This hotel was typical Holiday Inn. We arrived in the evening and check in was quick. The next day we talked with staff and they were very helpful in helping us find activities to do and directions. That afternoon when we came back it was raining and we parked our car in the lot. About 2 hours later we noticed people walking by our windows. We were on the bottom floor. We looked out our window to find a river like parking lot. Flowing quickly. The lot was full of cars and no Holiday Inn employees were there. I went to front desk and told them about the problem and they said they knew it and were telling people about the flood in the parking lot. We had been in our room for two hours and know one called or knocked on our door. The receptionist said that it always happens in the spring/summer season and they were taking care of things. We were told to move our car to a parking lot across a 4 lane street and they would pick us up or we could walk across. We were not offered any additional rooms because the place was full. I asked if we were safe on the bottom floor as the water level was rising and sand bags were put at the double doors. I did not sleep well that night until about 3pm when the water seemed to stop flowing and the parking lot was cleared. I did hear in the morning that some people were being reimbursed for expenses of damage to cars and the camping equipment they had inside. We did not sustain damage because we caught it before there was any.
Positives: Hotel had lots of pillows and good beds. Rooms were adequate.
Negatives: The parking lot flooded and our car had to be moved to another location. The stream was turned into a river. Was not told by staff.

The hotel is probably in-line for a remodel. Appears to be a room used for snow skiers and the carpet and such were starting to show wear, etc.
Positives: The room was generous in size and had a refrigerator.
Negatives: A bit dated and well-used in appearance.

Nicely refurbished. That is the only good thing about that hotel. The staff is callous. The restaurant on the compound - Rex's - is awful too. Service is poor and food is pricey and tasteless. Limited options on the menu. They need to add complimentary continental breakfast. After all its a resort area and people from different parts of the country with different culture will visit. Overall just a very bad experience for me and my friends. My first and last stay there.
Positives: Room decor.
Negatives: Rex's

Lovely, newer hotel, clean comfortable beds and pillows, really lovely hotel. Very happy, very friendly staff. Pretty good breakfast in the restaurant. The pool and hottub area outside look beautiful, we had great views of this courtyard but didn't swim.
Positives: Friendliest of this brand I've ever been to.
Negatives: Only downside, you have to drive to get anywhere, not far though.

Location, amenities were excellent. Mattress could have been more comfortable. Not enough sound-proofing; noises outside room were very loud.
Positives: The restaurant was reasonably priced and good food.
Negatives: Rooms need more sound proofing. Outside room noises were very loud!

It is just at the begining of Steamboat Springs so does not have the crowded feeling. They are doing construction but we were there only overnight and it didn't bother us. Should be really nice when finished!
Positives: The hot tub and pool were great!
Negatives: Restaurant was pricey for the type but the kids eat free program helped!
