While the views were beautiful, the room was hardly worth the cost. Just because you put resort after the name of the hotel. Walls were very thin. We could hear the people above us walking around all night.
Positives: The view of the mountains from out balcony was amazing!
Negatives: Resort charged my card resort fee twice.

An aging hotel that just received a $20 million makeover of its room interiors. Very comfortable bed with mattress topper and balconies off each room. Only complaint was the resort fee of $16 per day per room, which the front desk refused to remove even though we were traveling with elderly and special needs people who obviously had no need for the swimming pool or WiFi.
Positives: Remodeled rooms, attractive lobby area & decks.
Negatives: Resort fee - $16 per day per room.

We would love to return and stay here again.
Positives: Beautifully decorated room!
Negatives: Bed was too soft.

Apart from the bait and swith on the "resort fee" it was a very pleasant experience.
Positives: The lunch buffet was very reasonably priced and top quality.
Negatives: They charge an extra $15 dollard resort fee.

The resort is lovely. It is very much a military resort and I felt like I was at the officers club. The rooms and grounds are beautiful. Not much in the way of a spa. Only an outdoor pool and hot tub. Beautiful small lake with little boats to take out. The golf course made for nice green surroundings. Quite and peaceful for the most part.
Positives: The room was spotless and very well appointed with lovely furnishings and a wonderful view of Cheyenne Mountain. My room overlooked the golf course.
Negatives: A maintenance room next door to mine had two doors that some one continuously slammed all night long.

Negatives: View from room.

Wonderful stay! We would stay there again and again. Very private and romantic. Make sure your room isn't next to the huge outside air ventilation fans.
Positives: Beautiful, romantic, wonderful! Every room has a gorgeous view of the pool and golf course.
Negatives: The huge air circulation fans outside our room were very noisy. Between the inside fan and our side fans our sleep was interrupted.

My girlfriend and I had a great romantic stay. The remodeled rooms are amazing.
Positives: Gay friendly!
Negatives: There was construction in the parking lot.

This hotel is best for a family vacation with kids.
Positives: Without question the staff is 4 star. However, they need to clean up the rooms.
Negatives: Our room had many problems. If we wanted to take the time the staff would have taken care of it.

These jerks charge a $15 DAILY resort fee that you must pay.
Positives: Desk staff friendly.
Negatives: Stupid $15 resort fee in addition.

We enjoyed our hotel stay. The rooms were wonderful and my two year old called them her new home. The beds were very comfortable and they had very nice linens on there. The buffet was really expensive but they served Prime Rib and other fine dining. And since we were hotel guest my daughter got to dine on the same thing for free. The staff was very friendly. But it is pricey for the rooms although you definitely got what you paid for. It's also very close to all of the attractions on Colorado Springs.
Positives: The room was very nice and we accidental left five dollars out and it was still
Negatives: They were doing construction so it was a little noisy. The pool outside was heated but it was still a little chilly.

This hotel sits at the base of a mountain with views of Pikes Peak. The Lodge has a lovely gourmet restaurant as well as an bar with a great menu. Huge windows and fireplace allows one to sit and relax over a glass of wine.
Positives: It is a beautiful lodge with spectacular views of the mountains and golf course.
Negatives: There is a $15.00 facilities charge each day you stay regardless if you use their facilities.

Great setting and good fitness facility. People bidding the price will be surprised by the $15 daily resort fee.
Positives: Nice quiet setting.
Negatives: Heater was old with no thermostat. Shower was small and hard to regulate temperature.

Very relaxing and comfortable place with everything to spoil you.
Positives: Plush
Negatives: Hidden costs. There was an extra resort fee added to the room fee.

Lovely and beautiful hotel. Warm and helpful staff and very attentive. Facilities are what one would expect at a beautiful 4 star hotel. My room was impeccably clean and made up daily to perfection. Great room service - very prompt and helpful. Buffet is expensive. They had many fine entrée dishes, but hardly anything at the salad bar. Desserts were very middle of the road. Our hostess sat us with menus and we never saw her again so helped ourselves to the buffet. Beautiful scenery and very convenient parking. Very safe and secure place.

Positives: Lovely place, safe and beautiful, friendly and helpful staff, very nice rooms, exceptional housekeeping staff, beautiful scenery and fantastic breakfast.
Negatives: Expensive buffet, small selection of salads, snotty waitress, noisy air conditioners outside that disrupted peace of sitting on balconies.

The hotel was beautiful. I could hear the people above me. They were not loud, but the floor squeaked. The people were not loud, the floor just squeaked all night long. I did say something in the morning, they told me they were going to be renovating in November because other people also complained. They deducted the resort fee from my bill.
Positives: The setting was beautiful.
Negatives: I could hear the room above me all night long, the floor was squeaky, could not sleep.

Clean, somewhat difficult to get to. 'Extra' fees added 21% to base cost of stay. They should include that in their rate! NOT a place to stay for sleeping only. Food seemed to be expensive.
Positives: Clean.
Negatives: Please add to description $15 extra charged to everyone for 'management fees.'

On check in we were not told about a $15 resort fee that would be charged each day. We were put in a room that was next to a sidewalk that was being jack-hammered at 8 am the next morning.
Positives: Absolutely nothing.
Negatives: Staff lied to us about resort fee upon check in. Put in room next to construction area..
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 23 Apr 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
We paid for our reservation and upon check in they charged us a $15 per day resort fee.
Positives: View and fireplace.
Negatives: Spread out too much.

