Our son is attending the junior college there and we travel to La Junta frequently to watch him play basketball. This hotel has hosted a "Classic" basketball tournament and had offered discounted rates to the families and to the teams coming to play.
Positives: Family friendly to the junior college . Close to the school.
Negatives: There is nothing to say negative.

Nice place to stay if traveling for leisure and to see the local sights, would stay there again. Price is fair, accommodations clean.
Positives: Great staff. Friendly, helpful.

The staff was great, the rooms cleaned each day, continental breakfast great. Just all around good place to stay. Excellent prices.

This hotel is what I expect from a three star hotel rather than a two star. I have recently stayed at two and a half star hotels that did not begin to measure up to the quality of this facility.
Positives: Clean, well appointed, friendly place to stay.
Negatives: No complaints what-so-ever.

Since there were few choices of 3 star motels in the area, this one was the best of the available ones. If there were better ones, I would use them.
Positives: We liked the room layout & having queen beds.
Negatives: The manager/greeter was barely civil--not very friendly or helpful.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable and the motel is in a very quiet area.
Positives: Most comfortable motel bed we've ever had.
Negatives: Continental breakfast area not large enough.

I would stay here again, providing the hotel does not charge my room to a credit card early, unless they give me an early cash discount. If for some reason I would have needed to cancel it would have taken another 30 days to get a credit on my credit card. The hotel is one of the better Holiday Inn Express hotels that I have stayed with.
Positives: Fine hotel, exceptionally clean and up- to- date.
Negatives: They charged my credit card 45 days before my stay. I think this practice is inappropriate.
