large bill to allow me to tip the valet. The only thing I'd like to see improve is the fan/exhaust in the bathroom. Without one, it was very steamy and uncomfortable.

Positives: The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond.

Negatives: There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom.

It was a nice, clean, quiet, and convenient to everything hotel. It was reasonably priced, but it was a rip off to have to pay for parking our car at the hotel. I think parking should be included with the hotel. There was no breakfast included and also we had to pay for using the Internet as some of the cheap motels have also breakfast and Internet included. WiFi was not included.

Positives: The hotel was at a great location in Indianapolis. It was walking distance to all the sports stadiums, IUPUI campus and the mall.

Negatives: The thing

The hotel was great and I have stayed here a multitude of times. However, if you are not a news channel or sports channel junkie, dont expect to watch TV. Of the 30 channels you get, 15 are either sports or news, which limits your viewing. Otherwise, I love staying here.

Positives: Great room!

Negatives: Air conditioning did not work.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 16 Jul 2011 rated 7 out of 10.

A beautiful lobby and spacious views inside the hotel. Not really kid friendly, but would be an excellent visit for business or romantic getaway. Like most hotels in this area, parking is at a premium. Otherwise a great value.

Positives: Beautiful hotel and lobby in great location.

Negatives: All extras cost extra. Parking is particularly pricey.

The Hyatt was a very nice hotel. Staff excessively friendly and helpful on multiple occasions. Many places to eat inside the lobby and within walking distance (including 24 hour). The room was clean with a lot of little things (mini fridge, very nice TV, a real desk for working, spacious bathroom). The mattress and pillows were wonderful. The view was nice from the 17th floor. Parking was $22 per night which is about normal for an upscale downtown hotel. Nothing really negative to say.

Positives: Location, cleanliness, friendly, access to restaurants, and fast elevators.

Negatives: Room was really nice, but smaller than expected for a four star.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 10 Jun 2011 rated 9 out of 10.

Comfortable and convenient.

Positives: Access to Convention Center and Circle Center Mall and Downtown attractions.

Negatives: Parking is inconvenient and expensive, Internet is not free.

I've stayed here before, and I will stay again. Very clean and the staff was very professional and friendly.

Positives: The price was very good. Thanks to Priceline.

Negatives: The bathroom was very dated. Ceiling tiles were not clean/crisp and the exhaust fan ran continuously.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The view was beautiful from our room. It overlooked downtown. The only things we did not like were the vending machines were not working and the tv did not have channels like TLC or HG TV. I also did not like that to get to the parental controls on the TV, I had to pass a preview of an adult channel. Not necessarily what I wanted my 16-year-old to see. Also, the parking garage is confusing so I would recommend valet parking.

Positives: The staff were friendly and helpful.

Negatives: The snack vending machines only took credit cards and they were not working because the network was down.

I am in hotel management and find it inexcusable for a front desk agent to let a phone ring around sixty times. I called down for directions 3 times and the phone rang almost twenty times each time. Front desk also had no idea what time some of the upscale restaurants open or close.

Positives: Hotel is clean and in a good location.

Negatives: Front Desk staff are not up to par for a 4 star hotel.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 18 May 2011 rated 9 out of 10.

Great location!

Positives: Great location, great bar downstairs.

Negatives: Some of the outside doors were locked, had to walk around in the rain.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 17 May 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

Great great hotel for business travelers, great restaurants & bars around, would highly recommend.

Positives: Homes are great, some of their staff are very friendly.

Negatives: Valet parking is $30.

An upscale hotel right in the heart of downtown. Caters to business travelers. The parking adds to the cost so beware!

Positives: The waterfall was great and towels at the pool.

Negatives: The pool was very cold so we couldn't use it with my two younest.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 25 Apr 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

Friendly attentive staff. Common areas and room were very clean. Restaurant was modern but pricey and food was barely warm. Restaurant - had problems with paying the bill no one was present, then waited extraordinarily long time for change to be returned.

Positives: Very clean.

Negatives: Room was small.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 13 Apr 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

Beautiful quiet room. I wish they had more/faster elevators. They were very crowded and there was a long wait.

Positives: Walking distance from the location where I was working.

Negatives: Bottled water in the room had a $3 price tag. I found it tacky.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 08 Dec 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Good location. Room was small and had a view of construction dumpster.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Wanted to use the pool. Water was green and the floor had algae growing on it. Snack machines did not work on any floor.

If you wish to be in the heart of Indianapolis for a reasonable price the Hyatt is not a bad choice. The grand scale of the lobby, the friendly staff and the location make it easier to overlook some of the tired aspects of the property. The view from our room was great and it was at the end of a quiet hallway. Also it had a shower instead of a shower/tub. I would prefer more rooms with a walk-in shower.

Positives: It is a great location and the rooms are decent.

Negatives: The linens are boderline terrible.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 27 Oct 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Cool personality of decor.

Positives: Excellent location.

Negatives: Parking charge excessive.

Would definitely stay again. Perfectly located, wonderful staff and extremely clean.

Positives: Very clean, extremely nice and helpful staff.

Negatives: I liked everything.

The hotel is very nice, and in a great location. The lobby bar was fun to relax in.

Positives: Lobby ambiance.