This is not a four star hotel. It is nice enough, but not four stars. I got charged $10 for two bottles of water that I never even saw in the room, let alone drank. I also got charged a $15 resort fee. This was for parking, internet (never used), etc.
Positives: I was clean.
Negatives: Location was difficult to find; I got charged for bottled water I never saw.

Not worth the cost.
Positives: Beautiful.
Negatives: The way we were treated.

Hotel was very nice. I was not happy with the $15 resort fee.
Positives: The atmosphere and staff were great! Champagne brunch was good.
Negatives: For a 4 star hotel there was trash in all trash cans and coffee grounds in the pot upon arrival nice, but not very clean.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 12 Jan 2010 rated 5 out of 10.
Dirty coffee pot, no wash cloths in room, no facial tissue. Staff offered complimentary breakfast buffet coupons and took off the additional $15.00 facility charge.
Positives: Excellent breakfast buffet.
Negatives: No complimentary breakfast. Additional $15.00 facility charge.

The setting overlooking the golf course and in the shadow of Cheyenne Mountain was absolutely beautiful - the service of the employees was impeccable and we would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Colorado Springs market.
Positives: Gorgeous setting overlooking the gold course andv in the shadow of Chrenne Mountain
Negatives: We had NO concerns during our stay.

This was my second stay here. The room was excellent and cleaner than last time I was here. The food was excellent, the staff very accommodating, and it is a great place to just escape the normal routines and get peace!
Positives: The staff and room.
Negatives: Nothing.

Worth the drive to the fitness center, because of the 5 star locker rooms there!
Positives: The hot tub and steam room (over all great locker room at the fitness center).
Negatives: Did not clean our room one day.

Beautiful area of Colorado Springs with easy access to downtown if you have a car. Gorgeous lobby and great Sunday brunch. Friendly staff. Our room was a little tight, but comfortable.
Positives: Beautiful location and lobby.
Negatives: The only problem was a lot of noise from the room above and a dog that barked.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 19 Mar 2008 rated 2 out of 10.
The resort itself needs to be updated/remodeled. The rooms were very dark, the carpet was old, the shower grout had a few spots of mold. It was not somewhere that I would take my family due to the type of guest that this resort is attracting. The view of the mountains was beautiful and the location to some of the area attractions was perfect. Lastly this resort is in desperate need of a makeover considering it is claiming three to four star ratings.
Positives: Beautiful location.
Negatives: Room was not the cleanest, other guests were too loud.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 29 Jan 2008 rated 8 out of 10.
Excellent Location and Public amenities.
Positives: Beautiful Lobby, Excellent restaurant.
Negatives: Room was small, bathroom dirty, beds small.

Hotel nice but snow was not removed from sidewalks and parking area making it a hazard to load and unload baggage. Fitness room, swimming pool, hot tub and restaurants were very far from our room blocks away not even close enough to walk we had to drive and they closed at 7 pm.
Positives: Clean.
Negatives: Pool, hot tub restaurants were many buildings away from our room.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 07 Jan 2008 rated 10 out of 10.
The staff was very accommodating and all of them deserve to be commended. Housekeeping needs to check the rooms more thoroughly for cleanliness especially dust buildup and in the bathroom. Other than that, my stay was very relaxing and very enjoyable, I will definitely return to this resort!
Positives: It felt like I was in a mountain lodge.
Negatives: Cleanliness of the room.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 07 Jan 2008 rated 5 out of 10.
It took us 45 minutes to get into our room, we had to hear the front desk clerk in a fight with her husband on the phone (20 minutes phone call with here crying), and then our keys didn't work after a 10 minutes walk to our room. Once in our room someone's half drunk water bottle rolled out from under the bed. At the Mountain View restaurant the service was snooty with over priced, under seasoned food. The structure of the facility was however very nice, with a nice room that had all the standard facilities with a more expensive spent than average. I would not go back to that hotel, I rather save my money, stay at a Comfort Inn and get good service.
Positives: Beautiful place to stay, with a good view of Norad.
Negatives: Overall a beautiful place, but the details were neglected. As newly weds in our early twenties we were treated as kids with no money!

The views are beautiful. Staff sparse. Two people at check in with many checking in (slow). Sunday brunch less than stellar for almost $30 per person. Had to hunt down server to get coffee and drinks. I was given a 9:00 a.m. appointment for the next morning, but told due to the holiday weekend it might be a problem. I wasn't informed until 8:30 a.m., a 1/2 hr before my appointment I couldn't get the massage. The room was clean and the cleaning person was always timely and did an excellent job. The pool had one person at the snack bar who took forever to prepare drinks, a six person line. On the whole the hotel seemed to lack appropriate staff.
Positives: The beautiful views.
Negatives: Sunday brunch mediocre for the money.

Great resort hotel convenient to coos airport, i-25 and broad more. Helpful, friendly staff. Fitness center and restaurant buffet were outstanding. Room was excellent; however, noise from adjacent room due to a lack of soundproofing was annoying.
Positives: Great setting with wonderful amenities.
Negatives: Insufficient sound proofing between rooms proven by noisy next door neighbors.
