It was okay.
Positives: The price through Priceline.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. The late check out for $75 let us stay in our room until 6.

Front desk was not pleasant. Had to pay for a room upgrade. Upgraded to a room that was not ready yet. Laundry was $3.00 a load. Paid $12 to wash and dry two loads. I ended up paying extra for a decent size room.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Room was too small.

Friendly and helpful staff, liked the location, 1 block away from Starbucks and right across the street from the beach. We have stayed in that area many times and this was the best so far.
Positives: They upgraded us to a Jr. suite with part. ocean view.
Negatives: Paying so much for parking $30, but in and out privileges.

Exceptional value for the price! The location, the accomodations, the friendliness of the staff exceeded my expectations. The food at the hotel's steakhouse was exceptional.
Positives: Friendliness of staff and location were great.
Negatives: $30.00/per day parking expense for hotel guests.

Nice amenities, very friendly and helpful staff, great location, and a well-maintained lobby.
Positives: The location is at the quieter, eastern end of Waikiki, and just across from the beach. It's easy to find. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Negatives: Nickel and diming for Internet use and local calls at a somewhat expensive rate.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 06 May 2011 rated 8 out of 10.
Expensive parking, and city view is really a parking lot view. Other than that, hotel is descent.
Positives: Location was in the quieter section of Waikiki.
Negatives: You start with a dumpy room with a view of parking lot and need to pay for an upgrade.

The hotel is in a great area of Waikiki. It is within easy walking distance of all the major sights. The rooms look recently renovated and include a flat screen TV. All staff is very friendly, helpful, and full of island charm.
Positives: Excellent location and room.
Negatives: Outrageous parking fee of $30 a night.

I am concerned that since we booked, the hotel placed us in a room with a view of their parking garage, when their hotel was surrounded by both mountain and ocean views. Overall, the room was a typical Marriott room. However, unlike the other resorts in the area, this hotel was not directly on the water, however it was in a great location. I would stay here again, if there were rooms available away from the garage.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Our room had a view of the parking garage.

Great location and friendly service. Cheaper rate than other hotels for view of ocean. Surroundings around the area is question mark for safety at late night though.
Positives: Big, clean and
Negatives: Smiles at front desk staffs would be a bonus.

Great location on best part of Waikiki.
Positives: I liked that there were no resort fees.
Negatives: I get why it's called a "resort". But compared to other resorts around the world. Not really.

Expensive parking, expensive Internet and local phone calls. Parking, local phone calls, and Internet should be included at this price and 4-stars. There are two huge towers. After check-in you might have to hike to the next tower which is far away. The balcony is not suitable for kids.
Positives: Nice enough rooms, nice decor.
Negatives: Expensive parking, expensive Internet and local phone calls. The balcony is not suitable for kids.

Wonderful hotel, we love Marriott's. Six elevators, so wait time was minimal. Very helpful staff.
Positives: Clean, friendly, cheerful wonderful staff.
Negatives: The drinks at poolside were watered down.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 30 Aug 2010 rated 5 out of 10.
The rooms were clean, but dated and we got the 7 floor view of the parking structure.
Positives: It's on the strip.
Negatives: At end of the strip.

The hotel is very clean and well kept. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a very good breakfast and dinner buffet with a good variety of food. I would stay again.
Positives: Very clean and fresh. Close to most activities.
Negatives: The pool could have been larger. Very small for the size of hotel.

It is a beautiful hotel that does not feel as huge as it is. The view from my suite on the 33rd floor was nothing short of spectacular.
Positives: kindness of desk clerk who gave me an unforgetable experience.
Negatives: long line at check-in
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 23 Jul 2010 rated 8 out of 10.
Better than most hotels in Waikiki. The pool was on the 3rd floor which made it a lot nicer than a ground floor pool like most of the other hotels.
Positives: Good facilities and location.
Negatives: Toilet bowls are only for women and children, really bad for men.

