Starting at Honolulu International Airport From the airport, take the H1 Freeway to Nimitz Highway Continue on Nimitz Highway, which turns into Ala Moana Boulevard. Turn right onto Kalakaua Avenue, just two miles past Ala Moana Mall. Turn right onto Royal Hawaiian Avenue. Proceed approximately two miles to Kalakaua Avenue. Approximately 25 minutes
