We stayed in the Napoli Tower in a partial ocean view room. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The restaurants and outdoor facilities were excellent. The staff was friendly, cordial, and helpful throughout the stay. Overall, we would highly recommend.

Positives: Great amenities and staff, clean rooms, nice views, great pool facilities.

Negatives: Construction on the hotel blocked some views from the lobby.

The hotel was wonderful, beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. They even had a crib which was wonderful! Right on beach, close to local towns and great staff.

Positives: Beautiful, open, friendly and helpful staff. Close to everything.

Negatives: Pricey restaurants, but it was expected.

Beautiful resort with excellent facilities, fantastic dining and pool, and rooms are really nice.

Negatives: Couldn't stay longer.

Very nice hotel. Great amenities, amazing pools and gardens. Employees are very motivated, efficient and kind. Location was good, but, I thought the northern part of Kauai was more amazing.

Positives: Dedicated, kind and friendly employees.

Negatives: Beach wasn't as spectacular as expected.

Great experience made even better by this wonderful resort. I would recommend the Hyatt Regency to anyone traveling to west Maui. You won't be disappointed.

Positives: Staff was very friendly and helpful, resort was well kept and beautiful.

Negatives: Pricey restaurants at the hotel and mandatory 25 dollar resort fee that wasn't advertised.

Free parking who does that nowadays.

Positives: 40 acres, lush & tropical.

Negatives: Resort fees, but understandable.

The hotel grounds are beautiful with birds, waterfalls, flowers, and the ocean sounds. The staff is very friendly and so helpful! My girls called the Hyatt a little piece of heaven, they loved it and spent all day in the pools.

Positives: Amazing grounds with flowers, birds, waterfalls and ocean sounds. My kids loved it! Staff is so friendly!

Negatives: Weird smell in the bathroom and water pressure in the shower was weak.

This is a beautiful hotel located beach front. They have a nightly luau that draws people from the neighboring hotels that was quite good. Beautiful restaurants available on site.

Positives: Great location and beautiful hotel.

Negatives: Parking situation was a bit unclear.

This was one of the nicest resorts that we have stayed at and got an ocean view upgrade for only $30 more per night. Sitting out on our Lanai at night, we could easily hear the music playing and the ocean sounds. Very relaxing.

Positives: Beautiful resort with many waterfalls and a great pool.

Negatives: Not good access for handicapped people.

Nice overall.

Positives: Nice pool.

Negatives: Club floor being remodeled, substitute club room awful, smelly, disgusting.

The hotel has fantastic grounds, a large pool with a kid area and a large "big-kid" slid. You can move from the pool to the ocean in less than a minute. You are next to other large properties with beautiful grounds, restaurants, and shopping.

Positives: The grounds were beautiful, along with the pool.

Negatives: A few times we could not find parking right away.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 19 Mar 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

The hotel itself has beautiful grounds and a beautiful atrium. Everything seems very well maintained. However, it is very large and when we were there seemed very busy and pretty noisy outside in the pool area. I think it would be a great place to bring kids on a vacation if you can get along without any kitchen facilities in the room.<BR/>Our room was a corner so bigger than the standard room. It was okay, had a comfortable bed, a small sitting area and 2 tiny balconies, really too small to do anything on other that look out. I would not stay here again, but would look for a smaller, quieter hotel with better facilities in the rooms.

Positives: Parrots, art in lobby.

Negatives: Swimming pool crowded and noisy, resort fee for almost nothing, no

I was charged a daily $15/day resort fee. This covered a newspaper, in room coffee packets, and access to the healty club. This cannot be refused.

Positives: Spectacular grounds.

Negatives: Saggy bed, small bathroom.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 19 Feb 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Too kid friendly, not separate couple space.

Positives: Lot of amenities.

Negatives: Too noisy, too many kids everywhere.

Great location, beach beautiful, large and clean hotel. Feel you should be able to use your own computer in room without charge. Only thing they would allow was airline ticket printout in lobby. Other major hotels allowed this, Sheraton, Kauai was next hotel on trip.

Positives: Good location, beautiful hotel, and large.

Negatives: Extra resort fee plus taxes on top of room rate, no free internet in room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 27 Jan 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

All things considered, I can recommend this hotel. It took me a day or so to appreciate all it had. At first, I was a little disappointed in the room. It's a little dated but the beds are nice and TV is excellent, the hotel amenities quickly made up for the room, loved the pools, ocean access, shops and surrounding hotels were fun too. Solid property.

Positives: Pools, grounds, location, shops, staff, very good &quot;concierge service&quot;.

Negatives: The unexpected daily resort fee, hard to get an ocean view.

