If you are a young traveler who wants to be in the thick of the noise and action, with good access to the beach, it's great. If you are a middle-aged, more discriminating traveler, it may not be the perfect fit for you. The room was okay clean, but the bathroom is small with no place to put anything. The tub was not "bathing" quality clean but shower pressure is excellent. It was a low-ceilinged, small room that was claustrophobic for me. Upsides are refrigerator (hidden in dresser) and decent TV. I expected more for that star level, but my teens were completely okay with it. Only two people per room, though. Four would be a TIGHT squeeze! Oh, and a comment on that spectacularly obnoxious elevator system: it may be fast, efficient, and a modern marvel, but you need a 30-minute training course to operate it if you are over 40, and they give you a 10-second course....the tech savvy teens will figure it out on their own. The lobby is on the 3rd floor, so you take the elevator to 3rd and then an escalator to ground. It's a big deal to get in and out of Aston Waikiki!
Positives: It is very convenient on Waikiki Strip and a few steps across the road to the beach + has a Wolfgang Puck's fast-food downstairs.
Negatives: The ceilings are too low, the noise too loud with crazy wind whistling, and a complicated elevator security system.

For a Waikiki beach hotel it is an excellent value with a wonderful location and a sufficient number of amenities. The location is phenomenal, right across from the beach with lots of dining choices with a couple of blocks. Breakfast is offered every morning with a backdrop of live Hawaiian music and a hula dancer, a really special touch. The Tikki bar is also a lot of fun with live music every night. But the rooms are rather spartan so if you're going to Waikiki to spend a lot of time in your room, go elsewhere, however, if you want to be in the center of the action, stay here.
Positives: Location. For the location and the price it is an excellent value.
Negatives: Rooms are rather plain and dated. The hotel could use a remodel.

Very nice location with fantastic view. Hotel staff was very friendly. The elevators were not at all slow as I had read in other reviews, they have a unique system in order to get everyone up and down with minimum waiting. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning with the soothing Hawaiian music and Hula dancing!
Positives: Great location, The view from our lanai was awesome!
Negatives: The room was a bit small and a bit crowded.

Negatives: Parking.

Would not stay there again. No coffee maker in room. Upholstery dirty on chair. Hair on bath tub. Had iron but no ironing board. Reserved partial ocean view. Discussed with hotel personnel- told if I stood on my (2 foot wide) balcony and leaned my head out
and looked to the R; I could see the ocean. All I could do was laugh.Free breakfast was rolls, juice
and coffee. Elevators were fine
and the
good security. Bed was comfortable. Hotel clerk was courteous
and registration was smooth. Hotel was not what I was use to staying at
and I would not recommend it.
Positives: Convenient to the beach.
Negatives: Free breakfast was not good. Ocean view rm-stand on balcony

We stayed on the sevententh floor on the west side and the view was fantastic. Sunset, Surfers, Boogie boarders, Swimmers all right in front of you from the balcony. The room was small for a family of four, not much room to move around luggage.
Positives: Access to the beach and shops was fantastic, the view from tho west side was worth a million dollars.
Negatives: Everything you need costs extra, safe, pool towels, excessive valet charges.

Positives: The view from our 8th floor room was awesome!
Negatives: Nothing!

You can't charge to your room at the pool or restaurant. No coffee in room. Bathroom was small and unclean. Elevators were being worked on so service was slow. Wouldn't stay here again.
Positives: Car valet was efficient.
Negatives: No room service, elevators are terrible.

Positives: The room.
Negatives: No parking.

In a good location, just changed the name again, maintenance is poor as lots of ice with machines not working. Rooms were not cleaned very well, I feel that they are cutting back on help, but still selling there rooms to make as big a profit as possible and customers expense.
Positives: The valet people did a outstanding job with my car.
Negatives: Very poor maintenance, elevators are the worst of any hotel.

The hotel price was reasonable, the stores and the beach was close to the hotel, the staffs were polite, and the best thing about this hotel was the breakfast, was yummy and the music and the fra dance during breakfast time was awesome!
Positives: Very close to the beach, and the breakfast is included.
Negatives: Nothing.

Overall experience was great.
Positives: The location was excellent. The staff was great. The room was very clean.
Negatives: The decor in our room was gaudy. The carpet in hallways was really bright and unattractive.

It is a very nice hotel, on Waikiki beach, who can complain? It was beautiful every day, the doorwall to the balcony stayed open 24/7, really it was just beautiful. Non-smoking law in
any building in Hawaii was a bit of a problem, but I was outside most of the time anyway, because it is actually Waikiki Beach and you don't go there to sit inside.
Positives: They did give me a great room, suite on the top floor overlooking the beach.
Negatives: 9.95 per day for internet access, free in most other hotels I stay in.

Funky elevators but you're in Hawaii. The breakfast was a little unusual but very convenient. The room was tidy but very small. Partial ocean view was delightful.
Positives: Breakfast and location.
Negatives: Small room, tight.

We always noticed that our hotel looked like it was the funniest place on Waikiki. There was live music every morning and night, and the Tiki restaurant and bar was amazing. Our bed was comfy, the room (although small) looked nice, and the view was great! The staff members were friendly and helpful, and while it was pretty far down the Waikiki strip, it was still a close walk to everything needed. While not business friendly, the resort guest made it tons of fun for leisure travelers and families alike!
Positives: Tiki restaurant and bar was the greatest! We also loved breakfast at the beach.
Negatives: Room was small, and the lobby bathrooms weren't always clean.

I highly recommend Resort Quest Waikiki. While in Honolulu, we tried 2 other hotels and found we liked Resort Quest's location, room decor, food and friendly guests the best.
Positives: Breakfast on the beach provided yummy, abundant breakfast choices.
Negatives: It is very noisy offers loud music often.

The hotel was very pretty outside. The bed spreads and the balcony were the best parts of the room. My husband loved the plasma and the movies that he could rent. The pool was to small. So ended up opting for the beach. Which was awesome because it was so close. The hotel staff was not friendly but luckily we did not have to interact with them much.
Positives: The breakfast in the morning.
Negatives: Using keycards in the elevator.

Great location across the street from the beach. Entertainment during part of the complimentary breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Quieter than most of the other beach locations we've tried. There is lots of construction currently on Waikiki.
Positives: Great location across the street from Waikiki public beach.
Negatives: The buffet breakfast ran out of almost all items over 30 minutes before the scheduled end time.

The rooms were very clean but very small with no room to open our luggage. We didn't like paying $20 a day for parking then needing to tip the attendant every time we wanted our car. We loved having a little complimentary snack cooler to get our breakfast to go. The live music and Hula girl at breakfast were a pleasant surprise. It was very located in the center of everything which was great. I sensed the staff was stressed. Overall, we liked our stay.
Positives: I liked the convenience to the beach and shops of Waikiki and cleanliness. Friendly garage staff. Breakfast by pool.
Negatives: Long wait for elevators, restaurant music reaching 19th floor, $20 valet parking, noise from hall. High crab breakfast.
