Located in beautiful Estes Park Colorado near Rocky Mountain National Park, Idlewilde by the River offers many different styles of cabins to meet your individual needs. Idlewilde is located on the banks of the Big Thompson River. The sound of rushing water is highly audible throughout the resort during most of the season. With Idlewilde's close proximity to town, there are literally hundreds of specialty shops, galleries, and restaurants for your enjoyment.

Want to check out the view from 12,000 feet? Rocky Mountain National Park's west entrance is just 1 mile from Idlewilde. Drive, bike, or hike up the Trail Ridge Road, or if you feel adventurous, you can try out the Fall River Road and trek over the Continental Divide.
Idlewilde offers several cabins by the river located right on the banks of the Big Thompson. Others are a little further away, less than a minutes walking distance. Just let us know what you're interested in and we will do our best to provide it. One thing to keep in mind in making your decision is that the cabins by the river tend to book faster, so if that is where your interests lie, you may want to act as soon as possible.
We have five different styles of one bedroom cabins to choose from.
Our one bedroom cabins by the river include The Pine Cone, the Dun-Workin, the Ataloa, and the Riverside. The Holiday is located slightly off the rivers bank adjacent to the riverside courtyard.
Idlewilde also offers six different styles of two bedroom cabins for your consideration.
Our two bedroom cabins by the river include The Pine Rest, the Shemara, the Aloha, and the We Four. The Cannon Ball is located approximately 65 feet from the bank of the river and the Hummingbird is located in close proximity to the hot tub, and horseshoe pit
dditionally, we have two different styles of three bedroom cabins by the river if you require more room. The Linger Longer and the Naughty Pine. These cabins have plenty of room for larger parties.
ll 13 units are housekeeping cabins, which is similar to your own home.
We provide clean towels and sheets as needed, bar soap, and toilet paper. We do not provide a daily cleaning service. Of course, your cabin will be spotless upon your arrival, but cleaning will be up to occupants until departure. The kitchens are equipped with basic necessities including stoves, refrigerators and microwaves. Sorry, no pets.