Negatives: Pricey parking.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 16 Sep 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

Very nice external appearance and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the rooms were small and uninspired. The bathroom in serious need of a face-lift. A 10 foot area in front of the HVAC vent over the bed was covered in lint/dust.

Positives: Very Friend front desk and location.

Negatives: The bathroom ceiling was mildew covered and the drop ceiling was disgusting.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 13 Jul 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

For the price I paid via priceline, this hotel was great. If I had paid the regular rate I would have been angry.

Positives: The location was great, reminded me more of a 3 star hotel though.

Negatives: The room was small and dark. AC did not work very well.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 12 Jul 2010 rated 1 out of 10.

I will never stay in another Hyatt! The room was dirty. We were charged $22 dollars for overnight parking! The front desk would not validate our parking ticket. It is a non-smoking hotel with zero easy access smoking areas. The staff was rude and very un-helpful. The elevators took for ever. To go from the top floor to the bottom took thirty minutes.

Positives: Not one thing.

Negatives: This hotel was ridiculous. They charged you for everything. Internet access even cost you!

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 11 Jul 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

I called and ordered special products to be delivered - this was a honeymoon night. We gave our credit information and ordered wine be delivered along with other amenities - we were guaranteed delivery, but they were never delivered. Very disappointing.

Positives: Comfort.

Negatives: Didn't accommodate as promised.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 01 Jul 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

The hotel was very nice. The room was clean, modern and well stocked. The public areas had plenty of seating and it was within walking distance of several nice restaurants. The room had a nice view and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We would recommend this hotel to others and you could not beat the priceline price we paid.

Positives: We were very pleased with the hotel. The room was modern, very clean, and well stocked. The taxis were just $5.00 a trip.

Negatives: I did not care for the parking cost of $22 for 24 hours or the $28 for valet service. It would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 10 Apr 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

I enjoyed my stay but I will not be staying at this hotel again, because they don't offer free Wi-Fi for their guests. It's bad enough in big cities you have to pay for parking, but to ask for $10 per day for Wi-Fi.

Positives: Nice location in downtown Indianapolis, and friendly staff.

Negatives: No

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 04 Apr 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Excellent hotel, great staff and
definitely will return.

Positives: Overall excellent hotel experience.

Negatives: The valet was no where to be found at 4:30 a.m. in the morning, had to go to front desk.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 04 Apr 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

The atmosphere was fun, but seemed lacking in activities. The location is by far the main selling point for this hotel. Our room had a 'musty' smell, despite turning on the AC and keeping the room at a lower temp (~68-70).

Positives: The location is great, very central in the downtown area.

Negatives: The quality of the King bed in the room was poor. Both my husband and I had trouble sleeping, waking each morning with backache.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 02 Apr 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Located in the heart of Indy, this hotel was a perfect location for a tourist traveler. It is connected to the mall and convention center by a sky-walk. Lucas Oil Field was only a couple blocks to the south. The interior of the hotel is very neat. It is completely open with a glass roof so it appears that you are outside.

Positives: Open interior was really neat, glass elevators had a water wall.

Negatives: My room smelled like there had been smoking in it.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 28 Mar 2010 rated 5 out of 10.

The hotel was nice, but I'd say almost too nice for our purposes. Parking was very expensive...half of what we paid for the hotel. For it being a nice hotel, I was disappointed in having to pay additional costs for internet, crib, and breakfast.

Positives: The staff was very friendly.

Negatives: The pool was out of order and it was very expensive to park.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 09 Mar 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Excellent hotel. Only bad experience was with the guy at check-out who was a bit of a jerk. Didn't seem like he had time for me. ALL of the other staff was incredible. Clean, quiet and at the city center.

Positives: Overall appearance was very upscale. Very quiet.

Negatives: The man at checkout was a bit of a snob. All the other guys were great.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 07 Mar 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Valet parking cost 28$ nightly super crazy, but to find a place to park in downtown Indy would have taken all night. The room itself was big enough didn't have a view and the room itself was showing the age of the hotel. Watermarks on the walls, aging calk in the tub, the phone by the bed didn't work, and the 10$ night wireless Internet was difficult to get. The hotel did it's job though for a place to sleep and the gym area wasn't too terribly busy or dirty.
Positives: Perfect location.

Negatives: You can see the age of this hotel.

Very clean. We had a nice veiw of the city having a nice view is something i always enjoy. It had a nice contempory feel. We enjoyed it.

Positives: The hotel staff was friendly.

Negatives: Parking was very expensive.

The hotel itself was great. Parking was horrible. There is a parking garage at the hotel when there is availability. When you do park at the hotel it is $20.00 per day. The hotel staff were not helpful or friendly!

Positives: Location downtown.

Negatives: Parking.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 09 Feb 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

I simply love staying at the Hyatt. With other downtown hotels I have had issues with noise during the night. The Hyatt has rock solid walls and you rarely hear any noises. It's convenient and the staff is super fiendly. Would highly recommend.

Positives: It was very quite.

Negatives: Wish the pool was a bit bigger.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 08 Feb 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Excellent, had a great time.

Positives: Location and sky walks.

Negatives: Not enough smoking rooms, not enough ashtrays in the smoking room.
