We had a great experience overall. Valet parking was the only thing that was overpriced, but the valet staff itself was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and inviting, view was nice.
Positives: Convenience, luxuriousness, knowledgeable, and cleanliness.
Negatives: No fan in the bathroom and pool was not heated.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 09 Aug 2011 rated 5 out of 10.
Hotel was pretty much living up to my expectations until I went to get in the shower. The water was not going down the drain and by the time my friend finished in the shower, the water was going up to her calves. I called down to the front desk and explained that I could not take a shower due to the standing water. The guest services associate basically asked me what I wanted to do about it. She didn't even offer an apology and asked if I wanted to speak with the manager for some sort of compensation. I just wanted the problem fixed and she was acting if I was out to get something. I was checking out that day so I didn't even bother anymore, but it is a shame that you stay in a 4 star hotel and can't even take a shower.
Positives: The room view and public areas of the hotel were very nice.
Negatives: Staff was not overly friendly and did not do much to solve an issue.

The hotel is very nice, however, I think that it is ridiculous to have to pay for everything. An extra $21.00 per day for parking. Television channels were poor and the prices to order old movies ranged from $16.00 and higher. Ridiculous. There was no microwave or refrigerator, so you always had to order out.
Positives: I love the cleanliness and professionalism.
Negatives: You have to pay for everything, parking, Internet, ridiculous movie prices, no fridge and microwave.

Great.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Price to park - would be best on 24 hour rotation instead of one night stay until 3:00 p.m. - $21 + extra for every 2 hours.

I stay at Hilton properties a lot. For a contemporary, cosmopolitan city such as Atlanta, you'd expect the Atlanta Hilton to be the flagship of all the Hilton properties in the area. It is not, unfortunately. I have a feeling that it was, back in the <BR>90s. Although the furniture was in-line with today's Hilton's, the rooms/carpet/bathrooms need some serious updating. <BR>Fairly noisy since it was the weekend and local families were doing the on-town vacation thing, but I didn't mind. I had room service, and it didn't reflect at all what was available in the restaurant. I was in Atlanta for a week, and had planned to stay at the Hilton for the duration, however the expensive internet and parking turned my good deal into something too expensive (for what I was getting). I usually get free internet per my Honors membership, but not here. I moved to a Hilton Garden Inn that was hands down superior to the downtown Hilton; an outdated hotel you would expect would be much nicer. Really needs updating. Staff is friendly, but like another reviewer noted, the Honors desk people didn't seem to care that people were waiting while they took their time.
Positives: Downtown location. Comfortable beds. Fast check-in.
Negatives: Outdated. Parking and internet rather expensive.

Great location, great staff, enjoyed our stay.
Positives: The staff was great! Loved the Bell Hops, always helpful.
Negatives: Price on parking a little high.

The hotel staff were generally unfriendly, parking is not conveniently numbered, so you better be sure which elevator you get off of to get to your car.
Positives: The friendly staff at the restaurant.
Negatives: There was litter all around the hotel, housekeeping did not respect the do not disturb sign.

Would love to stay there again.
Positives: It had everything.
Negatives: Parking was expensive.

Acceptable overnight stay. Would not recommend long term.
Positives: Valet services were excellent.
Negatives: Noisy - hard to relax secondary to outside of door noises.

Great location. Sky bridges connect local hotels, conference centers, and mall so you can avoid the heat, panhandlers, etc on the streets. Staff seemed a little disjointed, but no major problems.
Positives: Location, especially the sky bridges connecting neighboring hotels and other locations.
Negatives: There was some kind of a problem on checkin, the girl checking me in called someone and asked for help to find "any room". No hotel guide in room.

The Hilton Atlanta is an attractive choice for those parties that do not want to rent a car. It is an easy walk to the CNN Studios, Coca Cola, the Aquarium, and Centennial Park. In addition to the hotel restaurants, there are food courts and several restaurants close by. The Marta station is close by allowing for easy access to the other areas of Atlanta including the airport. The room are spacious and the beds comfy. I stayed on the 25th floor which provided a beautiful view of the city.
Positives: The location was within walking to tourist attractions and the MARTA.
Negatives: The maid service was poor.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 08 Jun 2011 rated 9 out of 10.
Awesome! So fun everything we needed was right there and very friendly.
Positives: Very quite and very friendly.
Negatives: The coke machine didn't work, and no fridge.

