We stayed two nights. The beds are comfortable and the shower was hot. The cleaning staff did an excellent job cleaning the crumbs from the first night due to my kids munchies. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast buffet accomadated everyone's tastes. There is a mini refrigerator in the room.
Positives: I thought the full breakfast was great. There were eggs, bacon, pancakes, along with the standard continental breakfast.
Negatives: I thought the pool was small, however the kids still enjoyed playing in it.

I was just glad for a clean place to stay with lots of pillows, and breakfast in the morning. The woman serving breakfast was the most pleasant woman I met on my trip and is an asset to the hotel staff.
Positives: Breakfast was excellent, breakfast staff was top quality.
Negatives: Cost was too high.

We were very dissatisfied with our stay at this hotel. When we checked in we tried to upgrade our room to a nonsmoking room and the hotel staff would not work with us in the slightest. We were willing to pay for the upgrade and were informed that even though there were rooms available, they could not change our reservations in any capacity. I have never been treated in such a dissatisfying way. I was also shocked when this hotel charged my credit card again. It's a good thing that I pay close attention to my statements!
Positives: Hot breakfast.
Negatives: The staff were unwilling to work with us when we wanted to upgrade our room once we arrived even though there were rooms available.

We were put in a smoking room and I suffered with allergies the entire trip. The secure back door was propped open with a rock because key cards wouldn't work. Every time I used my key card, I had to go back to the front office to have them scan it so it would work again. Awful experience!

Was very surprised at how clean the rooms were. Hotel staff front desk was friendly, and gave directions to where we wanted to go. It was a plus the home made cookies in the lobby and the free newspapers. I would stay here again without a doubt.
Positives: Hotel was very clean, morning buffet food was good, and staff was friendly.
Negatives: At 2:00 am people were having an hour long talk in the hall. Did not know if it was staff or guests.

Check in ok. Room, ok, little worn. Check out was horrible. She was rude, nasty, and no help. We have family that lives there, we made sure they knew, and will tell everyone that comes there not` to stay at that hotel. Front desk clerk shouldn't be in management, probably shouldn't deal with the public.
Positives: Bigger coffee cups in breakfast area, that's about it.
Negatives: Rude front desk, will never stay there again.

If you are going to stay in Salida, this is the nicest hotel in Salida. We stayed in Salida because it was close to the place we went rafting. However, I would not stay in Salida again, there is nothing to do, and we only found one decent place to eat in the town.
Positives: The rooms were clean and close to the rafting companies.
Negatives: No hot breakfast.

The staff was so friendly and made you feel as if you were friends coming to visit. We could sense that they were happy to serve us and be a part of making our vacation the best it could be. It was kept up well, and the breakfast was wonderful. What a nice break for parents of four children! It was very pleasant to stay there!
