The hotel fronts the freeway and add to that the long uphill on ramp of same. It is easily the nosiest room I have ever stayed in. Luckily tired first night and hot so AC drowned out enough to sleep. 11 night stay and staff told me they would move me after first night. Um, somehow overlooked so I finally asked to be moved. Like heaven and hell difference. Wonderful quiet room facing mtns. Room facing road is like new: facing mtns is used.

Positives: Quality room, just be aware of the road side. South side can have view of mountains and be quiet.

Negatives: Oh my. This is a Jekyll and Hyde hotel.

We were very please with this hotel. The location was great for us.

Positives: Very nice and clean.

Negatives: Small breakfast area where we get food.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 25 May 2011 rated 9 out of 10.

Excellent for business travel, many restaurants nearby and only 10 minutes from Garden of the Gods so you could get out for a walk and feel far from the city.

Positives: The separation of bedroom/living room was nice, felt spacious and comfortable.

Negatives: The air freshener used in the hotel smelled good but was overpowering, to strong, made me gag in hallways.

Centrally-located in the city. Nearby restaurants. Close to attractions.

Positives: Clean, spacious, more-than-met our expectations or hopes.

Negatives: NA

I liked the hotel and would stay again, especially at the price we got via priceline. Big room, big TV, convenient location, very friendly staff, great free coffee.

Positives: Large room, good coffee, and continental breakfast.

Negatives: It is a little difficult to get to from the main road, have to do a U turn.

My review is I would recommend this hotel to my friends and my family.

Positives: The rooms was spacious and the atmosphere is very welcoming.

Negatives: Only that there wasn't an indoor pool.

Very good rooms and people that work their.

Positives: Very nice rooms.

Negatives: The pool was closed and 7 year old had her heart set on a swim.

I was not expecting the quality and very nice decor of the room. The room was well designed and very comfortable. The large flat screen TV swiveled and was visible from both the bed and sofa. It would have been easy to spend a week in the room, but I was only there for one night.

Positives: Very nice room decor and amenities.

Negatives: Parking was poorly laid out - lighting could have been better.

The hotel was clean, and comfortable. When you pay 90$ for a room the breakfast should include protein of some sort . They had a menu you could order from, but
nothing of substains for free.

Positives: Clean room

Negatives: The breakfast was not very good at all, holiday inn express has much better breakfast than Hyatt did. This just does not seem right!

I
stay at this hotel all the time for business. This was the first time that
I was really disappointed in the hotel room. To use a word of my mother, the room felt "seedy." I think it is appalling that the mattress sagged so much, wallpaper was peeling. Looked liked the staff really did not care at all about the quality and presentation of the room.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: The room had obviously seen a lot of use; mattress was old and had a huge sag; wall paper was peeling.

Overall we are very satisfied of the quality at this hotel. Clean room ( very important for me) and friendly staffs.

Positives: Clean.

Negatives: Swimming pool is outdoor, can't use it in cold weather.

We really enjoyed it. I only wished the pool was indoors as it was a bit chilly outside.

Positives: It was a weekend getaway with a friend and was so nice.

Negatives: The electricity went out for at least an hour.

Excellent hotel, easy access to the highway, and friendly staff with spacious, very nice rooms.

Positives: Rooms were excellent, and good continental breakfast.

Negatives: Nothing.

This is an extended stay type hotel with kitchen facilities in each room. There is no restaurant or bar. But it does serve hot breakfast in the mornings and some kind of evening social (I did not attend). The rooms are very nice with both wired and wireless internet access.

Positives: Upscale with a kitchenette.

Negatives: Train did not bother me, but might some people.

Lovely, clean safe place to stay. Very well located. Staff is extremely accommodating. After checkout I realized I accidentally left my phone charger in the room. The desk clerk went to my former room and retrieved it, and held it for me until I returned. The staff was also helpful about sites to see and scenic routes to take.

Positives: The staff was really helpful and accommodating.

Negatives: There was a slight odor in the living area of our room, but it didn't extend to the bedroom.

We stayed over the Memorial Day weekend with our 3-year old. Location is very convenient, staff was very helpful and friendly, check-in and check-out took mere minutes. Free breakfast was OK, but the lobby gets full quickly. The only drawbacks - too loud air conditioning in the room and the bed size (felt like twin, not Queen).

Positives: Great location; nice room interior; very clean facility; staff is friendly and helpful.

Negatives: Noise from the nearby highway; the Queen beds were more like twin size; the air conditioning unit way too loud.