Great location and 2 blocks from Peachtree street. I have stayed at this hotel before about 20 years ago and it looks like it had a renovation which looks great! The hotel was very clean, very convenient and the employees were great, nice and extremely helpful and pleasant. When I arrived the computer system was down but the desk representative was extremely pleasant called and quickly received my room assignment and I was on my way. The room was perfect and the executive floor perks are great too! Great job Atlanta Hilton!
Positives: Very convenient, very clean, employees very pleasant and extremely helpful great hotel in a convenient location.
Negatives: The restaurant didn't have the best selection for me, but there were 3 others to choose from.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 06 Jun 2011 rated 5 out of 10.
I don't think this was at all a 4 star hotel.
Positives: Rooms were clean.
Negatives: It was like a vacated place. I understood why the offer was accepted. They needed the business.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 03 Jun 2011 rated 4 out of 10.
Great location. I got a great price and would stay again for that price. Also, the garage is very low and their valet service was full or not operating at the time of stay.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Pool was not supervised and grown people splashing.

Hotel is clean. Super friendly staff!
Positives: Super friendly staff!
Negatives: Not enough towels in the bathroom.

I had better expectations of the "HILTON". The hotel lobby was nicely decorated and the staff were very polite. I could feel the southern comfort. Once we arrived in the hotel room i was disappointed. The bathroom had no exhaust, and a refrigerator cost $15. Parking was $21 per night. The pool is on the 6th floor roof and none is inside. The view of Atlanta was good though.
Positives: The staff were very polite and knowledgeable.
Negatives: Parking was $21 per night. No exhaust in bathroom. Fridge cost $15.

We found the hotel parking structure, parked, got out of the car, and it went downhill from there. The parking structure must be under renovation, as we could not find the entrance to the hotel. There was no signage for how to get into the hotel, and it was really creepy at night. We got into the elevator, and were lost for a good few minutes. All we saw was concrete walls and signs for other buildings. We registered with friendly folks, but there were no city guides available. I needed to print my city pass ticket; had to pay almost $0.50/minute for Internet on a slow computer and pay to print. My $75 city pass wound up costing me an extra $12 from the hotel. The phone in our room had buttons for wake-up time, etc - none worked. We had to call the front desk for a wake-up call... and did not get our wake-up call, causing a 2 hour delay to our start on Saturday. Also, we had leftovers to eat for lunch (to save on lunch cost), but there was no mini fridge in the room. No complimentary breakfast, though there is a bad food cart available. Also, a Starbucks is there, and I would recommend that vs the food cart. The location was very walkable to World of Coke, the Aquarium and CNN. The walk was safe, and I did not feel scared even at night. We walked through the Marriott Marquis on our way home, and found a very helpful stand there. The Marquis desk had 3 City guides, and upon talking with their staff, they gave us a walkable restaurants guide. Complete with type of cuisine - so great! Also, the Marquis had more restaurant options, and they were open later than the Hilton. On the way home, we appreciate that they put the parking on the bill, but there was no mention of the additional $30, per day, fees for state and city tax. With $21 per day parking. Overall, if I did the trip again, I'd stay at the Marquis.
Positives: Next to the Marriott Marquis; upstairs bar good view & drinks; within walking distance of most things; safe and
Negatives: Price was way more than anticipated; no refrigerator; cost for Internet (in room), computer Internet (in hub) and printing; not worth it.

Conveniently located near the downtown area.
Positives: Location was close by where I had to go.
Negatives: The suite upgrade was not worth the money I spent. They ran out of oversize parking area for SUVs.

Good night sleep.
Positives: Comfortable beds.
Negatives: Room a little small.

While the decor is a bit dated, the hotel staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Upon check in, I was given a map and thorough directions to find my way around. When returning to my room in the evening I needed to change rooms because of a smell in the room. The front desk attendant literally ran down the hall with a key to a new room.
Positives: Excellent front desk service.
Negatives: Decor very dated.

Hotel was very nice and convenient. Valet was $32 a night because i have a large SUV, but well worth the price and the feeling of toss the keys to the valet.
Positives: I love the level of customer service from the staff.
Negatives: Loved everything.

This is a huge hotel, great for business travelers. However, parking is $21/night and the garage is old and parking spaces are tight.<BR/>Internet wasn't free either, even in public spaces.
Positives: Right in downtown.
Negatives: Parking was expensive.

Best night's sleep I've had at any hotel.
Positives: Bedding
Negatives: Slow drainage in the shower.

The hotel was clean. Staff was not overly accommodating or efficient for check-in's. Key cards required replacement 3 times over 3 days. Parking is over 20$ per night no exceptions for guests. Renovation was not complete as hotel doors and walls seem to be old. Pool not heated and too cold to swim in as noted by no other guest in pool as well.
Positives: Hotel was clean and location to Atlanta attractions was good.
Negatives: Not well renovated parking 20$ + per night.

