The hotel was run down. The desk clerk was in an adjacent room cooking something with very strong smell when we arrived. I had to ring for him. When we tried to leave the room, I was unable to open the door from the inside. Fortunately there was a rarity, a second door that opened to an interior hallway. We had to leave by that door because the one to the parking lot would not open. The breakfast room was very shabby and offered very little to eat compared to the LaQuinta the night before. The jelly packages must have been very old, because the jelly would not spread. It had the consistency of a gummy bear. Cannot recommend this hotel.

Positives: Room was reasonably clean.

Negatives: Overall condition run down, especially the breakfast room.

Typical "Indian" runs motel/hotel. Poorly run, shabby and dirty. Run down sums it up. When you smell curry in the lobby, run!

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: Everything.

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: Too expensive for how terrible it was, the receptionist was a jerk.

If you can stay at this hotel for $25 a night or less, it is a value. The room leaked, our floor was covered with water when it rained. The hotel receptionist was a very rude and unclean individual.

Positives: Absolutely nothing.

Negatives: Too expensive for how terrible it was, the receptionist was a jerk.

Good choice as a low cost, clean motel if you are visiting the Walsenburg / La Veta area.

Positives: Very friendly and helpful staff.

Negatives: Drapes that keep out more light would be good.

The plumbing problems made us not see anything else good about the place. The breakfast was very poor. There was cereal but no milk. Old, stale muffins and dough nuts in packages were the only choices. This was at 7:30 a.m. when they should not have been out of almost everything.

Positives: It's location is good because there are few choices in Walsenburg.

Negatives: The sink stopped up, and the shower had no pull handle.
