Enjoyed, upgraded room after purchase due to changes in my schedule etc/ reasonable priced after purchase, would stay at hotel again. pool is nice great for kids.

This hotel provided a variety of amenities. There is a souvenir shop, restaurant/bar with live entertainment, 18-hold miniature golf, covered parking, walking distance to beach so don't have to deal with public parking, close to several nice eating places with beach-oriented feel, close proximity to several area beaches, clean laundry facility, able to take walks along the attached dock areas, ease of access to Tampa, large walk-in closet in our standard room, large clean pool with many lounge chairs.

Positives: Beautiful setting, convenient location, rooms very clean with towel design surprises, nice variation from the usual hotel style and feel.

Negatives: The low part of the cathedral ceiling was the bathroom for the above room --so sometimes noisy with scoots and walking. No luggage rack in room.

The room space could stand to be larger, where as the closet and area before the bathroom seemed big in comparison. It was clean, but not excellently sparkling.

Positives: The layout and idea for the hotel was unique.

Negatives: The weather made the location not as desireable, for the beach and pools weren't used as I thought we might.

What a pleasant experience. For the price, it was a lovely room, and the atmosphere was super. The pool area was nice for children and adults, and the deck restaurant and bar was clean and staff was friendly.

Positives: Very Floridian atmosphere; lively without being noisy.

Negatives: Deck chairs at pool could use some replacement.

I went with two teenagers and an 11 year old. We got a suite so the two teenage girls could enjoy the bedroom area. The high pitched sound in the lobby areas is so bad that you can't stand to be in there.

Positives: Pool was great and walk to beach wasn't bad.

Negatives: Couldn't use public areas because of high pitch sound to keep birds away.

The front desk staff was welcoming and very efficient. When we got to our room it was clean and very well appointed. The food in the restaurants was very good, the food in the steak house is excellent. while at the pool bar we ordered food and while it was served in to go boxes the quality was still excellent. Service in all locations was superb. "GREAT PLACE" Holiday Inn Harbor side and Jimmy Guana's Bar and restaurant. Don't forget "The Brew masters Steak House" great steak and seafood.

Positives: Location, the pool and amenities, the rooms are great.

Negatives: That I had to leave but I will be back.

If possible, look into staying at one of the many smaller places along Indian Rocks Beach, especially if you don't like larger complexes. The rate was overpriced peak season compared to smaller family owned places along the beach. I saw many vacancy signs up and wished I had known about these other places. Staff were helpful enough.

Negatives: Room did not have outside view. Toilet backed up first day.

Nice older facilities. Had rained that day and some stairwells had water accumulation on some of the treads. Could be hazardous to the unaware.

Positives: Location. Near beach and good seafood eating establishments.

Negatives: Our particular room was close to the lounge. The noise encroached but we didn't mind. Some might.

It was clean and roomy. Did not really have to drive any where, all you needed was there.

We absolutely loved this hotel; charming Key West style hotel in a lovely, quiet, town. Our room was very well appointed, cleaned to perfection each day and we loved the vaulted ceiling and fan. Beds, with lots of pillows on each, were super comfortable. The Waterfall Pool was excellent, lots of fun and not crowded on the couple of occasions we used it. Perfect for a family. Rum Runners Bar poolside was super. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrella tables around the pool. We felt like we were out on the deck of a cruise ship. The atmosphere was great. We dined at both restaurants and enjoyed our meals; the service was excellent in both. We loved the atrium and the park benches where we could just sit and people watch, or read, or whatever. We didn't use the workout facility (except to get towels for the pool) although it has plenty to offer. The kids had fun in the Arcade, and the gift shop held something for everyone. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful and check in and out was a breeze. We am so happy we found this hotel, it will definitely be our base of operations for every visit to our family in the Clearwater area. We can't say enough good things about the hotel, we loved it.

Good hotel if you are only staying a couple days. Any longer and it might not leave a fantastic impression. Great for kids. A couple of blocks from the ocean (not right across the street as stated). Nothing on the beach (restaurants/bars). Excellent food at the two connecting restaurants. Overall we had a great time. Fun is what you make of it.

Positives: Open air, good views, nice restaurants and pool area.

Negatives: Only one elevator for the entire hotel, which was very slow and used very frequently by the hotel staff and their large carts.

The hotel's location is it's biggest plus. The upkeep of the amenities is poor. Some examples, the Internet was down, the weight room in poor condition, no water in the fitness room, shortage of pool towels. The staff was polite, but never had the water bottles put in but they did have the Internet fixed.

Positives: It's location at the beach.

Negatives: Poor upkeep 'Amenities', weight room in poor condition etc.

The hotel did not live up to its internet propaganda. A very dated hotel which I would describe as an enormous white vinyl elephant. With a live band playing at the end of its open air lobby encouraging alcohol consumption and partying this is not the hotel for someone hoping for a good nights sleep.

Positives: The staff was friendly.

Negatives: Any hotel that has a bar with a live band 15 yards from a $200 a night room has its priorities out of line.

Our initial room was way too small, but we upgraded our next check in to a suite for only $50 and we were much happier. We were very dismayed that during both of our stays, we had to share the pool with the general public. Most of the townies that used the pool were out of control kids with no supervision, thus making the use of the pool dangerous for our children.

Positives: We upgraded to a suite that was more comfortable.

Negatives: They allowed public use of their kid friendly hotel pool. That alone would deter us from returning.

I was here in August and am returning in November. I have found this to be my favorite hotel. I was raised in the IRB area and very much enjoy the low key, key west style of the hotel. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. This hotel offers many room types from a typical hotel room with kitchenette to large multi room suites. The best kept secret is the Angry Chicken served at Jimmy Guano's and the smaller private pool far from the kids.

Positives: The hotel is in a quiet area, marina attached. The service is very good, food service and bar service is excellent, food service Director, Ken, is the best.

Negatives: Self laundry didn't work well.