The hotel is nice, but it seems to have gone down some since my last visit 8 years ago. The wallpaper was peeling in the hall and the room. The hallway looked worn. It looks like it needs a little care to spruce it up to a 3 star hotel again.
Positives: The room were clean and nice.
Negatives: No reasonable food places near the hotel.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Excellent maintenance of all facilities, restaurants, elevators, escalators, lighting, a/c system, carpeting, room decor and finish was unusually clean and tight for such a big active hotel. Coffee bar in the lobby was well stocked with drinks and breakfast a La Cartes. Gym was the best of any hotel I ever visited with top of the line precor trainers, headphones, etc.
Positives: Everything worked, premium gym, pool was nice, trader vic meal.
Negatives: Leaving for home.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 31 Aug 2010 rated 9 out of 10.
The rooms were very nice and clean, and there was even a motion detecting light that came on at your feet to help you find your way in the dark -- I thought that was great!
Positives: The room is updated and clean..
Negatives: The hotel was much larger than I expected..

Upscale hotels that charge a premium for web access are missing the boat in terms of customer service.

The Hotel was great. The staff was not as great as the hotel, which was a big let down.
Positives: I liked the location of the hotel, and the view.

I think the staff was really great and friendly at this hotel. The room was comfortable, the view was nice, and I enjoyed the experience overall.
Positives: This hotel is in an excellent location for visiting Atlanta attractions!
Negatives: The drainage was kinda slow in the bathtub.

It's fine for a convention, but there are no decent restaurants around the area. The fitness room is fine, but the pool is small. I would not venture outside this hotel at night. It's not safe in Atlanta, regardless where you walk, you'll get hit on by scampers and baggers. Not to mention the robbery that takes place at the Hilton when they charge you $30 to park your car for the night.
Positives: The hotel connected to Peachtree Center, which allowed the opportunity for cheap lunch or dinner.
Negatives: Downtown Atlanta is

The Atlanta Hilton is awful. We were told there was no valet parking. We went in the parking garage - there were at least 30 spaces we could see. We even upgraded the 3 rooms we had - $45 more for each room. Had to end up parking across the street in a pay lot and walk and then got a charge of $75 for not having the ticket in our window.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Not much to tell noise was horrible parking a nightmare.

Great hotel, great restaurants in hotel. I have preteen boys - they loved the full size outdoor basketball court on the 4th floor and the outdoor pool on the 3rd floor. Great fitness facilities, tennis courts. The concierge always made sure the boys had a basketball! Great experience.
Positives: Great restaurants, great location. Pedway to Marriott Marquis.
Negatives: Self parking is $21 a day and internet is $ 12.95 a day.

The hotel is very, very nice. The rooms are clean, quiet, comfortable, and well maintained. The only criticism I have is for the pool - it's rather small and plain, and because it is outside, it was cold, even in the middle of May. But that's a small quibble. I was very happy with my stay there.
Positives: Great location, excellent condition and very clean.
Negatives: The pool was cold.

Overall, the hotel was acceptable with the only real selling points being the bed and staff which were excellent. For the most part though, the hotel presented with average amenities, menus lacking vegetarian options, overpriced WiFi and long distances charges. While the Hilton was good, it cannot be in the same category as the Hyatt or the W.
Positives: Amazing bed, office chair, and television; good view with friendly and helpful staff.
Negatives: Long distance phone charges were difficult to understand until the bill came; overpriced WiFi; restaurant menus were extremely limited.

The service was great. They helped several Dentist from the seminar I was attending, find their way back to their own Motel! The recommended excellent dining experiences!
Positives: Excellent, friendly service!
Negatives: I was a little shocked it cost $18 a day to park.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 30 Mar 2010 rated 5 out of 10.
While the hotel said it had wireless internet, parking, and a breakfast buffet, it didn't say that each of those items was an additional cost. Internet was $17 a day, parking was $21 a day, and the breakfast buffet was in the restaurant located in the lobby, an upscale restaurant. The money I saved on the room was quickly given back to the hotel in other ways. The rooms were clean and spacious, though, and the beds were the best!
Positives: The beds were wonderful!
Negatives: Everything was an extra cost, and not a low cost.

All in all this is a great hotel to stay at. I was going to the Georgia Dome for a event and it was a little bit of a hike so if you have to go there you might want to take a cab. The cab ride was 10.00 dollars to the Dome.
Positives: The view from the room was excellent. The staff was very helpful.
Negatives: Underground parking can be a little confusing to navigate..

The hotel was very nice, clean and reasonably up to date. The walls were thick enough to block noise from other rooms, but noise from the hall was pretty bad. The staff was friendly.

Hotel was convenient to market center. There was not fridge in the room and no soda machine on the floors.
Positives: We could see the firworks from our room. We were at the end of the hall and it was quiet.

The Hilton Atlanta was very nice - clean, comfortable and right down town. We got an excellent price on Priceline, but found out when we arrived that they only offered valet parking - for $28/night! We ended up parking at a public garage down the street for $5/weekend.
Positives: Convenient location, and great view.
Negatives: Staff was a bit snobby.