This was a great hotel. I was on my honeymoon in Hawaii and been to 5 hotels and this was the best choice for me. Loved it. Gave us a bottle of champagne because we were on our honeymoon. Such a great experience. Very lively.

Positives: Great hotel, great service, and great food.

Negatives: Nothing.

I don't think it qualifies as a resort with a high price tag anymore. The pool saves the hotel really. But the beach is nonexistent. The room decor is very old and tired. There were little bugs everywhere in the room. The business facilities were poor and excessively priced 65 cents a minute for internet. I went to the Marriott down the street and used theirs for 20 cents a minute. The in-room internet TV was a good idea but unfortunately did not work!

Positives: I liked the pool. The staff was nice.

Negatives: The room had bugs. Room decor was old and tired. Beach is washed away.

Great pool and staff-room was not great. It smelled like mildew and had a view of the parking lot but the size was nice.

Positives: Loved the swimming pool and animals in the lobby.

Negatives: We were put in a basement room which smelled of mildew-assumed it was because of the price we paid for the room.

The outdoor exhibits and shopping facilities were excellent. The rooms were kept clean, well stocked and the cleaning staff were great. Front desk staff was friendly and tried to assist with any issues that may arise. The major negative we found was the resort was really crowded and the pool and beach areas were so busy that it was difficult to find a place to lounge or sit.

Positives: Great outdoor environments with amenities. Rooms were clean, well kept and good size.

Negatives: Pool and outdoor spaces were very crowded.

We loved that we got upgraded without even asking, was unsure if that would happen. We absolutely loved the pools, they truly are amazing! Loved that you could get out of the hot sun and enter the grotto for drinks and hanging out. And the food couldn't have been better at Umalu! We loved laying in the hammocks every night. The bed was super comfortable and the room was kept clean. Wished for a bigger bathroom though. The grounds were so lovely with all the art and statutes along with the wildlife. It was so soothing walking the grounds every night very zen! Every staff member greeted us with a warm Aloha when passing. We would not hesitate to stay here again! We loved it!

Positives: We loved the hotel grounds! Umalu was fabulous, we ate 3 meals there and every meal was amazing best fish tacos ever!

Negatives: Room needs a makeover, small bathroom and lanai could have used a light outside.

Positives: Very beautiful hotel.

Negatives: Hard to find hotel at night.

The Hyatt Regency at Kaanapali is a well appointed hotel in west Maui which features attractive gardens and public spaces and an extensive art collection throughout the hotel. There are many excellent dining options on site and the hotel is a short drive to Lahaina which has more restaurant options. Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable.

Positives: Hotel had an open and airy feel with well tended gardens and public space.

Negatives: Drink prices at the poolside bar were very high.

Negatives: Beach access not readily available.

Great hotel and everyone in my family had a wonderful time at the pool. The hotel had a awesome kiddie area for my 2 year and slides, caves for my 6 and 7 year. It keep them busy for hours! The staff was very helpful and nice. Would stay here again and again.

Positives: Great pool for kids of all ages. Nice staff and nice rooms with comfortable beds.

Negatives: The food was over price and could not order pizza in, also the $15 resort fee.

Upon check in, we were assigned to a partial ocean view room when I inquired the possibility of an upper floor room. The room is nice but the bed was too soft. The bathroom had sand on the floor when we checked in, the cleaning lady did remove it the second day. The furniture was shoring wear, the pull-out couch was not comfortable at all, and it would sag down. We ended up sitting in bed to watch TV.

Positives: Nice location and huge hotel with lots of grounds to walk around.

Negatives: Too big and long walk to the parking lot.

The location was great and the hotel is nice in general. The hotel charges $20 to park your car. They have free parking but it's full 90% of the time. The staff was very unresponsive to any requests. This hotel was horrible in this respect.

Positives: Hotel is well located.

Negatives: Staff was not very accommodating.

This hotel is perfect for kids ages 2 and up. The kids pool has a slide that my 2year old could go down! And a fun water area that is only 18" deep. No chicken strips by pool but did have nachos that were awesome! Service was great she even got lids for my kids sodas! Cant wait to go back!

This was a great hotel! The room was nice, clean and quiet. The hotel is located at the end of a row of hotels along the beach that were all well tended and felt very much like being in paradise. The "beach" area right in front of the Hyatt is rather small, but if you want that, you can just walk down to the beach in front of one of the neighboring hotels. The pools are amazing- 2 waterslides (one for "big kids", one for little kids), kiddies play area, waterfalls, swim up bar, not crowded at all. Poolside drinks were expensive, but if you were willing to walk to the convenience store within the hotel, you could get a beer for a decent price.

Positives: The hotel was beautiful, and the scenery was amazing.

Negatives: The parking lot got full at night and the alternate lot was a bit remote.
