This hotel is very outdated and in need of an extreme makeover. Curtains in room had little holes in them that let the light in (almost like from a moth?). The carpet in the room was so filthy that we had to keep our shoes on the whole time (until we went to bed and then we kept them at our bedside to put on in the night for trips to the bathroom)
Positives: Very helpful and friendly staff. Free shuttle service available.
Negatives: Carpet in room was filthy! Had to keep shoes on at all times. Pool/spa close on Labor Day, even though they say they have that amenity.

When I first I was greeted nicely and given my room. As I went into the room that I was given it was actually still occupied. The front desk lady stated that the guy that gave me the room messed up and it should have been 10 rooms down the hall. The room was nice and big which was great due to space and all. The second night there was a Guest a few doors down getting remove from the hotel, so was awaken around 1 am with the cops pounding on the door. Sounded like gun shots at first. This happened twice before the door was opened and then yelling started to occur for about 30 min. The next morning I voiced my concern and the staff seemed to not take any interest in my concern and just stated that the guest was removed and hopefully tonight no one else will be removed by the police. The rest of the stay was fine it was just those two bumps that left an impression in my mind. I do not complain much, but I did voice my concerns and nothing was done to even seem like they tried to make my stay better or compensate in any way.
Positives: The closeness to everything that was in walking distance.
Negatives: When voicing concern front desk person didn't seem to care.

Very good for the price.
Positives: 3-mile shuttle service.
Negatives: Nothing at all.

I've seen poor reviews for this hotel and I was surprised. Someone will always have a bad experience, but I just have to say I was impressed. The lobby is very inviting and updated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I've paid more for a lot worse. Staff was very friendly and the shuttle driver was very accomodating. I would recommend for a very inexpensive hotel.
Positives: Hotel was nicer and cleaner than expected. Staff was very friendly. Great value.
Negatives: Decor in rooms a bit outdated.

Hotel was fine, shuttle drivers were fine, front desk staff not helpful at all. Seemed like I bothered them.
Positives: Shuttle to downtown.
Negatives: Front desk staff was not helpful.

The staff was rude and unhelpful. The room was filthy and it stunk. The rest of the hotel was dirty and managed poorly.
Positives: There was nothing
Negatives: Staff was awful.

The hotel was run down, and the staff had no class or respect for the guests.
Positives: I liked nothing.
Negatives: I hated everything about it. The staff was horrible.

I arrived late and tired. The night manager demanded a credit card imprint. I showed her my voucher. SHe continued. I refused/ I went to my room and found a problem with the internet. I called the desk. She gave me an 800 repair/support number. I couldn't put through the call. She said the telephone didn't work because I didn't leave a credit card imprint. I said it wasn't about the phone it was about the internet service I paid for. It was rude and unpleasant. I resolved the internet with my cell phone. The hotel location is in a sketchy neighborhood at best.
Positives: It was close to several liquor stores and a laudromat.
Negatives: TGE staff and internet service.

The hotel was very conveniently located to downtown Denver, restaurants, bars, and other attractions. They offered a free shuttle service to various locations in Denver. The price was very reasonable compared to nearby hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Positives: Very reasonable, free parking, convenient location.
Negatives: I was asked to buy perfume by someone in the lobby (not a staff member).

This would be okay if you couldn't find anything else as it's reasonably quiet, with clean and comfortable rooms. However, the public spaces look shabby and the hallways smell like smoke, even on the non-smoking floor. Bathroom was small and awkward and had peeling wallpaper. Location is okay, about a 25 minute walk from downtown; the world's biggest Laundromat is right next door.
Positives: Comfortable bed, reasonably quiet.
Negatives: Hallways that smelt like smoke, shabby public spaces, small bathroom.

Pleasantly surprised.
Positives: Surprisingly nice.
Negatives: Restaurant closed, only one desk clerk.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but I wouldn't stay here again. The neighborhood didn't seem so great (and that's coming from a New Yorker) and it was far away from the "action". Also, the toilets didn't really flush, and the entire place is loud as heck. All of their machinery buzzed, whirred, hummed, and generally just kept us awake.
Positives: Great hotel bar.
Negatives: Bad toilets. Really noisy. Not guests, just loud hotel noises.

Affordable. Very friendly staff, shuttle service and spacious rooms compensated for the paint-smelling hallways. Recommended for those who want a decent place to sleep.
Positives: Cheap, decent space, good shuttle service and friendly staff.
Negatives: A little far from good restaurants.

Decent, fun hip up and coming location near the capitol. Hotel itself is a little dingy and run down, but the rooms have been re-done nicely and the beds and furnishings are pleasant.
Positives: Clean beds and bathroom.
Negatives: Smelled smoky in the corridors and lobby.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. Poolside could use some attention. The shuttle van driver was very inattentive and didn't bother to notice we had luggage so we put it in ourselves. At our drop off location he proceeded to drive away and didn't even notice my husband removing the bags, fortunately no injury was caused.
Positives: Our room had a nice little patio close to the pool.
Negatives: The shuttle service was horrible.

I would never stay their again. (I would never go to Denver again) just because the neighborhood it is located in. The front desk service was surprisingly good. The beds, bedding and windows are the only things that has been updated in probably 30 years. It's a step above two stars but the price is a little high. You can stay in park city at a 4 star hotel for less.
Positives: The service at the front desk was the best thing about the place.
Negatives: The halls smelled of someone smoking weed. It smelled like skunk. The dumpster was overflowing swell.

This was a comfortable hotel room. It smelled kind of funny and the plumbing wasn't great, but the beds were comfortable and the staff was very friendly. None of the ice machines on any of the floors worked.
Positives: The window looked right out to the pool area.
Negatives: There were some plumbing issues. The toilet didn't like to flush and the cold water constantly dripped.

Overall the hotel accommodations were reasonable and nothing was unsatisfying. It was generally an average hotel but great to stay at in the Denver Downtown area for a reasonable price.
Positives: The close location to the downtown area was great.
Negatives: It had a funny smell in the hallways.

Old and unfortunately situated in an area that went down hill.
Positives: The price.
Negatives: The location. It was not Downtown Denver. It is outside of the downtown area.

At first the hotel may put you off, being in a not-so-great neighborhood, and the building is showing its age. The hallways were surprisingly dirty, looked like they had not been vacuumed in quite a while, so on the way up to our room we were expecting the worst. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the room, and the comfiness of the bed. If I remember correctly, as it has been a while, there are not many channels on the TV, but then we didn't stay in the room for long. We also did not try the restaurant, although I have heard good things about it. There is a parking lot in the back of the building with free parking, which is also a plus. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Positives: very clean rooms, free parking in back, comfy beds
Negatives: on Colfax, confusing corridors, dirty hallways, a bit old
