It was a pleasure surprise to find a nice hotel with high quality of services for such a short noticed. This is my first time of using priceline. Thank you very much.
Positives: Excellent customer services, especially the young Japanese (sorry, I forgot her name) customer service at Front-Desk. She is very polite and helpful.
Negatives: N/A

The 2 bed rooms only contained double beds, difficult for a family to stay in. During the strike we lost maid service for 4 days. We reported the elevator noise that grew steadily loader each day but nothing was done about it.
Positives: Open courtyard was very pleasant.
Negatives: Striking hotel workers were a major distraction.

The hotel was nice and clean, but very busy. For a 3.5 star, the bathroom in the room should have been updated and was dated. The pool was out of order. There was construction going in front of the hotel. The staff was very helpful.
Positives: The hotel was in the center of Waikiki and within walking distance.
Negatives: The hotel was very busy all of the time. Did not provide a relaxing environment.

Even though the hotel is under a lot of renovation, they try their best to accommodate us.
Positives: Very friendly staffs, our stay went smoothly no complaints.
Negatives: The hotel is under renovation.

Great location, facilities and amenities are good, but the rooms need renovation.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Rooms are old, bathrooms need renovation.

We were originally booked in a room off the elevator; if you are stuck with that one, complain vociferously, because you won't be able to hear yourself think. They upgraded us to a room in the Regency level with a full-on ocean view, and there is probably nothing better in Waikiki.
Positives: Everywhere you want to be.
Negatives: A $35 daily parking fee.

This is a great hotel with a very attractive location.
Positives: Loved the hot tub and the service near the pool area.
Negatives: The pool itself was way too small for a hotel of this size and caliber.

Lovely hotel and excellent location. Staff was very responsive. However, sleeping in the room "behind the elevator" was continually interrupted by what sounded like a jet plane taking off. We were moved to another room, but the thermostat did not work in this room either. At night, the temperature went to 65 degrees even when it was set to 73. Maintenance promised to fix it, but never did. This made our stay less than pleasant. We moved to another hotel further down the beach and found it to be much more comfortable.
Positives: The location was fabulous.
Negatives: The room was noisy (from the elevator) and cold (thermostat was never fixed.)

Most of our time was spent waiting for an elevator, or for a seat at a restaurant. The hotel offered no help and all. $30.00 a day for self parking on the 8th floor and 10 min from our room. The non smoking room smelled like smoke. The room was next to the only working elevator which rattled the whole room 24 hrs a day, no no no no way would I recommend this hotel to anyone.
Positives: It was close to the beach and the pool staff was great.
Negatives: Not relaxing at all. Too many people everything was most of them were rude. not worth the money.

Excellent location near beach and shopping centers. Overall great facilities and amenities. Pool is too small, mainly for kids. But with the ocean and the beach near by, who needs the pool.
Positives: Upgraded room provides good ocean view (have to pay more than the bid price though) Easy access to the beach. Excellent facilities.
Negatives: Maid service was unsatisfactory. One maid was particularly unfriendly.

Other than the 2 rude staff, I would stay there again. The price was $30.00 more than I wanted to pay. Pool area and staff were excellent. Room with a great view, upgrade was included. Parking for $30.00 a day was extremely excessive.
<BR/>
Positives: Restaurants, pool area, and room with a view.
Negatives: 2 staff members were extremely rude. $30.00 a day for parking? Way too much!

Good location. Very professional staff. They upgraded my room to a quiet mountain view. Modern clean room. Terrace Restaurant a disappointment for food, but good service. Great location. Good complementary gym.
Positives: Good staff with a great attitude. Nice updated clean rooms.
Negatives: The Terrace Restaurant served pre mixed ice tea from a dispenser. It would be like cheap instant to coffee lover. Waiters were professional though.

We got there and were put in a room right next to the elevator on the lowest floor possible (even though, I specified in my reservations that I did not want a room by the elevator because my husband is a light sleeper, and I had read how noisy the elevator can be if your room is right by it). The woman at the counter told me they were completely booked and there was nothing she could do about it; I insisted that I was not going to stay in the room she tried to give us, and she magically found a new room for us in the opposite wing. When I told her that I called well ahead of time to specify that I did not want a room by the elevator. I also called down to the lobby a couple of times to get information on shuttles, etc, and they always acted put out that they had to help me, so I finally stopped asking. On our first night there, there was a fire alarm: not one person from the hotel was visible during this time. There was mass chaos with everyone trying to evacuate the hotel. Then when we were allowed back one, we didn't see one person from the hotel helping to direct traffic or usher people back into the hotel. Again, mass chaos ensued. It was absolutely horrible. I have been to Oahu approximately 10 times, and I have to say, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Other than the terrific location of the hotel, everything else was horrible. They put in a lot of money to renovating the lobby and common areas of the hotel, but absolutely nothing into renovating the rooms (our room had a popcorn ceiling!). Needless to say, I will never come back, and I'm going to suggest to my friends and co-workers that they not stay here as well.
Positives: Location was fantastic!
Negatives: Rooms were extremely outdated and just plain ugly.

