Lumber Baron Inn
Denver, Colorado
Lumber Baron Inn is a bed & breakfast located in Denver.
In 1890, John Mouat, Scottish immigrant, amassed a fortune in lumber. Working with the top architects of the day, Mouat helped build Denver from a mining camp along Cherry Creek to the crown rowing town of Highlands - geographically and morally above the wild town of Denver. Built as a home to his five children and wife, Amelia, Mouat showcased his finest wares in this 8,500 square s: cherry, oak, poplar, sycamore, maple, and walnut - each with distinct carvings and fine details. The dining room woodwork has individually carved rosettes representing varied species of trees.
Nearby restaurants include Buchi Cafe Cubano, Bodega, The Universal, and Pho 38 And Noodle House.