I was very happy with the layout of the room with the pull out couch/living space in one area and then a pseudo room divider to make the sleeping space its own area; I did not like that the beds were full beds vs. Queen (or they sure felt like full sized beds) and was not happy about not having even a little 2 drawer dresser to somewhat unpack and had to live out of a suitcase; however, it is a hotel so living out of a suitcase is norm, I guess.

Positives: The front area living space and then the sleeping area.

Negatives: Full beds, not Queen; no dresser drawers for clothes.

The hotel was beautiful with hot food available 24/7. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Free continental breakfast was great!

Positives: Attractive decore and friendly staff.

Negatives: None

Exceeded expectations, large, very clean room and a large HDTV (approximately 47 inch) with easy access to plug ins for multimedia etc., limited items on continental breakfast but all areas of hotel were very clean and staff was very courteous. Would love to stay there again!

Positives: Large rooms, great TV, very clean.

Negatives: Small bathroom.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 21 Mar 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Check-in was fairly quick. I asked for an upper-floor room away from elevators, vending, etc. I did get an upper-floor room, but right next to the elevators! I returned to reception and they quickly set me up with a new room. The room was very clean and larger than I expected with a large sitting room with sofa separate from the sleeping area. Like most of these express hotels (Holiday Inn Express is another example), the bathroom was a little cramped. The room came equipped with a flat panel TV, desk, and fridge with bar area. I slept well in the room and heard very little ambient noise from outside or in the hallway.

Positives: Staff was friendly and helpful, offering advice about the hip area of town.

Negatives: Reception, lobby, and restaurant are all located in a rather cramped space. Dining area is limited.

We had a very pleasant stay. The view of the mountains made the trip!

Positives: The hotel was very quiet and the beds were great.

Negatives: The front door was not automatic and if someone didn't help it was a struggle to get carts in and out of the hotel.

I will never stay there again. It is ridiculous that a three star hotel can not provide hot water for all of its guest. I have never had to take a COLD shower before in a hotel.

Positives: It was close to the highway.

Negatives: They could not provide enough hot water for everyone.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 16 Aug 2009 rated 8 out of 10.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel room was a little musty smelling and could probably use some new carpet, and the bathroom was a bit small, but the rest of the hotel was nice, the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean.

Positives: Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly.

Negatives: Rooms are a little dated and had a slight musty smell.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 29 May 2009 rated 10 out of 10.

We would definitely stay here again.

Positives: Beautiful, great breakfast, great location, great service.

Negatives: Needs more than one toaster for busy breakfast times.

Very well appointed, spacious rooms. Close to tourist areas. Starbucks coffee available in the lobby. Free wi-fi. Great service.

Positives: Well appointed rooms. Continental breakfast was great. View of Pikes Peak from room.

Negatives: Nothing.

Everything was as expected. I have a choice next time I travel to Colorado Springs. I have 1 of 2 memories when visiting a hotel.

Positives: Nice, clean, staff friendly, convenient location.

Negatives: Small dining area, no whole milk, and no vending machines.

Beautiful & comfortable. Apparently, we were too common for this hotel! Loved the hotel, but the staff upon check in left a lot to be desired! Staff when we were checking out was very friendly.

Positives: Very nice & comfortable.

Negatives: Staff very unfriendly & not helpful at all about it!

You walk in and are greeted with friendly people. Not over bearing, but obviously willing to help. Everyone had a smile. The room was great. First time I had seen a lay out like this one. It is a room I would take with me every place I went if I could.

Positives: One of the best places I have ever stayed at.

Negatives: Only one problem someone from house keeping knocked on our door at 7:30 AM.

Second time we stayed. My son is going to UCCS so the location can't be beat. We shipped about 7 packages and they were all there when we arrived. Breakfast is nice. Other food simple but good. Remote printer is very handy. Lots of towels and lovely soaps/shampoo, good hairdryer, great TV, little fridge. As last time, housekeeping was not perfect. One day (Sunday) they did not come which I did not like. Other than that it's a wonderful place and I will stay there again.

Positives: Great location, great amenities -loved the remote printer.

Negatives: Housekeeping is not always timely.

We have stayed at two other Hyatt Places in other cities and loved them. But they were for short stays. This was a much longer stay, more then a week. I had been told all Hyatt Places were the same so we were surprised when the kitchen staff said they had no microwave to heat my daughter's breakfast. Also no laundry facilities. Do you know how hard it is to find a laundry mat in a safe neighborhood these days? Also the maid service was spotty. They would forget to do at least one thing each day and it was always something different.

Positives: Quite and comfortable.

Negatives: No microwave, no laundry.