The hotel would have been excellent if we had had a different room, we couldn't sit on the balcony all morning long because delivery trucks came all morning long and it was very loud. We were offered an upgrade for $60.00 per night, but turned it down! The ocean view would have been fabulous, nightly entertainment by the people was wonderful!
Positives: The property was excellent, pools were great.
Negatives: Our hotel room location. Deliveries all morning and very loud.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 24 May 2010 rated 10 out of 10.
A very lovely hotel. Excellent atmosphere in the lobby and all common areas. Staff extremely nice.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Parking was too expensive, wish I had known about the rates before hand.

From the time you enter you know you're in a resort. The entertainment by the pool at night was great and the bartenders were friendly.
Positives: Clean, comfortable and everything was great.
Negatives: The fees to use the internet.

Check-in was uneventful and staff was friendly. Parking, however, was outrageously priced (28/night in the hotel) - park elsewhere. The room we had was in the 'K-Tower' but unfortunately overlooked the parking garage, and was directly in front of a large cooling tower. We were told the room had a queen bed, but I disagree - it was more like a full plus/queen light. Adequate for 2 people, but slightly more narrow than a queen-sized bed. It had a refrigerator, in-room safe (at no additional charge), and a hairdryer and iron/ironing board. The main caveat was that were on the 8th floor overlooking the parking garage and a large cooling tower - hardly the city-view we paid for. Nevertheless, we didn't go to Hawaii with the intent of staring out our window, so the point was moot to us. Just be aware that you might get these rooms. There are 2 pools in the hotel - the main one had cabanas to rent and was the most crowded. We went to the smaller pool, which was a salt-water pool (very nice). If you smoke (I don't), be prepared to be relegated to a small corner on outside deck. The restaurant Sensei was very good and the wait staff was very friendly. Go early to take advantage of discounted sushi. Overall, I would stay here again, but would try and get a room with a better view.
Positives: Location was good, staff was friendly, and rooms had refrigerator.
Negatives: Room assigned overlooked parking garage and was facing large cooling unit.

The hotel is located in a great location at the Diamond Head end of Kaulakaula Blvd, overlooking Waikiki Beach and steps away from the Honolulu Zoo. That being said, the property is simply dated. The rooms were small and cramped. Our room looked directly into the HVAC system but you get what you pay for there. Bathrooms were very small. The amenities, other than the large flat screen TV and audio visual set up system, seemed fairly ordinary. Not what you expect at a "resort" level hotel. Parking was absurd. While the valet parking was excellent, it was more expensive that other hotels in the area. Self park was also expensive compared with other hotels in the area and the parking garage narrow, difficult and filled quickly at night. I would not recommend this hotel except for location because I think there are better choices at this price point.

Positives: The hotel restaurant Sansei was excellent.
Negatives: The rooms were small and not worth the price.

The staff were polite to ask me if I wanted to stash my surf board in the closet downstairs but it took a long time to even get a bell boy that we just decided to take it to our room. It was quicker than the bell boy. Overall, I would've preferred to stay else where.
Positives: It wasn't super crowded.
Negatives: They charged $28 per day to self park, the Waikiki Banyan across the street charges only $10 per day.

The one nice thing that I have to say about the hotel is that it had a decent location. Other than that the room was dirty and we had to call on the third day to at least get some clean towels and have our trash emptied. The city view room means that you will be looking at the inside of a parking garage! Buyer beware.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Dirty and misrepresented. Don't be fooled by the brochure!

It's cheap but the location of our room is bad. It's next to the elevator. Moving sounds of elevator was very noisy. Except that, everything is okay.
Positives: Location is good. It's cheap by using Priceline.
Negatives: It looks like, interior is out of fashion.

I loved the location of the hotel since it is across the street from the famous Waikiki beach.(two kids, 12 and 5). It is very clean, staff was very helpful and nice. We got upgrade for no extra charge since it didn't have the room we booked for.
Positives: Friendly staff, clean and good location to the beach.
Negatives: Parking is too expensive.

The staff was very helpful. Location was great. The two pools were a little small, but very nice. Our room was a nice size with a comfy bed and big size TV. Pretty quite for the most part. The walls are pretty thin, at times we could hear the people next to us. I would recommend this hotel to any of our friends.