I thought the Hyatt on Waikiki was overall very good, nice & clean rooms (we got upgraded because it was our honeymoon) and in a great location right in the middle of Waikiki, and next to all the shops (lots of shops were also in the hotel). It was nice that car rental agencies were in the hotel as well. The only thing I did not like too much was the pool area. While the area was very pretty, the pool was way too small for the size of the hotel (or any hotel for that matter!). Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this hotel for its great location right in Waikiki!
Positives: I like its location on Waikiki Beach and near the main attractions.
Negatives: I thought the pool was too small for the size of the hotel.

Hotel is in a great location. Clean rooms and beautiful hotel overall. Very friendly and accommodating staff! Allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel even after we checked out because our flight wasn't leaving for a few more hours.
Positives: Very friendly and accommodating staff!! Gave me a complimentary upgrade to ocean view room!!
Negatives: Valet parking is expensive.

I liked the ground facilities and felt that they looked very upscale. The room was clean, but the bathroom looked somewhat dated. The personnel were very attentive and friendly. The pool was very small and the pool area didn't have enough area for lounging. The valet parking was convenient but expensive. The fitness center was very modern and clean. Overall, my experience at this hotel was very good but not quite what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.
Positives: Service was great and personnel were very helpful and friendly.
Negatives: Parking was very high and bathroom looked dated.

Great location right across from the famous Dukes statue. Unbelievable view of the beach!
Positives: Loved the location, view, and very friendly staff.
Negatives: Wish the beds were a little more plush for a resort hotel.

Nice hotel for the all around traveler. Business, family or the leisure traveler.
Positives: Great restaurants and very friendly staff.
Negatives: Layout was confusing.

For the most part, I loved this resort. It is right in Waikiki Beach area, you only have to walk across the street. Our room had a great balcony view of the beach and Diamond head state park. The bed is very comfortable, the restaurant has a great breakfast buffet and the breezeway dining is very relaxing. The fountains and flowers are gorgeous and the staff was all very helpful. The only slight problem we had was that our room was very close to the elevator and my husband is a very light sleeper and it occasionally woke him up, but everything else was wonderful.
Positives: Beautifully furnished, very comfortable bed with a beautiful balcony view.
Negatives: Our room was close to elevator & sometimes disturbed your sleep, difficult to find at night.

Not on the beach. Only provided public access to beach with no real resort options for the use of the beach.
Positives: The room was nice.
Negatives: I didn't like walking through a mall every time I went back to my room.

I enjoyed with water views, nice rooms and beds. Staff was very helpful, only restaurant breakfast was over priced and I did not enjoy with food. Pool was small for swimming but hot tub was good.
Positives: Clean, good price, good location and friendly.
Negatives: Everything was great.

I would recommend this hotel to any couple going to Waikiki, and wanting to stay a a excellent hotel for a decent cost. The breakfast buffet was too expensive, but everything else was top notch. I will stay there again.
Positives: It is located exactly where you want to be on Waikiki. Everything is walking distance.
Negatives: The pool is small, but you have the ocean 100' away so it does not matter too much. I personally would have liked a larger pool.

Would be extremely happy if I got to stay here again!
Positives: Location, upgrade, and view!
Negatives: The parking rate $33 + tip a day.

First class with great location! The price was unbelievable.
Positives: Location and quality with outstanding price.
Negatives: It was a bit noisy as back up alarms on delivery trucks, etc. were regular wake up calls.

Hyatt quality - would stay again recommend ocean view rooms.
Positives: Professional, friendly, clean, and willingness to please.
Negatives: Small pool.

Staying here I felt like I was getting a room in a mall. Never really felt like a resort. It did not have a resort feel nor the adequate size pools and hot tubs that would make you feel like it was more than a place to sleep after shopping. In Maui there are shops but they feel separate from the resort. More as a service but not part of the building. You had to go through and past retail to get to your rooms here.
Positives: Location was good.
Negatives: Parking was over priced, pool was totally inadequate for the size and location of the hotel.

I felt I received extreme value for the price I paid.
Positives: Large rooms and willingness of staff to be flexible to make the stay pleasant ie. early check in and late check out.
Negatives: The hotel parkade was just awful! It was poorly designed and accident prone.

Every year for the past six years my wife and I travel to Honolulu to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This hotel was the first to not recognize the celebration and they gave us a room next to the elevator. I just had ear surgery last month and the noise was very loud.
Positives: I have nothing good to say.
Negatives: The room was horrible.
