Named one of Colorado's and the West's most romantic and distinctive inns, the Alps hosts 12 unique guest rooms, each furnished with mission and arts and crafts furnishings, stained glass windows, and a beautiful working antique fireplace. Many of the rooms have double Jacuzzi tubs and French doors leading to our gardens and patios or to their own private porches. All have private attached baths.
A historic landmark, the Inn was originally constructed in the 1870's as one of Colorado's first resorts for those traveling to and from the mining districts on the historic Switzerland Trail Railroad. Completely upgraded and re-appointed, the Alps reopened in 1993 to again be one of Colorado's finest lodgings.
Spring & summer are beautiful in Boulder Canyon. Enjoy hiking, bicycling, birding or fly fishing outside your door. Take an evening stroll and watch deer and other wildlife along the Boulder Creek path. Spend the day visiting one of our many summer festivals or enjoy Shakespeare under the stars at the Mary Rippon Theater. For those who just want to sit, relax, or read a favorite book, come enjoy one of our gardens with their mountain views or our many common areas located within the inn.

The Alps is an award winning luxury country inn. All 12 guest rooms feature private bathrooms, king- or queen-size beds, mission style furnishings, working Victorian fireplaces with beautiful antique mantles, ceiling fans, and stained glass windows. Included in our room rates are evening desserts and a full gourmet breakfast served in our dining room.
Additionally, many of our rooms have double Jacuzzi bathtubs, double and single stained glass French doors leading to our mountainside patio and garden area or their own private balcony porches.
Room pricing is quoted from low season single to high season double occupancy.
